What you’ll do

• Pandrtner with the ECD to define and drive Capitec’s creative direction
• Own a evolve our visual identity and design systems
• Lead and inspire a high-performing design team to create world-class work
• Foster a culture of curiosity, creativity and constant growth
• Champion creative excellence and push boundaries with every brief
• Collaborate across copy, product, CX, UX and marketing to deliver integrated, insight-led solutions
• Stay ahead of design trends and guide the team in experimenting, learning and staying future fit

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years in brand, graphic, or visual design, with at least 8 years in a leadership role
• A portfolio that reflects strong conceptual thinking and refined craft across brand and digital
• Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing design teams
• Motion graphics and animation experience
• Deep understanding of design systems, brand building and creative operations
• Fluency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and a love for innovation
• Leadership qualities that energise teams and elevate the work
