We are seeking a dedicated HR Consultant to join our team, focusing on essential human resources functions that support our organisational goals. You will play a key role in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and ensuring compliance with HR policies, fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process
Conduct employee onboarding and orientation to integrate new hires smoothly into the company culture
Implement HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with relevant legislation
Serve as a point of contact for employee queries, addressing concerns related to policies, benefits and workplace issues
Drive performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance reviews and development plans
Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary hearings, grievances and dispute resolution, ensuring fair and consistent application of policy
Represent the company at the CCMA where required
Act as a strategic HR business partner to line managers and department heads
Assist in the development and execution of training programs aimed at employee growth and development
Analyse employee performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement initiatives
Facilitate employee engagement activities and promote a positive organisational culture
Support the payroll team with benefits administration, ensuring accurate processing and compliance with relevant regulations
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualifications & Experience
A relevant degree in Human Resources or related field
Demonstrable experience in a human resources role, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and performance management
Proven experience representing an organisation at the CCMA, with sound knowledge of conciliation and arbitration processes
Strong understanding of South African labour laws (including the LRA and BCEA) and HR best practices
Experience in an HR business partnering capacity, with the ability to advise and influence line managers on people-related decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
Proven track record in conflict resolution and problem-solving within a workplace setting
A passion for wildlife and a commitment to sustainability and conservation.
