    Health Risk & Environment Officer

    Health Risk & Environment Officer

    • Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in the Security & Risk Department – Springs, Supply Chain. The successful candidate will report to the Security & Risk Controller.

    Key Performance Areas Include (but Are Not Limited To)

    • Security and loss control co-ordination.
    • Assisting in maintaining compliance to Group Safety & Fire Prevention Standards; OHS Act; COID Act;
    • Municipal & Building regulations; SABS codes; etc.
    • Ensuring that procedures are in place for the protection of assets
    • Manage site security, which includes: Implementing and maintaining effective access control
    • Performing related administration, which includes: Detailed recordkeeping with regard to Risk, Health & Safety Standards, Emergency & fire planning
    • Effective people management - Supervision of contracted Security and Cleaning Services staff and monitoring of service levels
    • Conducting hazard identification, risk assessments, audits and investigations
    • Assist in maintaining Quality Management Systems and Standards (ISO 9001:2000, HACCP, etc.
    • Incident investigation and reporting.
    • CCTV Camera System
    • Active participation in Mini-Business (MDWT) activities.

    The Successful Candidate Should Preferably Have The Following Experience/skills

    • A minimum of Grade 12 and SAMTRAC or equivalent qualification
    • Relevant working experience of 2 – 3 years in a similar capacity within a Health & Safety and / or Security & Risk field.
    • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. OHS Act, etc.) and risk control standards.
    • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO, HACCP; etc.).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective interaction with individuals on all levels.
    • Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
    • Proven ability to plan, organize, co-ordinate, facilitate and evaluate initiatives.
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
    • A valid driving licence (Code B) and own or reliable transport
    • Willingness and ability to perform standby duties if required and conduct site and emergency visits after hours.
    • Grade E – A (Advantage).

    Export Production Controller

    Export Production Controller

    • Applications are invited for the above mentioned position to be part of the International Export Logistics Department based at Wadeville Production, Germiston, Gauteng. The successful incumbent will report to the Export Order Manager.

    Key performance areas will include, but not limited to the following:

    • Export order processing
    • Source stock according to the production methodology and stock management principles
    • Co-ordinate execution of orders
    • Ensure estimated shipment dates are met
    • Continuous feedback to customers
    • Compile weekly status reports for International Business Managers
    • Provide input for service level reports

    The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Skills

    • Minimum qualification of Grade 12
    • A relevant tertiary qualification would be highly advantageous (Certificate/Diploma in International Trade and Export Logistics)
    • At least 3-5 years’ relevant experience in an Export environment
    • Knowledge of product portfolio in the export environment
    • Advanced PC literacy (MS Office)
    • Competence in the use of SAP would be advantageous
    • Experience in organising a wide variety of tasks under pressure
    • Good analytical skills
    • Ability to work independently or with little or no supervision
    • Attention to detail
    • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong Administrative Skills
    • Strong problem-solving Skills
    • Excellent time management skills and a sense of urgency
    • Proven interpersonal and persuasive skills to complete tasks outside the incumbent’s area of authority
    • An energetic and pro-active team player
