    Case Management Officer

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Monitor and account for stationery, consumable levels
    • Attend to professional drafted correspondence, posting, serving and courier documents
    • Generate case management Reports when requested
    • Assist at reception(front office) or other Case Manager
    • Allocate all applications and maintain proper records, diaries and file notes
    • Book venues, Interpreters and Panelist for cases with proper notice in terms of DRC rules
    • Capture and schedule cases and notify parties, manage effective correspondence with parties
    • Case management and take instructions from MC where necessary
    • Manage all DRC files in good professional order with all file notes and trails
    • Maintain and update CMS and diaries in professional order
    • Ensure non jurisdiction matters are transferred to the correct forum and notify parties
    • Manage venues and attendees in a professional manner
    • Liaise with the CCMA, MIBCO and Labour Court/DOL professionally when required
    • Manage referrals from the referred stage to the closed status on CMS maintaining regional efficiency and run required reports
    • Oversee and complete SECT 143(3) Applications and maintain a register
    • Process applications for postponement in terms of the rules
    • Process condonations and rescission applications in terms of the rules
    • Screen referral documents and notify party if the referral is defective and advise on areas of remedy needed
    • Allocate cases to Panelists and compile proper accounts for payment
    • Handle complaints and queries professionally
    • Receive and assist callers and visitors professionally and methodically
    • Assist with interpretation at conciliation and arbitration hearings  

    Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Requirements

    • Good verbal communication and excellent listening skills
    • Ability to withstand pressure and provide above average services
    • Must at all times be professional, diplomatic and assertive
    • Ability to work independently and use initiative along with problem solving abilities
    • Ability to hold professional relationships with stakeholders, i.e. Parties of the Council, members and management team
    • Adopt appropriate interpersonal style in achieving task accomplishment, modifying behavior according to tasks and individuals involved
    • Must be a good team player and achieve objectives and comply with all directives as set out by the Managing Commissioner
    • Must be meticulous in carrying out tasks/instructions and be fully accountable for all work
    • Must be patient and accommodating.
    • Must be able to work independently
    • Knowledge of the Dispute Resolution Centre processes would be an added advantage
    • Knowledge of the CCMA case management system would be an advantage
    • Knowledge of Labour relations Act and related employment Laws is an advantage 

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • An appropriate grade 12 certificate and/ or equivalent academic qualification
    • Professionalism is a requirement
    • Computer Literacy
    • Proficient in Official languages, including English

    Handyman/Driver

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure that compliance is maintained within required building in accordance with statutory regulations and MIBCO standards
    • Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the building and office equipment, carry out general maintenance or housekeeping duties as directed by work instructions and maintenance plan.
    • Completes preventive maintenance according to the maintenance plan
    • Maintenance of efficient responses/feedback to complaints/queries received
    • Responsible for administration/correspondence and follow up functions related to the position.
    • Completes work order records and files all related maintenance paperwork
    • Liaise with MIBCO service providers in line with orders and or any other services aligned
    • Oversee and ensure all sub-contractors and MIBCO contractor leave the area in a clean and tidy state when the work is completed
    • Maintaining and refilling of adequate stock levels of consumables and safeguarding of tools
    • Responsible for housekeeping of storeroom
    • Prepare and collect post from the post office and any other relevant places as instructed and distribute accordingly including CCMA
    • Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of company pool vehicle
    • Assist with any other function as per Manager’s instructions

    Qualifications

    • Basic literacy skills (read and write English)
    • Matric with 5 years’ experience or working as handy man or driver
    • 7 – 10 years’ recognition of prior learning and handyman’s experience
    • Handyman Course Certificate will be advantage
    • Electrical and plumbing maintenance experience is highly preferred
    • A relevant trade qualification will be advantageous
    • Basic computer literacy skills required
    • Driver’s license required
