    Head of Digital Natives, SSA

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as an industry thought leader in social media and digital advertising in order to drive vertical and client success leveraging Facebook’s ongoing product and technology developments, particularly in the digital native & online services verticals
    • Develop and actively manage short and long term account plans based on client brand and direct response marketing objectives
    • Accurately and effectively manage sales pipeline in order to prioritize business opportunities and resources
    • Develop and broaden high-level collaborative relationships, including understanding and identifying contacts that manage multiple budget, (brand, DR etc.) and close large deals with up to 40 major customers
    • Create and present needs-based solutions and high quality answers to RFPs
    • Reach and exceed sales quotas while contributing to overall vertical and team goals
    • Create and deliver consultative sales presentations using industry knowledge, market trends, and Facebook marketing solutions
    • Exhibit executive presence and confidence in presenting Facebook to C-suite executives
    • Partner with other vertical teams on structuring and executing operational and strategic initiatives - developing work plans, synthesizing market related data, leading analysis and defining the overall business approach

    Minimum Qualification

    • Marketing, Brand Advertising, Direct Response, Media Sales and/or Online Advertising experience
    • Digital and traditional media sales experience strongly preferred
    • Experience of the SSA region, in particular the eCommerce vertical
    • Ability to build strong relationships with top marketing decision makers
    • Proven track record of successfully reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals through consultative sell
    • Strong understanding of Facebook user behavior and how technology works
    • Strong analytical and Excel skills are essential, as well as curiosity, persistence, and the ability to solve problems in a structured manner
    • Strong ability to apply rigor, methodologies and use technology to execute, assess, and explain complex brand and performance marketing solutions
    • Experience in a fast-paced start-up, sales, and/or online advertising environment strongly preferred
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to move fast, be bold, and thrive in a dynamic, quickly-changing environment
    • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team setting
    • Dynamic, flexible, hard-working, and highly organized
    • Strong passion for Facebook and our mission
    • Fluency in English

    Client Partner, 11 Month Contract

    Responsibilities

    • Drive up Facebook’s share of the marketing mix for key clients by shifting C-level thinking on Digital in Africa
    • Creating from scratch and managing Africa wide partnership agreements and deals with key brands
    • Act as the spokesperson for Facebook at key industry events
    • Actively participate in the Africa team and global teams where appropriate, embracing company culture, mission, and strategy
    • Drive overall operational efficiency across sales, marketing and business operations
    • Develop, retain and motivate existing team while recruiting for new members and continually raising the bar for talent and capabilities
    • Engaging with Legal, Measurement, Product, PR and an array of internal and external partners to help drive results
    • Provide timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on sales and revenue performance by actively managing the pipeline of opportunities and weekly sales forecasts.

    Minimum Qualification

    • Masters or Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred
    • Existing network & experience in West Africa, particularly Nigeria & Ghana
    • 10+ years relevant experience in commerce, marketing, sales and management
    • Flexibility to travel & spend time with clients face-to-face in addition to excellence in driving relationships & business using communications technology.Stellar hands-on industry leader and communicator who thrives in a team environment
    • Strong understanding of traditional & digital landscapes, including performance marketingProven and consistent track record of executing against aggressive growth strategies and delivering sales targets in excess of company expectations
    • Personal network in place with regional C Level executives in the agency and client ecosystems.
