    Payroll Administrator

    Job Description:

    • This role will be responsible for end-to-end processing of payroll data whilst ensuring all service level agreement targets adhered to.

    KEY TASKS

    Operational Delivery

    • Timely & accurate capturing of payroll input data
    • Adherence to payroll calendars and deadlines
    • Liaise with customers and third parties on payroll queries within 48 hours and provide regular feedback to clients
    • Net pay comparison checking & payslip checking
    • Understanding of payroll calculations and able to do payslip interpretations 
    • Familiarise with Client’s policy and procedures
    • Audits and self-audit conducted on SAP data vs source documents
    • Extract and submit the earnings report for Rand Mutual Assurance
    • Knowledge of payroll related legislation which includes the BCEA, Tax Act, Medical Aid and Pension fund regulations 
    • Conduct affordability checks for the SARS IT88 deductions
    • Assist with UAT Testing on an adhoc basis
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes

    Ultra Truck Operator FTE

    Job Description:

    As our Ultra-Truck Operator your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Adhere, read, and sign all appropriate work instructions and standards.
    • Attend Safety meetings with the supervisor and team and ensure adherence to all safety protocols.
    • Effectively identify hazards and safety deviations in the area of responsibility.
    • Apply SLAM/HIRA/Mini HIRA correctly and report any safety or health-related issues.
    • Take all necessary safety precautions when working on production equipment.
    • Active participation in SLAMs, HPHs, relevant Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.

    Performance and Delivery

    Ultra-truck operating:

    Inspect equipment according to prescribed standards at the beginning of the shift and record in the inspection list:

    • Inspect the safe working condition of the multiple safety devices, e.g., collision avoidance system, cameras, fatigue monitoring system, fire suppression system, vehicle stability, as well as the general condition and safety of the truck, tyres, etc., to prevent damage and injury to people and to minimise financial losses.
    • Check fire extinguishers and lock-out devices and report any deviations immediately to the supervisor.
    • Participate in a multi-skilled initiative per the agreed schedule to offset the support equipment.
    • Visually inspect equipment conditions at the end of the shift, report deviations to the supervisor and follow up on abnormalities.

    Inspect loading and dumping areas visually for any deviations to ensure effective hauling, prevention of tyre damage and elimination of safety hazards.

    • Follow predetermined routes within the complex haul road network, including multiple pits with loading and dumping destinations with specific road signs, adhere to regulations, and follow prescribed hauling standards.
    • Load Haul trucks and dump ore/waste according to standards within the set cycle time.
    • Maintain truck efficiency and optimal speed control by frequently engaging with other equipment operators and road construction teams to ensure optimal cycle times.
    • Engage with the Shovel operator to ensure optimal loads; the loading scaled information and communication with the shovel operator to ensure accurate loading.
    • Manage various scenarios, i.e. hauling, tipping in adverse weather conditions, fire prevention, double-sided loading, guided spotting, and manual dispatch.
    • Responsible for safe operation and adherence to specific legislation, i.e., vehicle control, which is reportable to legislative bodies like the DMRE.
    • Ensure efficient truck dispatch over and above what the system stipulates by continuously engaging with team members, supervisors, and the dispatch control room, mainly when unplanned events occur.
    • Respond to any deviations from procedures and practices, i.e. when HPIs occur, explain practically how procedures and practices were adhered to and can be enhanced, which leads to system- and procedural improvements.
    • Report any equipment defects and malfunctions to the control room as soon as they occur and report any procedural deviations to the supervisor.
    • Participate in the investigations of vehicle-related incidents, i.e. fire incidents, vehicle interaction HPIs, property damage, etc.
    • Assist supervisor and co-workers when required or instructed.

    Clean and Environmentally Friendly Work Area:

    • Maintain good housekeeping standards.
    • Clean equipment with the appropriate tools.
    • Participate in cleaning activities performed beyond the allocated area.
    • Clean all safety signs and equipment, ensure visibility, legibility and fit.

    Job Description:

    • The purpose of the Risk Management and Internal Audit team is to empower the organisation to identify and manage risks and opportunities and through independent, risk-based assurance we proactively provide strategic insight and trusted advice, to help strengthen the organisation’s ability to create, protect, and sustain value.

    Purpose

    • Provide dedicated coordination and oversight to strengthen the organisation’s Combined Assurance model, improving assurance quality, governance maturity, and management visibility through a unified, enterprise-wide view of risk. The role enables effective planning, alignment, and monitoring of assurance activity across the 2nd and 3rd lines.

    Planning

    • Coordinate and maintain the annual Combined Assurance Plan.

    Specialist - Sustainability Reporting (FTC)

    Purpose

    • The purpose of this role is to support the development and execution of the non-financial reporting process and auditability of the non-financial data.
    • This will include ensuring the required data is available for compliance with global reporting regulations; responsibility for scope 3 data collection and management of the 3rd party undertaking calculations; the definition, documentation and implementation of ESG reporting controls and attestation process (including working with local teams to implement and embed); and managing the execution of the ESG data external assurance process.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and manage execution of the BAU external sustainability assurance process including Business and SME engagements, planning, documentation and execution. Work with broader team to integrate internal and external assurance plans as well as internal control framework requirements.
    • Support the Sustainability Reporting and Assurance Manager in providing the data required to ensure compliance with relevant sustainability reporting laws and regulations as defined by Group Sustainability.
    • Coordinate the Group’s ESG external data reporting input process in line with requirements and calculation methodologies established by Group Sustainability and relevant SMEs.  This includes managing the third party responsible for the scope 3 calculations; building and maintaining close relationships with key stakeholders, and reviewing the data provided for reporting variances.
    • Support development, implementation and management of the Group’s ESG Minimum Reporting Controls and Attestation process over externally reported ESG data.
    • Management of completeness of group ESG data submissions in accordance with timetable.
    • Work with Sustainability Strategy & Governance team to articulate the financial information required to be tracked going forwards for internal and external reporting purposes.  Coordinate the inputs required from the relevant finance teams (at group and locally) to ensure consistent and reliable data collection processes.
    • Support the Manager Sustainability Reporting & Assurance in delivery of project work relating to ESG reporting and assurance.
    • Foster strong, ongoing relationships with Businesses, SMEs and sustainability data-owners.
    • Facilitate an effective, efficient and pragmatic working relationship between Group Finance, Group Sustainability and the Businesses, ensuring knowledge is shared between teams and supporting upskilling of all teams.

    IT Specialist (Marketing & Logistics)

    Job Description:

    • To provide interface between the business community and the IM organisation to provide commercial system services and support to Anglo American.
    • To lead and evolve the enterprise app capabilities which connect and automate core business processes across ERP and adjacent systems. This role ensures the delivery of robust, scalable, and secure solutions that support business agility, data fluidity, and digital transformation. The role also drives DevOps maturity within the Enterprise applications scope.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Take system ownership of the applications / platforms in this area
    • Optimise business performance by enhancing the alignment between business processes and Commercial Enterprise systems, in conjunction with business process owners.
    • Ensure all systems under responsibility comply with IT General Controls. Key responsibility is to strengthen controls and ensure periodic audit activities are undertaken.
    • Work with the process owners in business to drive the design of the overall enterprise data and process structure and develop Commercial solutions and roadmaps to align this. Gain consensus on new process concepts and build coalitions to move process improvement forward.
    • Undertake complex process analysis, design and proposal creation, which includes technical process problem solving in relation to the current, as well as the future business environment.
    • Provide coaching and advise on the future use of technology and business process improvements in the area of responsibility.
    • Manage day-to-day operations of platforms ensuring availability, security, and performance
    • Work closely with process owners and key users to understand business requirements and drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions
    • Perform functional analysis, requirements definition, configuration and testing, in conjunction with third party configuration teams.
    • Conduct prototypes, develop functional specifications, data mapping, function mapping, setting of configuration tables and setting of transaction/control tables in partnership with third part development teams
    • Understand the business processes and flows to enable the analysis of business requirements and the development of solutions for the Commercial Enterprise systems.
    • Assist in security/authorisation setup, user documentation, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation for the systems under responsibility.
    • Own the solution architecture, application plans and roadmap for Commercial Enterprise systems and acts as the design authority across the group
    • Lead and supervise development of solutions across projects
    • Drive the adoption of best practice and enforce the use of standard systems.
    • Keep up to date with technology trends and developments and use proof of concepts (POC's) to trial new technologies where appropriate.
    • Act as the key specialist point of contact for application management services (AMS) service providers in problem solving and investigations related to incidents
    • Define and maintain technical standards, design patterns, and reusable assets
    • Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of enterprise solutions across Azure, .NET, SQL, SAP BTP, Power Platform, and content management ecosystems.
    • Act as design authority, ensuring all technical solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and long-term technology roadmaps.
    • Guide development teams and business stakeholders through the solution lifecycle, from conceptual design and prototype development to implementation and operational handover.
    • Engage across business domains to translate requirements into robust architectural blueprints and integration patterns that support enterprise process automation and enterprise application goals.
    • Champion modern engineering practices, reusable component design, automation, and cloud-native patterns to improve delivery speed and system reliability.

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
    • A postgraduate qualification (Master’s degree) in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent will be advantageous

    EXPERIENCE

    • Operations: Experience in developing and system standards
    • Commercial: Experience with managing Service Providers and qualifying designs and development proposals.
    • Management: Manage internal project stakeholders requiring integration services as well as contractors engaged on delivery.
    • Compliance: Ensure that designs and delivery of projects are fully compliant to IT controls.
    • Deep understanding of system architecture, deployment, and configuration

    Mine Reconciliation Engineer Kolomela

    Job Description:

    As our Mine Reconciliation Engineer (Kolomela) of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    Consistently apply safety and health principles in all site interactions within and beyond the site Supervisor's work area.

    • Identify specific risks within the working area and adhere to discipline-specific plans/systems to avoid these risks.
    • Ensure mining plans and designs adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards and propose measures to mitigate potential risks.
    • Active participation in VFLs, Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.

    Performance and Delivery

    Value Chain Reconciliation:

    • Maximize the efficiency of data operations with seamless coordination of all data collection, analysis, and reporting.

    Mine to plan Compliance:

    • Measure spatial compliance monthly to plan compliance efforts effectively.
    • Prepare a monthly compliance report to assess adherence to the plan.
    • Take immediate action to address any deviations from the compliance plan.
    • Ensure compliance meets regulations and creates a safer and more sustainable environment for employees and the surrounding community.

    Plan to plan compliance:

    • Measure spatial and volumetric plans using appropriate tools and techniques such as laser measurement devices, 3D scanners, or BIM software.
    • Report monthly plan-to-plan compliance results, compile all relevant data, and create a clear and concise report highlighting any non-compliance areas and providing suggestions for improvement.
    • Address compliance deviations, investigate the root cause of the deviation, propose corrective actions, and communicate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the issue is resolved promptly and effectively.

    This role is in the Technical & Integrated Planning (T&IP) NC discipline at a 6.10 (D1) level reporting to Section Manager MT Planning

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant National Diploma (NQF6)
    • Relevant Technical Degree or BTech Engineering (NQF7) Advantageous
    • SA Drivers Licence

    Technical Knowledge

    • 3-5 Years of operational experience in open-cast mining and related operations.
    • Specialized knowledge in Mining Engineering, including mineral extraction, mine design, and geotechnical engineering.
    • Familiarity with relevant legislation, such as MHSA, to ensure compliance and safety within the mining environment.
    • Proficiency in project management, planning/scheduling, and understanding of the unique challenges faced in mining.
    • Ability to apply the mine planning cycle, including exploration, design, construction, and operations.
    • Understanding of financial metrics, budgeting tools, and cost analysis.
    • Knowledge of risk management techniques and critical controls, including hazard identification and mitigation strategies.
    • Awareness of safety, health, and environmental requirements and compliance standards.
    • Proficiency in mine scheduling software, such as Surpac, Xecure, and MicroStation, for effective mine planning and scheduling.
