    Senior SAP FICO Specialist

    OBJECTIVES:

    • The Snr SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) Specialist will be responsible for the successful implementation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP FICO solutions. This role requires deep technical knowledge of SAP FICO, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to optimize financial processes.
    • The FICO Specialist plays a pivotal role in the Information Systems organization, working closely with business decision makers and end users to analyse information and document business requirements and map to SAP business processes.
    • The FICO Specialist supports change management activities related to projects, upgrades, and enhancements, communicating changes and benefits to stakeholders to promote adoption and ensure minimal disruption to operations.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 8+ years’ expert knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA Finance, 3+ years knowledge of Controlling, Fiori apps and at least 3 full cycle implementations
    • strong understanding of integration between SAP FICO and other SAP modules, particularly, MM, EAM (PM), PS  
    • lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP FI and CO modules to meet business requirements and improve financial processes.
    • configure and maintain SAP FICO system settings, including banking, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, and internal/external reporting.
    • Provide expert-level support for SAP FICO issues, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and system upgrades.
    • Develop and execute test plans to ensure system changes are thoroughly validated and meet quality standards.
    • strong experience in hybrid model of both projects and support environment
    • exposure to COUPA and understanding of integration with S/4 HANA  
    • knowledge of IT Service Management principles and frameworks (ITIL)

    SAP ABAP & Workflow Developer

    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

    • Responsible for gathering technical requirements and the subsequent design and development of technical specification documents.
    • Provide technical solutions to support business/functional process improvement within S4Hana Modules.
    • Collaborate with project and support teams.
    • Collaborate effectively with key subject matter experts to resolve issues around the business processes
    • Support SAP functional team in developing proof of concepts to showcase functional solutions to the key business partners and subject matter experts
    • Design, code, unit test and implement S4Hana solutions using current best practices
    • Provide user support and training of subject matter experts on new functionality
    • Document requirements, business process maps, project plans and training materials from technical perspective

    Qualifications

    Experience

    • 8+ years’ expert knowledge of ABAP
    • 4+ years’ knowledge of Fiori UI5, Integration and Cloud Technologies
    • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Experience with ABAP OO
    • Experience with SAP modules such as FI, CO, PS, SD, MM, PM
    • Integration experience using IDOCs, SOAP, RESTful APIs
    • Experience with ODATA and CDS development
    • Knowledge of BTP, including CPI
    • Knowledge of SAP AIF
    • Understanding of SAP security including SAP GRC
    • Familiar with workflow design, implementation, and troubleshooting
    • Experience delivering SAP upgrades: SPAU and SPDD
    • Detail oriented and able to work both independently as well as collaborate with functional and business users.

    Operations - Coal

    PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Deal entry validation:

    • Validate deal capture accuracy against business confirmation or signed contract. 
    • Check and monitor deal amendments and cancellations, assess resulting impact.
    • Execute daily and/or periodic accuracy checks on operational data.
    • Monitor daily transactions against established Delegation of Authority and risk limits.
    • Monitor adherence and escalation, identify and report exceptions to relevant teams.
    • Actively engage with the Baar Middle Office on matters relating to deal validation, operational data analysis and/or reporting.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • NQF Level 7 Qualification in Business Administration or relevant field.

    WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Experience in Middle Office area in commodity trading or financial industry is a plus. 
    • Advanced English language ability, both written and spoken.
    • Detail-oriented, diligent, and dependable, with strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
    • Team player, willing to learn and interact with various teams on related topics. 
    • Able to use discretion to timely escalate issues for effective resolution.
    • Adaptable, pro-active, and organized with a positive attitude.
    • Good knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel.

    Energy Operations Analyst

    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

    • Confirmations – Checking Broker Recaps for Swaps/Options.
    • Broker Commissions – Verifying and paying Broker Invoices for OTC Swaps/Options and Exchange Traded Futures.
    • Bilateral Confirmations – Issuing and checking counterparty confirmations either electronically via E-confirm or Paper Confirmations.
    • Settlements – Issuing/Paying Settlement invoices for Bilateral Counterparties.
    • Internal Checks – Check Internal Futures and Swaps with Singapore/US.
    • BFOET Partials – Issuing and checking Incoming Confirmations.
    • EOM costs allocations – IM and Costs allocations to the desk.

    • Trade experience advantageous.
    • Account reconciliation experience advantageous.
    • Awareness of market and industry trends.
    • Coding skills in VBA, Python advantageous.
    • Computer literate MS Office. Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills.
