    GRADUATE (MASTER DATA CONTROLLER) (GREYTOWN)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Master Data Creation (New): Undertake internal Service Level Agreements (SLA) between the various business units, as data owners, and the stewardship services rendered. Action, within the allocated turnaround time, each request for new master data. Adherence to all business rules around data normalization and authorization levels.
    • Master Data Maintenance (Ongoing): Assist with various mass data cleansing projects that would involve correcting inaccurate data, retrieving new data, filling missing data, merging duplicates, and building account hierarchy relationships or Enterprise Relational Diagrams (ERD). Follow the strategy and assist with the backlog and end-user support for the application platforms for data governance, data quality monitoring, and master data management capabilities. Adhere to the protection of personal information (POPI) act related to the collection, storage, usage, and destruction of data subject information. Share data only with authorized staff and capture who the data is shared with, the date shared, and for what purpose. Adhere that lessons learned are shared with management so that they can be documented and embedded into subsequent planning cycles and activities. Assist Business Analysts and IT staff in requirements gathering and reviews.
    • Master Data Retirement (Dormant): Assist with report generation for data owners/custodians to effectively manage existing retention rules and retention criteria (deletion of redundant data). Undertake data cleaning projects to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data.
    •  User Training and Data Awareness: Follow a “Centre of Excellence” approach to user training, data assistance, best practice guide, usage upskill, and knowledge sharing with users. Assist with end-user reporting using either BI dashboard, various in-house reports, ERPs, or any other data platform. Assist business users on a digital data transformation journey. Encourage data literacy by ensuring data users fully understand and appreciate data and its functions before use. Business user empowerment leads to the discovery and writing metadata into a centralized and easily searchable data catalog or metadata dictionary, as part of knowledge sharing.
    • General: Undertake all master data Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with good governance policies and practices. Update as and when needed, ensuring to keep business units informed of such changes.

    • Bachelor of Commerce in Finance Diploma

    GRADUATE (IT) (GREYTOWN)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Asset management - BAI09
    • Create a full list of all IT assets in Starke Ayres
    • Documented list, verified by random checks. - IT Operations Manager (Knowledge and usage Azure asset management tools))
    • Create a procedure for issuing IT assets to staff
    • Documented SOP with a method to track which stock is issued to staff.
    • Create a procedure for return of IT assets from staff Documented SoP with supporting documents
    • Operations management - DSS01 25%
    • Assist Network Administrator / IT Operations Manager with first-line checks for network management
    • Assist Network Administrator / IT Operations Manager to diagnose any outages and resolve where possible, Network Administrator to open tickets for any work requested.
    • Participation in network projects
    • Feedback from Operations Manager and Network Administrator.
    • Escalate network outages to 2nd line support
    • Rapid escalation of tickets when outages are outside of the area of responsibility. Working with Network Administrator.
    • Basic management of installed software on end-user computers. Reports from the service desk and feedback from the operations manager and peers.
    • Quarterly review of installed software on end-user computers. Create SOP for Group software installation and schedule review.
    • Service desk - DSS02
    • Manage all operations requests for responsible sites, supporting service requests for other companies.
    • List of tickets and resolutions from the service desk.
    • Ensure tickets are closed within SLA.
    • Report from Service Desk. Use this Jira service desk guide.
    • Keep number of open tickets to below 5 Review with Group IT Operations Manager for assistance with tickets. Jira report and stat will be used.
    • Keep number of pending tickets to below 3
    • Advise Group IT Operations Manager on any long-term tickets that need to be moved to projects.
    • Review with Group IT Operations Manager for assistance with tickets. Jira report and stats will be used.
    • Additional duties or Responsibilities
    • Project work as requested by IT Manager / OPS Manager
    • Completed as per SmartSheet projects. Any ADHOC work can be be listed on SmartSheets
