Job Advert Summary    

• We are looking for a qualified motor technician to join our team at our Volkswagen Dealership in Hermanus, Western Cape. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing vehicles and vehicle systems in Volkwagen's range.

Minimum Requirements    

• Min Grade 12
• Unendorsed Drivers Licence
• Computer Literate
• Proof of Qualification as Technician (VW experience advantageous)
• Successful demonstration of competency
• Analytical skills and problem-solving ability
• Attention to detail and time management skills
• Solid knowledge of fault finding and diagnostic machines
• Excellent customer orientation
• Clear criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Conducting work preparation and fault diagnosis
• Perform repairs and maintenance of vehicles
• Conduct final inspections and functional tests
• Prepare relevant reports for vehicle hand-over
• Ensure quality standards are met in order to achieve the Standards of Excellence

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Plan and optimise routes to maximize efficiency and minimise travel time.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of parts distribution
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer enquiries or concerns.
• Ensure accurate vehicle lisencing and registrations are processed with the traffic service department.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Act as a representative of the company, promoting its products and services during customer interactions.
• Provide feedback to the sales team about customer preferences or issues encountered in the field.
• Efficiently manage time to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
