    Key Account Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • The Key Account Manager will lead the set up and penetration of the Coty Brands in game changer key accounts. Develop and oversee the brands retail sales and ship to trade targets.  Implement excellent user experience and customer journeys in bricks and mortar and online. Manage end-to-end relationship and performance for allocated key account partners.

    Your main areas of responsibility will include the following:

    The day-to-day:

    • An expert on the retailers’ account by building a formidable relationship to drive agreed business growth and turnover. 
    • Scope out opportunities for growth and key initiatives to leverage category growth and market share within key accounts.
    • Innovate and activate key launches, campaigns and collaborations with marketing for impactful brand presence leading to business. 
    • Ensure right presence on brands across top sku’s to ensure discoverability, build customer experience through forward share and online brand pages
    • Support scoping future partners in terms of development potential, profitability, sales revenues and develop and implement the necessary plans of action. 
    • Build a sustainable relationship with existing accounts. Answering day to day client enquiries in a timely and professional manner. 
    • Analyse the results of the sales in depth to jointly develop new ways to optimize the performance of the accounts 
    • Gather cross-functional inputs, in order to determine company-wide opportunity values. 
    • Support the development of omni-channel strategies. 

    Key responsibilities

    Responsibilities vary but may include a combination of:

    • Business delivery of turnover and market share as agreed.
    • Onsite presence for top SKUs - availability and right presence.
    • Innovate and animate key launches through marketing.
    • Retailer media negotiation and implementation.

    YOU ARE A COTY FIT 

    You have a passion for beauty! As a Key Account Manager, you will develop multi-tasking skills and get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you:

    • Have more than 5 years of solid sales and business development experience with a minimum of 3 years in key account management of major retailers. (Marketing experience may be considered).
    • Have a degree or diploma in marketing or similar tertiary education.
    • Have proven ability to drive retail success of a brand/product.
    • Good interpersonal skills to build a solid relationship with the retail buyers and planners and other stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of FMCG, FMCG marketing specifically would be preferred.
    • Strategic thinking, creativity and innovation
    • Strong business and financial acumen. Has successfully delivered on KPIs, especially top and bottom-line business results
    • Analytical skills with strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions
    • Proactive, flexible and adaptable to rapid change
    • Hands-on mentality, not afraid to tackle administrative tasks to develop accounts
    • Strong eye for detail
    • Willingness to learn Able to lead self and others, with strong interpersonal skills, EQ, coaching and teamwork abilities
    • Manages stress and can work on multiple complex projects simultaneously
    • Ability to work independently and employs sound judgement in decision making
    • Full proficiency in English language. Confident in both written and spoken communication with the ability to present and influence at all levels
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills (formulas and pivot tables)

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • As a Visual Merchandising Manager, you will execute in-store visual merchandising strategies and ensure brand consistency across retail environments. This role focuses on assisting with on-shelf executions, in-store animations, and promotional builds while maintaining high standards of visual presentation.

    Your main areas of responsibility will include the following:

    Visual Merchandising Execution

    • Implementing visual merchandising (VM) strategies for South Africa across multiple Colour brands.
    • Creation of brand plans and retailer-specific solutions.

    Budget Assistance

    • Track VM budgets and monitor expenses.
    • Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive quotes.

    Project Coordination

    • Installation of merchandising materials and ensure timely execution.
    • Prepare reports on implementation and share insights with the team.

    Brand Innovation

    • Preparation of presentations, planograms, and trend reports.
    • Develop retailer-specific proposals and display solutions.

    Inventory & Forecasting

    • Manage inventory levels of non-saleable items and maintain accurate records.

    Sales & Store Support

    • Collect documentation for store openings and installations.
    • Maintenance of visual merchandising units.

    Trade Marketing

    • Support in-store marketing executions and ensure compliance with global standards.
    • Assist in briefing suppliers for activations and promotional displays.

    Competitor & Market Insights

    • Participate in store visits and share observations on trends and competitor activity.

    Supplier Coordination

    • Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure quality standards are met.

    YOU ARE A COTY FIT 

    You have a passion for beauty! As a Junior Visual Merchandising Manager, you will develop multi-tasking skills and get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you have:

    • Relevant diploma or degree in Marketing, Design, or related field.
    • 6+ years’ experience in visual merchandising or retail marketing.
    • Understanding of retail trends and customer preferences.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Creative mindset with an eye for design.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Are able travel locally for store visits and installations.
