    Graduate Business Controller

    Position Description

    The main purpose of the job a support function, you will learn to manage different activities in the Business Control and Customs Compliance area within GTO Transport Operations. The position is based in Durban at the Production Logistics (X Dock). The successful candidate will have exposure to various functions within the Business Control and Customs Compliance.

    Reporting: This position will report to Director: Transport Operations.

    Job Objectives:

    • To support with Management cost control.
    • To support with monthly Financial Reporting i.e.
    • Journal posting and review on SAP accounting system.
    • Reporting financial results on Company’s reporting system (VGCS system).
    • Detailed financial analyses vs Planned/Budget.
    • Preparing and presenting results to Business Control Global Team.
    • To support with preparing financial forecast and budget.
    • To support with equipment investment management.
    • To support with management accounting tools to visualize results and data.
    • To support with other Finance related tasks.
    • To support with cost reports and analyses the cost for accuracy and completeness.
    • To support work with Cash Flow, both actuals and forecasted to present and visualize this in tools like Power Bi, AI, Robot analytics etc.
    • This role also requires you to participate in many areas, but main focus will be Central Business Controlling.
    • Participate in projects to drive progress.
    • Liase with other Finance colleagues for decision making, analysis, reporting and consolidation.

    Qualification:

    WPO Coordinator

    Position Description

    The main purpose of the role is to ensure the day-to-day operations of Workplace organization, driving of Continuous improvements culture, support Production Manager, Production Leaders, and Operations teams on maintaining a robust WPO standards.

    Reporting: This position reports to the Production Manager.

    Job Objectives:

    • Deliver sustainable WPO (Work-Place Organization) culture.
    • Plan, organize and control WPO activities across all mainline stations, pre-assemblies, and logistics.
    • Coordinate, Maintain, control, and sustain Continuous Improvement Culture.
    • Create and drive a sustainable 5S culture.
    • Coaching and development for cross-functional Teams on WPO methodology and Lean principles.
    • Identifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction.
    • Support Production Leaders maintain high WPO standards, on day-to-day basis.
    • Plan, facilitating, and executing WPO activities using WPO methodology
    • Teaching, leading, and coaching cross-functional teams on WPO tools and methodology
    • Continuously assessments and improve processes on the production line, pre-assemblies, and logistics
    • Coordinate and participate in WPO action meetings.
    • Ability to work independently.

    Qualification & Job Experience:

    • National Diploma in Industrial Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
    • At least 3-5 years' relevant manufacturing experience.
    • Automotive background is an added advantage.
    • Lean Manufacturing training will be an added advantage.

    Buyer

    Position Description

    The main purpose of the role is to provides operational procurement services to site/ country based stakeholders, and support global and regional sourcing implementations.

    Reporting: This position reports to Head of Purchasing.

    Job Objectives:

    • Perform purchasing according to defined strategies and frameworks  
    • Negotiate local or country agreements up to a regionally defined & agreed upon value.
    • Review purchase requisitions and identify sources of supply for spot buys.  
    • Advise stakeholders on procurement issues, providing support and guidance at all stages of the procurement cycle.
    • Advise stakeholder on modifications from original requests (if alternative, more cost efficient, or otherwise beneficial alternatives exist).  
    • Select contract / supplier to fill requisitions in accordance with defined strategy and agreements.
    • Participate as required in global & regional strategic sourcing projects  
    • Provide local or country market data and information to global and regional strategic sourcing teams.  
    • Validate completeness and relevance of RFI / RFP (in terms of local and country market specifics and local internal requirements).
    • Participate in or conduct the evaluation and selection of suppliers.  
    • Work in close collaboration with strategic buyers, as well as end users, in order to ensure local acceptance and implementation of sourcing strategy.  
    • Actively participate in the validation of the sourcing strategy implementation approach.  
    • Actively participate in the implementation of new contracts (communication, training, etc.).
    • Track key performance indicators on supplier and stakeholder contract compliance; define and take corrective actions to improve contract compliance.
    • Drive local or country strategic sourcing initiatives  
    • Perform local or country strategic sourcing activities.  
    • Perform local or country market analysis, and define appropriate sourcing strategy.  
    • Screen, short list and select potential suppliers through a Request For Information (RFI) and Request For Proposal (RFP) process.
    • Develop negotiation strategy and lead supplier negotiations.  
    • Work with end user and supplier in order to resolve issues.  
    • Continuously track supplier performance according to defined performance targets and metrics.  
    • Initiate and conduct supplier evaluations and supplier audits.

    Qualification & Job Experience:

    • B. Degree or B. Diploma in Purchasing.
    • 2-3 years in an automotive environment would be advantageous.

    Key Competencies:

    • Basic financial knowledge. 
    • Project Management knowledge – advantageous. 
    • Awareness of TCO (Total cost of ownership).
    • Working knowledge of Supply Cain Management and Purchasing procedures.
