    Paid Media Specialist/ Social Media Trader

    Daily roles and responsibilities:

    • Launch campaigns through social trading desk.
    • Support digital team in targeting advisals and audience sizing.
    • Optimise campaign performance.
    • Recon campaign spends.
    • Receive brief from Account Managers with budget, buy type, KPI's and audience build.
    • Set up campaign in the back of Facebook Business Manager.
    • Go live on campaigns and monitor performance daily.
    • Recommend optimisations for campaigns based on performance being seen & receive instructions for optimisations from team to implement.
    • Work with spends, campaign pacing, bid caps, etc
    • Receive creative and load it to into the campaign for each audience.
    • Back-end work with tech tools a daily requirement in this role.
    • Alert teams on Meta services updates.

    General responsibilities:

    • Provide quarterly social media landscape insights
    • Work across markets in Africa
    • Update digital team on changes to Meta platforms (new formats, changes in available buy types etc)

    Skills:

    • Backend knowledge of social platforms and algorithm procedures
    • Meta Business Manager
    • Paid Media Knowledge and skills
    • Ability to work with financial topics
    • Experience in ad-ops (specifically social media)
    • Detail-oriented and interested in tech stacks
    • Experience working with Facebook Business Manager, DV360, Google Adwords. 
    • Ability to work on multiple projects at once

    Media Buyer

    Responsibilities

    • Reporting on campaign bookings and ensuring that we receive POF
    • Compare and negotiate rates, ad space and airtime
    • Maintain healthy relationships with clients and media owners
    • Monitors buys in progress by spot-checking placement and negotiating credit or billing adjustments when necessary
    • Booking individual advertising space
    • Ensuring that the adverts run accurately so the desired media message is seen and heard by consumers
    • Working on a range of client accounts at the same time, often juggling various projects and deadlines
    • Supporting the media manager and other colleagues
    • Load all insertions onto relevant buying systems and ensuring that the insertions are ready for billings before month-end
    • Ensure that all proof of performance has been obtained
    • Resolve account queries
    • Prepare Chase lists and dispatch to relevant parties
    • Ensure that all material is dispatched timeously and if needs be material extensions are obtained and communicated to creative agency

    Requirements

    • 2-3 years of experience is essential for this position, especially on CPP buying.
    • Familiarity with media-buying, planning and research
    • Ability to work on Excel a must
    • Ability to work on PowerPoint
    • Working knowledge of media buying software (Chase)
    • Interest in following advertising and media trends

    Head of Digital

    Some of the responsibilities include:

    • Build digital capability within the agency
    • Each team must have access to relevant training
    • Ensure that teams are up to date with latest tech developments
    • Map digital capabilities to strategic priorities. Digital won’t get the visibility or support it needs if it’s not helping the company get where it wants to go
    • Develop and administer the digital project portfolio
    • Create and document processes for digital work, including supplying templates
    • Develop ways to attract and retain top talent. Companies often have more mature visions for digital than they do skills
    • Review all digital work leaving the agency
    • Ensure that digital work comes in on budget and on time
    • Assisting the CSO with creation of digital strategies
    • Briefing/Assisting in briefing major campaigns/social media
    • Build a digital implementation team within the agency
    • Ensuring management of agency digital/social platforms
    • Briefing minor creative (banners)
    • Project Management
