We currently have the above existing vacancy reporting to the DEV/OPS Manager to develop systems in an efficient and effective manner to satisfy our operational requirements. The business requires the skill and professional input of an Intermediate Java & PHP developer (C# advantageous) with 3-5 years of experience having exposure to Linux and MySQL who will be reporting to the DEV/OPS Manager or his/her appointee. This position will work closely with Multi-Channel Communication teams, Information Technology groups and Implementation teams to ensure we meet client requirements.
The role of the Intermediate Java & PHP Developer is to take a supporting role in developing new systems or applications that facilitates Variable Data projects for online consumer engagement. The individual must be self-motivated, work to tight deadlines with a flexible approach and stay current with new technologies and best practices. Must be able to respond to a changing environment, grow technically and share knowledge with the team. Has the ability to multi-task. Our employees are expected to be available beyond standard work hours when necessary.
The incumbent will be expected to do the following, but is not limited to:

• Working collaboratively as part of a team
• Offer wider technical support when needed
• MySQL – must be proficient in writing queries and query tuning
• Linux
• Database Design – understanding the principles of database design is essential
• Flexibility to learn new languages where projects require it
• Diagnose and resolve production performance issues
• Maintain and support previously built applications

To be considered for the position you should meet at least the following essential criteria:

• Fluent in English
• IT related Degree/Diploma/Certificate and formal training in related programming language; PHP, SQL, Java, etc. with at least 3-5 years’ experience
• 3-5 years’ database development experience
• Strong analytical ability
• Good interpersonal and communication skill, stress management and capable of multitasking
• Ability to communicate technical solutions

SENIOR C# DEVELOPER
We currently have this vacancy, reporting to the DEV/OPS Manager to develop systems in an efficient and effective manner to satisfy our operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

• As a # Developer, you will have a strong understanding of the C# programming language and experience working with client-server desktop and web applications. In addition, you will also be responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of company's platform technology
• Be part of the development team developing modular new systems aligned and fitting into the backbone of the existing platform.
• Maintenance of existing systems (backend and front-end)
• Upgrading/enhancing existing systems built in C#
• Transfer and implementation of business logic and requirements for clients moving to the latest version of the platform.
• Research and development of new technologies across different systems
• Updating/upgrading existing systems to be compatible with cloud infrastructure and the latest operating systems
• Assisting in handling client queries and operational needs on an ad-hoc basis
• Adhere to predefined coding standards and best practices, documenting code appropriately for maintainability.
• Perform design and code reviews and help maintain code quality, performance and application responsiveness.
• Collaborate with internal clients, managers, business analysts and developers in a team environment.

Requirements:

• IT degree / diploma where the fundamentals of system analysis, development and design were the main focus with at least 5 years’ experience in developing complex systems.
• 5+ years' experience in C#.Net Development
• Skilled in Web Services (XML, WCF, Rest), SQL/Relational Databases, Entity Framework and Back-end architecture.
• Experience in Angular, .Net Core and Asp.Net Core is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ASP.Net, AJAX, SQL Server as well as web development Programming in HTML and SQL
• Experience in developing secure internet-facing applications / services
• Agile & waterfall delivery
• Able to analyse and extract requirements from systems built in different languages
