    Office Administrator

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an office environment
    • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans & English (written and spoken)

    Restaurant Manager

    Purpose of the Role: 

    • To oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of service, quality control, staff management, and customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

    Operations & Administration:

    • Prepare weekly shift rosters and manage restaurant cash-ups
    • Oversee service quality, ambiance, and overall customer experience
    • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and conduct inventory counts
    • Ensure property maintenance and report issues promptly
    • Respond promptly to emails from directors, clients, and suppliers

    Customer Service & Quality Control:

    Diesel Mechanic (Grabouw)

    The ideal candidate should have at least the following:

    • Mechanical trade test certificate as a Diesel Mechanic
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in a mechanical workshop
    • Willing to work shifts and overtime
    • Sound technical knowledge of trucks, forklifts and other diesel vehicles
    •  Valid Driver’s license (Code EC with a valid PDP or Forklift license will be an advantage).
    • Computer literacy

    Electrician (Fruit Packhouse)

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within a fruit packhouse (e.g., sorting lines, conveyor systems, pumps, packing machinery)
    • Troubleshooting electrical faults and implementing corrective actions promptly
    • Conducting preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functioning and minimize downtime (Using an asset management system called Shopware)
    • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals
    • Ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., SANS 10142-1)
    • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory
    • Working effectively with other technical staff and production teams
    • Identifying opportunities for electrical system improvements and energy efficiency
    • Potentially supervising junior electricians or apprentices
    • Availability for on-call duties or extended hours during peak season

    Requirements:

    • Relevant Electrical Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal)
    • Valid Wireman’s License (Three Phase – non-negotiable)
    • Valid Driver’s Licence (Code B/08)
    • PLC experience (e.g., Delta, Schneider, Siemens, Allen-Bradley) – highly beneficial in automated packhouses
    • Experience with VSDs (Variable Speed Drives) and motor control
    • Computer literacy
    • First Aid and Safety training
    • Matric qualification
    • Physically fit and able to work at heights
    • Willingness to work overtime with standby responsibilities

    Senior Packhouse Foreman (Fruit Industry)

    The ideal candidate should have the following: 

    • Tertiary qualification in Operations / Production Management or similar
    • 5+ years in production / packhouse environment, with 2+ years in supervisory role
    • Knowledge of production targets, quality standards, packaging, and machinery
    • Computer literate (Excel), bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
    • People management experience; team player.
    • Knowledge of Food Safety & Safety Regulations
    • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends

    The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

    • Production Planning: Ensure that fruit per packing line is scheduled according to a packing program in order to maintain optimum throughput and limit downtime. Liaise with production planning as needed for a smooth production flow.
    • Production Objectives: Plan, organise and manage employees per packing line to ensure that the planned throughput and goals are met.
    • Quality Management: Maintain a laser focus on sorting fruit, ensuring the correct-quality fruit ends up in the correct grade as per specifications.
    • Personnel Management: Maintain discipline in accordance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act. Please make sure employee morale remains positive, address questions promptly, and help identify training needs.
    • Financial Management: Assist with cost management of the packhouse budget by monitoring expenses against the budget. Assist in compiling production budget plans.
    • Equipment Management: Liaise with the engineering department to provide accurate, timely information on equipment that is not functioning correctly, is at risk of breaking down, or could cause damage.
    • Audit Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment in line with the company’s Safety System. Complete incident investigations, make recommendations to prevent recurrence, and ensure that Packhouse Documentation and working methods comply with the BRCGS Standard

    Vehicle Workshop and Transport Foreman (Grabouw)

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Diesel Mechanic with 5 years post trade test experience
    • 3 - 5 years management experience 
    • Must be computer literate.
    • The position requires willingness to work extended hours.
    • Sound technical knowledge of trucks, forklifts and other diesel vehicles 
    • Must hold a Code 8 driver's license (Code EC with a calid PDP or Forklift license will be preferred)
    • Procurement experience       
    • Medially fit to perform the duties as required 

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Ensure a planned maintenance schedule is always available to minimise defects and breakdowns.
    • Ensure breakdowns are attended to with a matter of urgency. 
    • Monitor to ensure all maintenance is carried out according to procedures and vehicle requirements.
    • Fleet management and implement controls to ensure sufficient spares are available for the efficient maintenance of vehicles.
    • Conduct quality checks on repaired vehicles to ensure service standards are maintained.
    • Demonstrate leadership skills, motivation and conflict resolution. 
    • Ensure smooth transport coordination and effective performance management of subordinates.
    • Ensure sound relations are maintained with internal and external customers.
    • Take necessary precautions to control and safeguard company assets.
    • Ensure that housekeeping is completed on an ongoing basis to keep the workshop clean and safe.
    • Assist the direct manager by providing input into the budgeting process.
    • Monitor costs by analysing cost allocations; identify discrepancies and implement cost saving strategies.

    Fitter and Turner (Fruit Packhouse)

    Key Responsibilities Include: 

    • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Fabricate, assemble, install, maintain, and repair machinery and components.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance.
    • Operate hand and machine tools (lathes, milling machines, grinders, welding).
    • Work with various metals and materials.
    • Collaborate with engineers and tradespeople on projects.
    • Complete job cards, time sheets, and assist with spare parts procurement.
    • Train, guide, and motivate apprentices and junior staff.
    • Maintain a safe, clean workspace and prioritize food safety

    Requirements: 

    • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
    • Fitter and Turner Red Seal Trade Certificate
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified Fitter & Turner in a manufacturing environment, preferably with packhouse experience.
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Basic electrical knowledge, numeracy skills, and ability to operate lathes and milling machines.
    • Supervisory abilities, innovative thinking, and capacity to train and lead others.
    • Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and working at heights or in confined spaces.
    • Familiarity with company processes and systems, including BRC, safety systems, and SOPs.
