    Call Centre Assistant

    Job Description    

    • An exciting opportunity has become available for a Call Centre Assistant within our Customer Services Team on a 6-month fixed term contract basis. Our ideal candidate will be based in our Tekkie Town Support Centre in George. The Call Centre Assistant will form part of the team to ensure that the Tekkie Town Customer Services Team’s standards and all Operations Campaign initiatives are successfully executed across all stores within Tekkie Town.  Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, passionate about servicing our customers and will have the high energy level required for this fast-paced, exciting and dynamic retail environment.

    Qualifications    

    • A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent is an essential requirement

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

    • Basic Computer Skills & Proficiency preferably previous exposure to Word, Excel & Outlook
    • Communication skills (English) written and verbal
    • Xhosa and/or any other African language verbal ability (advantageous)

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Resolve customer & store complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media
    • Use telephones to reach out to customers & stores to verify or attain necessary information
    • Basic administrative duties day to day
    • Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges
    • Work with Customer Services Supervisor to ensure proper customer service and store support are being delivered
    • To file all relevant documentation accurately for easy retrieve electronically and manually
    • To prepare information and data for reporting purposes as and when required

    Brand Co-ordinator

    Job Description    

    • Tekkie Town is seeking to employ a Brand Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of marketing and brand-building activities to strengthen the retail brand's presence and engage target audiences. 
    • This role acts as a crucial link between various marketing functions and departments, ensuring consistent brand messaging, adherence to brand guidelines, and effective implementation of campaigns that drive brand awareness, preference, and customer loyalty.
    • The role is responsible for representing and leading brand building activities across sponsorships, CSI, internal communications and ensuring that the brand experience across all marketing outputs is consistent and builds ongoing brand equity both for internal and external stakeholders.  

    Qualifications    

    • Matric (National Senior Certificate)
    • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

    • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a marketing, brand, or communications support role, preferably within the retail sector or a related agency
    • Experience assisting with campaign coordination and managing marketing materials
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing basics as well as communication and partnership management
    • Foundational understanding of marketing principles and brand management.
    • Basic knowledge of digital marketing channels (social media, email marketing).
    • Familiarity with brand guidelines and their application.
    • Understanding of general marketing campaign processes and timelines.
    • Knowledge of project management basics.
    • Awareness of current retail trends and consumer behaviour in South Africa.
    • Proficiency in Google platforms.
    • Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Canva, basic Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
