    GIT Electrical Engineer

    Minimum Qualification / Requirements / Competencies:

    • Grade 12
    • BSC Electrical Engineering Degree
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Willing and fast learner with a self-driven attitude
    • A good theoretical demonstration of Electrical Engineering principles
    • Positive attitude to work in a Process Plant environment
    • Theoretical demonstration of problem-solving skills
    • Knowledge of Electrical and electronic equipment and engineering principles in light to heavy current.

    GIT Process Engineer

    Graduate in Training: Metallurgical/Process Engineer

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:

    • BEng/BSc Degree in Metallurgical Engineering / Chemical Engineering (Essential)
    • Driver’s license (Essential)

    • Managing value adding metallurgical/process related multiple initiatives and projects.

    • Offer post implementation support to projects and operational staff.

    Diesel Mechanic

    Minimum Qualification / Requirements:

    • Grade 12 and relevant N2 certificate
    • Trade Qualification: Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy
    • Earthmoving Equipment (accredited by MERSETA or equivalent).
    • Technical Expertise: Skilled in fault finding, engine overhauls, fuel systems, turbochargers, hydraulics, and general diesel maintenance.
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in industrial, mining, or heavy equipment environments.
    • Leadership Ability: Proven track record supervising a team, mentoring apprentices, and coordinating daily tasks.
    • Documentation & Planning: Able to read technical manuals, complete service reports,
    • and keep accurate records, and support workflow planning.
    • Computer literacy: Basic use of Microsoft Office products and On Key CMMS.
    • Safety & Compliance: Solid knowledge of workplace safety, risk assessments, and PPE requirements.

    Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

    • Supervise and Coordinate: Lead a team of mechanics, allocate tasks, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to standard.
    • Diesel/Mechanical Assembly & Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and components, including trucks, loaders, excavators, and hydraulic systems.
    • Technical Oversight: Interpret schematics and manuals, troubleshoot faults, and ensure precision in diagnostics and repairs.
    • Condition Monitoring: Interpret and action oil analysis reports.
    • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure
    • PPE usage and hazard control.
    • Quality Control: Inspect repairs for quality, test equipment post-service, and confirm it meets operating standards.
    • Reporting & Communication: Liaise with the mechanical foreman, update progress, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
    • Planning: Adhere to planned maintenance schedules and support proactive maintenance strategies.

    Field Service Mechanic

    Minimum Qualification / Requirements:

    • Minimum Grade 12
    • Qualified Earthmoving equipment Mechanic (Red Seal/Trade Test)
    • Valid Driver’s License - Code 10/14
    • 5 years’ experience as a Field Service Mechanic\ Diesel Mechanic

    Regional Officer (Social Development)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:

    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma (Social Sciences/Community Development/Development Studies) or other relevant qualifications.

    Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

    • Manage SLP and SED requirements for Afrimat’s Mining activities in the Western and Eastern Cape areas of South Africa.
    • Responsible for driving stakeholder engagement in their region, i.e. DMPR,
    • Government departments, Local and Provincial Municipality, Tribal Authorities, community structures etc
    • Knowledge and understanding of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development
    • Act, the Social and Labour Plan and the Mining Charter.
    • Draft SLPs and ensure compliance with all relevant national legislation.
    • Draft s102 applications (Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act) to amend approved SLPs.
    • Monitor the implementation of human resources development programmes, employment equity, procurement, management of downscaling, and housing and living conditions.
    • Develop, review and implement LED and CSI projects.
    • Compile project plans, including project requirements and needs, implement and manage the approved project plan.
    • Draft and facilitate service level agreements/memorandum of agreements.
    • Ensure project outcomes are delivered on time and to budget.
    • Monitor and report on the implementation of SLP commitments and expenditures (monthly and annually).
    • Compile Mining Charter reports and monitor and ensure compliance with Mining Charter.
    • Prepare for compliance audits/inspections by Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources.
    • Drive SED initiatives for the region, and establish and chair future forum meetings.
    • Continuously engage with relevant communities and participate in relevant community and development forums to ensure community needs are addressed through LED projects identified for the SLP.
