    Industrial Engineer (Northern Suburbs (Cape)

    THE ROLE

    • You will be exposed to various aspects of our supply chain, including Shipping, DCs, Transport and Stores. Through this, you will have the opportunity to diagnose problems, identify solutions, propose improvements and execute action plans. The role will have a focus on DC operations, systems and facility infrastructure. 
    • This is a perfect role for somebody who will enjoy being immersed in operations and solve problems that will have a direct and measurable impact on the business. You will work closely with other team members who will provide guidance and support where needed to ensure you successfully deliver on projects

    WHAT’S NEEDED

    • A candidate with a passion for supply chain and a drive to improve processes. A self-starter that takes ownership of their work and is ready to make an impact in the business. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Development of business cases 
    • Leading supply chain projects
    • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives
    • Mapping and development of supply chain processes
    • Provide systems support and training
    • Develop business processes to enable optimal business and system integration
    • Liaise with various role players and departments to provide supply chain support

    Requirements

    • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering
    • 2-5years’ experience as an Industrial Engineer, preferably in a warehouse environment
    • Project Management experience will be an advantage
    • Retail knowledge and exposure will be an advantage
    • Experience in Lean or Six Sigma methodology will be an advantage
    • Advanced level of computer skills, especially MS Excel or Google Sheets
    • Willingness to travel

    Finance Clerk: Imports (Western Cape)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

    • To administer payments related to imported goods to ensure that final unit costs and gross profits are calculated correctly and perform supplier and control account reconciliations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Reconciliation of creditors and/or suspense accounts
    • Processing financial Import claims/penalties
    • Open account (TT) and LC payments
    • Invoice capturing
    • Arranging payments to service providers
    • Completing of Costings
    • Maintaining of supplier documentation
    • General administration duties

    Requirements
    JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS 

    • Grade 12 (with Accounting)
    • An Accounting or Finance diploma (or degree) will be an advantage
    • Prior relevant work experience will be an advantage (e.g. in a Finance team)
    • Computer Literacy (MS Office) 
    • Aptitude to work with figures        
    • Competencies required: Good problem solving skills; Detail Orientation; Confidence and decisiveness; Planning, organising and control; Communication; Stress tolerance and able to work in a team as well as independently

    Team Leader: Imports (Western Cape)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

    • To manage the productivity and quality of  bank, suspense and clearing reconciliations. Analysing standard cost variances and other reporting functions.  In addition, provides foreign exchange treasury support.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Operational Result Management
    • Foreign exchange (forex) treasury support
    • Royalty Reporting
    • Fosters relationships with all stakeholders
    • Team Management
    • Leadership
    • Recommended and facilitated implementation of system and process enhancements
    • Ad Hoc tasks
    • Requirements

    JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS 

    • Tertiary Qualification (i.e. Certificate, Diploma or Degree) in accounting
    • 2-3 years experience within a finance department
    •  Knowledge of reconciliation processes
    • Knowledge of financial systems and processes with a view to improve processes and procedures
    • Computer literacy – eg. Google Workspace (Intermediate G-Sheets)
    • Supervisory experience will be an advantage
    • Previous experience dealing with imports would be an advantage
    • Retail experience will be an advantage
    • SAP experience will be an advantage
    • Aptitude to work with figures
    • Competencies required: Devotion to quality, Leadership, Structuring, Listening skills, Providing feedback, Team-building, Stress resistance, Analysing and forming opinions
