    Production Pharmacist (HVL Packaging)

    Key Outputs:

    • Managing Pharmacist Assistants
    • Proper documentation of manufactured and packaged pharmaceutical products.
    • Perform Line Openings and Closures in manufacturing & packing lines.
    • Prepare weekly production scheduling of product.
    • Auditing batch documents for QA closure and release
    • Assist in preparing Annual Product Quality Reviews
    • Initiate and close off CAPAs and Non-Conformances.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance Safety, Health and Environmental Standards.
    • Manufacturing process including line checks.
    • Regulatory & Document Compliance
    • Handling of non-conforming production, both inbound, WIP and produced batches
    • Documenting of Deviations, CAPA’s and Change Control on Caliber 
    • Audits & Continuous Improvement
    • Development of Team’s technical capabilities 
    • Lead / Champion change overs, line opening, line closing, 
    • Lead and be the chief accountable officer for GMP and Micro compliance in the area on shift
    • On line and in line testing resulting in approval of batch documentation and Provisional releases
    • Submission of full production manufacturing tickets and supporting documentation within one hour of batch completions 
    • Ability to identify, execute and prioritize work tasks/projects 
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and team oriented
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities

    Requirements

    • B. Pharm Degree 
    • Registered with South African Pharmacy Council 
    • Preferably 2-3 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical Production in a Manufacturing environment
    • cGMP skills 
    • Computer Literacy – MS Office (proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point)

    Assistant Management Accountant

    Key Outputs

    • Co-ordination of monthly reporting (Operations Financial Reports) to ensure timely submission of information to Management Accountant, site leadership and central finance
    • Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs
    • Setting standard costs of manufactured goods and maintenance of Bill of Materials
    • Developing and analyzing cost standards
    • Preparing budget reports and cost forecasts and analyses against actuals
    • Identifying and recommending cost-effective solutions
    • Assist with the management of internal and external audits
    • Delivery of high quality financial and management reports as required
    • Challenging Plant costs, capital spend, inventory management, yields and site metrics
    • Work with relevant departments to update and or design Bill of Materials (“BOMs”) and Manufacturing routings to calculate standard costs 
    • Maintaining the current BOM’s in the system
    • Identify & coordinate potential project opportunities to meet cost improvement targets
    • Following up on PO issues & action appropriately
    • Ensure regulatory compliance is adhered to
    • Assisting with area cycle counts to improve stock accuracy and investigate issues that may arise to resolve central/shared services to prevent supplier challenges
    • Reviewing vendor documents for completeness etc. before submission
    • Simplify complex multi-level data of analysis into concise and easy to understand reports for management review.
    • Work on cross site initiatives and projects as required
    • Provide Financial Support to site manufacturing operations and other support areas
    • Act in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and ensure adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct

    Requirements

    • B. Com (Accounting) or CIMA
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a cost accounting position in a manufacturing environment
    • At least 2 years’ experience in management accounting position in a manufacturing or engineering environment
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and best practice internal controls
    • Possess excellent data accuracy and analytical skills, be capable of working on own initiative and able to prioritize tasks and work under time constraints
    • Have sound cost accounting knowledge

    Shift Leader

    Key Job Outputs

    • Conduct shift handover and MBU meetings
    • Ensure that the production plan is updated as required
    • Translate targets into outputs
    • Ensure timeous availability of production materials
    • Ensures that the areas and equipment are clean and ready for use as per SOP
    • Ensure that documentation /materials are checked as per SOP
    • Ensure that sign off processes are done before declaration of areas 
    • Authorisation of production documentation
    • Ensure yields are compliant
    • Initiate investigations for non-compliances
    • Audit documents post manufacturing
    • Perform transactions on Oracle
    • Prioritise action on arising shift problems
    • Report deviations to Pharmacist and Production Manager
    • Participate in internal and external quality audits
    • Participate in stock take
    • Monitor downtimes and drive problem solving and corrective actions
    • Ensure daily, weekly shift targets are met
    • Timekeeping of staff
    • Ensure training is completed as per plan
    • Improve and maintain machine availability 
    • Improve productivity
    • Ensure change overs are done timeously (SMED)
    • GMP and regulatory compliance
    • Keep scrap/losses at a minimum
    • Ensure that safety standards are met
    • Provide a safe environment 
    • Take necessary actions to manage production costs and improve profitability
    • Operate within and meet budget requirements
    • Maintains budgeted or better recovery to expense ratio
    • Lead cost saving projects
    • Provide an environment that promotes productivity, empowerment and learning
    • Ensure employees are empowered through MBU
    • Ensure and maintain high levels of performance as per output targets
    • Resolve IR issues

    Requirements

    • Appropriate Degree or Diploma in Production Management/ Industrial Engineering, Operations Management and/or (Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering) or Equivalent 
    • Preferably 3 - 5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment
    • Knowledge of GMP/Pharma QMS 
    • Computer Literacy – MS Office (proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point.
    • Knowledge on PAS and Oracle system
