    Manager: Local Economic and Development (Ref 1)

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Planning and implementation, Policy development review and implementation, Performance management of the Sub-Division, Programme and project management, monitoring, reporting and sustainable development project, Stakeholder relations, Risk management, Coordinate resources, Performance reporting, Financial management, Corporate Governance, Coaching and mentoring, Planning, leadership, controlling and organising, Supervision of subordinates, Reporter, Corporate Governance within the Division, Human resource management, Continuous improvement to service delivery.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Essential: A relevant three (3) to four (4) year tertiary qualification (NQF 7) in Development Economics, Business Development or Development Planning, Computer literacy (MS Office), Code EB driving licence, 8 or more years' relevant working experience at management level, with at least 3 years' experience in administration of a development planning environment, At least five (5) years' experience in local government and/or the private sector, particularly in strategic planning, stakeholder relations, financial management and budgeting, economic development policy, planning and implementation,
    • At least five (5) years' experience in management and coordination of large-scale projects, particularly in enterprise development, EPWP and economic development, Knowledge of Municipal Finance Management Act, Municipal Systems Act, municipal and local government legislation, economic development theory, economic development finance, economic development strategy, economic development, Advanced project management skills and familiarity with applicable project management software and methodologies, Excellent communication skills, General human resource management and networking experience.
    • Preferred: A Honour's Degree in Economics plus a Master's in Economic/Development Economics, Masters in Business Administration or Master of Business Leadership, Computer literacy (MS Office), 10 or more years' senior management experience in related field.

    Manager Roads and Storm Water Services (Ref 2)

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Planning and implementation, Monitoring and evaluation of performance, Management and operation, Management of roads and storm water construction and maintenance plans, Project monitoring, Stakeholder relations, Leadership, controlling and organising, Human resources management, Compliance: Legal, regulatory and statutory framework and processes, Financial management, Corporate governance, Continuity management.

    Assistant Manager: Local Enterprise Development and Employment Facilitation (Ref 3)

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Financial and non-financial support to SMMEs and cooperatives, Promote Local Economic Development, Stakeholder relations management, Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), Risk management, Capacity building and information dissemination, Report on performance of the section, Human resource management.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Essential: Degree in Development Economics, Business Development, Development Planning, Economics, Finance, Business Management or relevant experience in the Local Economic Development Facilitation or Development Planning environment, At least five (5) years' experience with at least two (2) years' experience in supervisory level with at least two (2) years' relevant experience in managing the implementation of economic development, enterprise development, Extended Public Works Programme (EPWP) projects.
    • Preferred: An Honour's Degree in Business Management, Economic Development, Small Business Development or a related field, More than five (5) years' relevant working experience at management level including experience in the Small Medium Micro Enterprise and Business management.

    Assistant Manager: Customer Accounts (Ref 4)

    Key Performance Areas:

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Essential: A relevant three-year tertiary qualification, preferably a National Diploma or Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Computer literacy (MS Office), A minimum of eight (8) years' relevant experience covering all aspects of financial management, particularly with regard to the management of financial information, or specialist experience in a finance discipline.
    • Preferred: A Postgraduate Degree (NQF Level 8) in Financial Management, Accounting, Registration with a professional body, Financial Management Development (CPD), A minimum of 8 to twelve 12 years' relevant experience in a finance environment, of which 5 years must have been at junior management level.

    • Preferred: A Postgraduate Degree (NQF Level 8) in Financial Management, Accounting or Cost Management Certificate Programme in Management Development (CPMD), Computer literacy (MS Office), 8 to 12 years' relevant working experience in a finance environment, of which at least 5 years must have been at junior management level.
