    Customer Service Support Centre - S2

    The role

    • The purpose of this role is to actively promote and sell parts, tools, and service to support customers in alignment with their needs in an efficient manner.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Actively promote, sell parts and services to support customers with their needs
    • Identify and follow up on sales opportunities to convert quotations to orders in-line with customer needs
    • Process customer orders timely, expedite, and follow through until the order is delivered.
    • Maintain a high level of proactive call availability and follow-up activity to produce a high level of output to reach sales targets
    • Resolve system and/or order issues as and when picked up to support customers in planning production and maintenance activities
    • Report and escalate customer critical orders/inquiries to the Logistics and/or Technical Solutions teams and keep the customer informed of progress on such escalated orders and/or inquiries.
    • Generate and disseminate relevant reports to specific stakeholders (e.g. back-order report etc.)
    • Conduct cold calling to acquire new customers

    Profile Required

    • Matric/equivalent qualification
    • Relevant post Matric qualification is advantageous
    • Sales experience in a mining environment is advantageous
    • 3 -5 years’ experience in the customer call centre in a fast-paced sales environment
    • Knowledge of the processes, tools, and techniques for selling goods and services over electronic channels
    • Ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks under tight time constraints
    • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders in writing and/or verbally
    • High level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity
    • Ability to analyse data and provide insights
    • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
    • English proficiency

    Service Operational Support Manager - P4

    About the role 

    • As a Service Operational Support Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across our service organizations in Africa.  You will be part of the Parts & Services Service Operations Management team and will report directly to the VP Service Operations. 

     Your mission is to ensure our service operations are efficient, cost-effective, and exceed customer expectations. You will:

    • Champion continuous improvement, lean practices, and standardization across service operations.
    • Support Service Digital Transformation
    • Support implementation and execution of global standards, processes and systems
    • Provide inputs and supports for Real Estate team
    • Partner with Service Excellence Team to ensure seamless execution of processes, standards and improvement plans, for workshops and Field services
    • Partner with CSM and Portfolio Managers to ensure seamless execution and introduction of contracts and products.
    • Ensure compliance with Sandvik’s EHS policies and standards.
    • Provide strategic input to Business Line Managers, CSMs, Portfolio managers, Service Excellence and Digital Transformation Teams on service requirements, offerings and technical support capabilities.
    • Support Business Performance Manager and monitor service contracts in the respective Sales Areas to ensure performance meets or exceeds contractual obligations and cost targets.
    • Support service workshops in the respective Sales Areas operations, ensuring optimal cost, utilization, quality, and cycle times.
    • Support field service execution and performance management in the respective Sales Areas.
    • Drive KPIs including workshop efficiency, service utilization, order intake vs. forecast, WIP aging, and service profitability.

    Your Profile 

    We are looking for a results-driven and experienced leader with a strong background in service operations and heavy engineering. The ideal candidate will have:

    • At least 5 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
    • A background in Engineering or Business Administration (minimum 5 years preferred).
    • Proven experience managing heavy engineering workshop facilities.
    • Exposure to mobile mining equipment in workshop and field service environments.
    • Strong knowledge of service contract management and performance metrics.
    • Qualifications or experience in Six Sigma or similar productivity improvement programs.
    • A passion for continuous improvement, workforce development, and operational excellence.
    • A commitment to EHS standards and a track record of supporting workforce retention and competence development.

    Sales Manager - M3

    The Role

    • The Sales Manager, is responsible to develop, implement and deliver strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, increase market share, forge strategic relationships, promote Sandvik brand awareness and responsible for a positive customer experience. By identifying new business opportunities and customer relationships, the Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving sales growth for capital equipment.
    • Duties will include but are not limited to, responding to queries from clients and resolving problems to ensure the customer can focus on their core activities. Additional focus points will be the setting of area-specific goals for each strategic customer to promote a personalized service and proactive selling by tracking clients individually.
    • Overall, the Sales Manager is instrumental in driving business growth, building strategic relationships and in positioning SANDVIK as the preferred choice for equipment and service.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and expand market share.
    • Create business development plans and targets for the product range in collaboration with the BLM and the global Portfolio Managers (this will include the introduction of new products into the market).
    • Develop and implement plans and actions in accordance with global and regional initiatives and guidelines.
    • Manage forecasted sales on budget, meeting gross profit targets.
    • Provide training and education on the product range, assisting with the compilation of tender documentation, pricing strategies, and the supply of marketing material to support sales efforts.
    • Visit key customers directly or in conjunction with the sales and service teams to provide in-depth product knowledge (this will include development of direct customer relationships with key clients and to help the team to trouble shoot technical problems).
    • Develop and organize commercial product training for sales and service personnel for the respective products.
    • Drive sales growth through effective prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management.
    • Assess the account's total potential with MECU products & services and develop future market potential for MECU business with the account.
    • Develop and implement local account business plans to secure current and new business within defined sales areas and responsibilities.
    • Ensure the relevant activities (sales) are executed to increase revenue and efficiencies for equipment, workshops, and customer service.
    • Collaborate with the engineering and product line teams to tailor solutions that meet customer requirements and address industry challenges.
    • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to track performance metrics and assess sales effectiveness.
    • Financial and budgetary reviews, reports and forecasting.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and business development strategies aligned with division objectives and market trends. Identifying growth opportunities, market segments, and potential clients to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
    • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams, to align sales, services, workshops and business development efforts.
    • Initiate marketing campaigns with existing and new products to drive sales growth, create customer awareness and regain business on existing portfolios.

    Minimum Skills and Qualifications

    • Matric (Grade 12) / N3 Technical Qualification/equivalent qualification
    • National Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Business Management (NQF 6)

    Compliance Officer

    Requirement Overview

    • Sandvik Mining Business Area in Southern Africa is currently looking to employ a Compliance Officer. The successful incumbent will act as the Compliance Officer supporting Southern, Central and West Africa.
    • Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the incumbent must be a dynamic and committed. This role is critical in ensuring our business adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while fostering a culture of integrity and ethical conduct.
    • You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing hands-on compliance support, conducting risk assessments, and driving awareness initiatives. The ideal candidate is energetic, persistent, and proactive, with a strong business mindset and the ability to translate compliance into practical, value-adding solutions.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities (not exhaustive)

    • Apply and monitor compliance process across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Ensure compliance across a broad spectrum of regulatory requirements including inter alia: Companies Act; ABC applicable legislation; Competition Law; Data Privacy; King Code of Corporate Governance.  
    • Identify and assess compliance risk areas periodically and appropriately address findings through relevant and appropriate action plans processes.
    • Advise on all compliance and regulatory matters that affect business decisions.
    • Develop, promote, implement and maintain compliance standards and procedures that enable employees and the business to act in a compliant manner.
    • Assist with the proper establishment and maintenance of procedures on the identification, reporting and resolution of breaches and other compliance and regulatory issues.

    Educational Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 - 7 years' post articles and relevant in-house corporate experience.
