About the job
Our PwC Service Delivery Centre has an opportunity available for a Financial Specialist (IFRS) with SAICA Articles completed who will be responsible for rendering audit support services. The main duty will include the performance of financial statement disclosure checklists on behalf of the audit teams. Other responsibilities may include the assistance in Financial Statement Quality Checks.
Requirements:
SAICA articles completed
OR
Qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA).
Remote work is available as an option for this role on condition that you are in an area that has good network / connectivity. Laptop and 3G will be provided
Post article working experience will be advantageous.
The role requires an individual with the following competencies:
Strong sense of responsibility
Willingness to learn
Computer literate - Good knowledge of Excel
Accurate and organised, with strong attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work under pressure
Very deadline driven
Fluent in English
Responsibilities:
Performing financial statement disclosure checklists.
This includes financial statements prepared using IFRS, IFRS for SMEs and other relevant reporting frameworks.
Assisting with Financial Statement Quality Checks (FSQCs) on financial statements may also be required from time to time.
FSQCs include for example:
Agreeing comparative figures to prior year financial statements
Checking mathematical accuracy
Checking internal consistency i.e. between the face of the statements and the notes thereto; page references; note references
Sequence checks i.e. page numbers; note numbers
Agreeing current year figures to supporting documentation
Checking changes across multiple drafts.
This is a remote position, however function is managed out of Bloemfontein.

Requirements:
B.Degree or Diploma in Art Direction/Design
3 years’ proven digital design experience and video editing
Experience in animation would be highly advantageous
Working experience on Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier
Design portfolio with digital elements essential, which illustrates:
Conceptual abilities and ideas
a keen eye for typography, colour, composition, and consistency
an understanding of the importance of on-brand design
Have garnered some Awards Finalists.
an understanding of the importance of on-brand design
Previous award winning work beneficial
2 years’ experience leading a small design team towards success
Experience managing suppliers
Job Responsibilities:
Delivering own creative projects from brief to final execution
Working with design templates
Intelligently interpreting and respond to internal and client briefs
Generating and presenting ideas to team members and clients when required
Implementing and delivering on feedback from senior management and peers
Guiding and developing juniors
Adhering to team processes and standards
Anticipating potential project problems and creating solutions or contingency plans
