    Pre Auth Service Consultant - Talentpool

    About The Gauteng Service Team
    This team is primarily situated in Centurion and is one of four regional service teams. We take pride in excellent, world- class service delivery to our members, brokers and employer groups at all touch points in their journey.     Job Purpose

    • To deliver world class service to all Discovery Health Members, Providers, Employer groups, Hospitals, and Brokers by supporting and fully resolving their queries through various servicing channels, primarily over the telephone.
    • To effectively manage the risk of in-hospital admissions by using your clinical knowledge and integrating this with your understanding of the benefits of the scheme and ensuring accurate information regarding funding

    • Confirming benefits according to set protocols and funding rules
    • Accurately obtaining and capturing information to confirm correct funding
    • Servicing all key stakeholders telephonically and via other servicing channels until the query has been resolved
    • Servicing key stakeholders in a customer centric way to ensure that we live by our service principles
    • Keeping up to date with product changes and benefits to ensure that all key stakeholders are accurately serviced
    • Continuously staying abreast of all digital servicing tools within the business and ensuring that the functionality is fully understood

    Configuration Manager

    Key Purpose
    Vitality Group is a global organization that has adopted a modern, multi-region cloud-native architecture to deliver the vitality solution to its Global customers. The purpose of this role is to define, codify and centralize all verified configuration under the discipline of configuration management which will serve as inputs for automated provisioning and deployments. This includes configuration stored in source code repositories, artifact repositories and discovered resources in the CMDB.

    Key Outputs

    • Establish configuration management process that ensures configuration changes are approved and verified before deployment.
    • Identifying and Cataloguing system-wide configuration dependencies and rules across environments
    • Reporting on configuration inconsistencies and invoking remediation steps to correct
    • Monitor configuration consistency to avoid configuration drift
    • Ensure that binaries, packages and versions are verified and supported
    • Developing and maintaining the versioning standard and integrity of build scripts, infrastructure provisioning scripts, software configuration scripts (application and database) and deployment configuration files.
    • Manage configuration polices as configuration as code
    • Leverage discovery tools to verify that the configuration provisioned and deployed is correct
    • Conduct configuration audits across environments to understand configuration drift or items not under configuration control that supposed to be
    • Provide reporting on resources that attract costs and their net financial impact (trends, increase or decrease)
    • Establish a configuration management system that can queried for configuration data across environments
    • Analyse configuration item data, configuration item relationships, identify data inconsistencies or anomalies, and report on data discrepancies
    • Work with the configuration owners to verify version of configuration
    • Reconcile configuration items from other trusted data sources into the CMS
    • Participate in Capacity and Fault tolerant initiatives
    • Participate in Procurement and Financial Management activities

    Technical Competencies

    • Strong Cloud computing background
    • Strong Reporting and Data Analysis skills
    • Have a practical understanding of source code repositories, artefact repositories and ITIL CMDB
    • Have a practical understanding of configuration as code and management thereof.
    • Have a practical understanding of DevOps and CI/CD related processes
    • Have a practical understanding of a Microservices Architecture
    • Have a practical understanding of Site Reliability principles and processes.

    Qualifications And Experience

    • ITIL or CMMI qualification (preferably on configuration management)
    • +5 years’ experience in working with configuration as code.
    • +3 years working with Cloud Services
    • +3 years working in within a Microservices based environment
    • Qualification in software development
    • Experience in supporting cloud-native enterprises
    • Experience in designing and implementing a Configuration Management System

    Personal Assistant

     

    Key Purpose

    To enhance the Service Executive’s effectiveness by providing support and representing the service executive to internal and external stakeholders and assuming responsibility for the delivery of all Professional Assistant functions within the Service Teams.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to :
    Administrative support for management

    • Diary management for direct line manager and, if required, other senior departmental managers
    • Screen calls and take telephonic messages, attend to callers needs on behalf of managers
    • Respond to emails on behalf of managers where appropriate
    • Coordinate travel
    • Type, format and proof read documentation and presentations
    • Refer escalations to the correct channels
    • Ordering of business cards / name badges / ad hoc items

    •  

    Meetings

    • Co-ordinate internal and external meetings
    • Take minutes, draft agendas and follow up on matters arising
    • Book venues for line manager and other managers

     

    Departmental Administration

    • Draft internal communication regarding staff administration and event information
    • Source and and/or purchase staff gifts for team building initiatives or special occasions
    • Order stationery and general supplies for department
    • Pull monthly telephonic reports and ad-hoc staff reports
    • Distribution of documentation, surveys, etc.
    • Log maintenance calls for the department
    • DNA updates & email group updates
    • Track error corrections, cost adjustments and queries

    Payroll

    • Submit payroll for staff and assist with all related administration and query resolution
    • Manage parking, shuttle, telephone, overtime and shift allowances

     

    Reimbursements

    • Submit all reimbursements for managers and staff where applicable, e.g. cell phone, travel, data usage

    •  

    Finance

    • Invoice processing
    • Draft cash book and urgent payment requests
    • Follow-up of payment / queries on all invoices
    • Monitor departmental expenditure
    • Re-allocate costs where necessary
    • Manage and reconcile company credit card

     

    Events and Special Projects

    • Coordinate and deliver professional level departmental functions and events e.g. PEA’s, Reviews, Perfect 10, Strat sessions and Long Service Awards
    • Pamper projects co-ordination
