Requirements:

• Possession of at least three-year Bachelor’s
• Degree or National Diploma with major concentrations in Economics, Accounting of Finance, Internal Auditing or Risk Management
• Financial Accounting, I, II, III; Auditing I;Mercantile Law I; Economics I and Business Economics I; Business Management I; Local Governance I
• Fairly good written and verbal communication skills
• Computer Literacy with practical experience
• Literate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape

Functions:

• General financial Management, with reference to the Financial Management Act 56 of 2003 as well as other legislation to the municipality
• Expenditure management and related activities and functions
• Income and Cash Management and related activities ad functions
• Supply chain management and relatednactivities and functions
• Budget and treasury management and related activities and functions
• Internal controls, auditing and management/ related activities and functions
• Diverse functions and responsibilities within the municipal sphere.

Special conditions:

• Preference will be given to candidates that resides within the Municipal area of Cape Agulhas Municipality

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or National Certificate,
• Further Education and Training Certificate:
• Environmental Practice NQF4
• Environmental Management NQF 5
• Computer Literacy: MS Office
• 3-5 years relevant experience
• Valid Code B Driver’s license

Functions:

• Comply with permit conditions at all Waste Facilities.
• Communicate and monitor contractors (operational and contracts) on site at all waste facilities
• Ensuring that all worksheets are completed and signed before submitting for invoice purposes.
• Monitoring reports on service providers and the rental of equipment.
• Supervising and managing EPWP cleanup projects in informal and other areas in respective towns.
• Reporting incidents to the Department of Environmental Affairs and Planning.
• Analyzing waste data collected from landfill site using the waste calculator.
• Report illegal dumping to Waste Management Office.
• Implementation of illegal dumping strategy and awareness programmes.
• Conducting internal audits at the Landfill sites and Drop-off facilities
• Compiling action plans for the Waste facilities as requested by the Department of Environmental Affairs.
• Conduct workshops for Waste Entrepreneurs and educational waste management awareness workshops.
• Implement waste picker projects.
• Monitoring and planning of the transportation of waste from the waste facilities to regional landfill
• Responsible for all the operational duties on the Waste Facilities.
• Ensure that all maintenance issues at the Waste Facilities are addressed and completed.
