    Responsibilities

    • Taking direction from our Photography Lead , you’ll spend the bulk of your time vetting, editing and uploading product photographs to our website and content platforms and maintaining our photographic archives. Practically, this looks like:
    • Retouching, deep-etching and cropping product images — to Yuppiechef’s high quality standards and delivered on deadline 
    • Uploading large volumes of new product images with speed and accuracy 
    • From time to time creating, optimising and uploading product images for custom landing pages 
    • Ensuring our digital photography archive is up to date and organised according to strict conventions

    Who you’ll be working with:

    •  You will be working alongside other in-house photography team members and working in close collaboration with the broader creative team (including Design and Copy sections) and Merchandising team (Buying & Planning). We style, photograph and edit large amounts of products in-house, by grafting hard, collaborating, communicating openly and constantly, moving on ideas fairly quickly, and hitting deadlines. At times it comes with pressure, but we love what we do and have a lot of fun while doing it. We’re also into things like pets, coffee, series and cake (basically any and all baked goods).

    Qualifications
    Experience: 

    • Required: 6-12 months editing photographs, in a time-pressured environment 
    • Advantageous: 1-2 years editing photographs in a professional studio setting or working in a similar role for an e-commerce retailer 

    Qualifications: 

    • Required: A solid portfolio and that demonstrates what your skill levels is 
    • A tertiary qualification or accreditation in photography, design or arts 

    Skills: 

    Technical skills: 

    • Solid skills in editing and manipulating images in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom

    • Yuppiechef is looking for a detail-oriented and creative Junior Photographer to join our in-house Creative Team. You’ll help bring products to life through sharp, consistent, and inspiring imagery that elevates the online shopping experience. You’ll also gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of creative work — from still life shoots to campaign sets and short-form video — while building your craft in a collaborative environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Capturing sharp, colour-accurate, and on-brand product images at high volumes. 
    • Retouching, editing and uploading supplier and in-house imagery to meet Yuppiechef standards. 
    • Building independence in shooting efficiently and consistently. 
    • Scanning, prepping, and returning all studio samples correctly, while assisting with the organisation of samples in collaboration with the Studio and Merchandising teams.
