    MEA Financial Controller

    You will be Partners with the MEA and Israel segment CFOs / finance leaders and the relevant segment Leadership teams to ensure integrity of all financial reporting and to drive an effective Internal Control environment.

    It starts with YOU. 

    In this role, you will:

    • Ensure the integrity of Financial Reporting for the MEA and Israel region
    • Partner with the segment MDs / GMs and CFO / finance leads and other segment functional leaders to drive the Business in a controlled and compliant manner
    • Work with GBS teams to optimize financial reporting processes and generate value
    • Take responsibility for the end-to-end Statutory Reporting and Audit process, Period close and Quarter close, Group and local audits (as applicable), SOX and MCV testing for countries in Europe and Israel, partnering closely with the accountants in the various countries through our GBS organization
    • Lead and drive the agenda in cross functional processes like TEC, CCSC etc
    • Work with Global Controls team to implement global control and process initiatives
    • Provide expert advice guidance and counselling to MEA and Israel CFO org to ensure integrity of financial reporting
    • Indirectly supervise 14 individuals and take overall responsibility for all transactional reporting

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Chartered Accountant or equivalent or Degree level plus professionally recognized accounting qualification
    • 10-12+ years of accounting experience of working in an innovative and highly agile environment for a global multinational
    • Experience in big four audit firms and in large fast moving consumer goods organizations - essential
    • Good understanding and preferably hands on experience in the commercial aspect of the business particularly dealing with large retailers
    • Exceptional ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence outcomes with Senior Leaders and diverse teams including business stakeholders
    • Experience in achieving results through indirect teams - You will drive our global business services organization to improve its delivery of results reporting, processes and controls
    • Good understanding of GAAP and IFRS
    • Ability to influence and drive change at a senior level

    HR Graduate Intern

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Graduate to join our Human Resources team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of HR functions and contribute to initiatives that shape our workplace culture and employee experience.

    In this role, you will be:

    • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience for new hires and exiting employees.
    • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality through the ticketing system.
    • Assist in the preparation and delivery of HR reports and analytics and support with legislative reporting i.e. Employment Equity, BBBEE, Top Employer, etc.
    • Coordinate and support employee training and development programs for SSA Commercial and Functions teams.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
    • Support employee engagement initiatives such as wellness programs, surveys, and team-building events.
    • Assist in performance management processes.
    • Help manage internal communications related to HR updates, events, and policy changes.
    • Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and support related reporting and awareness campaigns.
    • Provide administrative support for disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies.
    • Stay up to date with HR trends, labor legislation, and best practices to support continuous improvement.

    To succeed in this role, you will need the following requirements: 

    • Education: Recent graduate or final-year student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling data and documentation.
    • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.
    • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
    • Initiative: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
    • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
