    Administrative Assistant (Polokwane)

    The duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant will include, but not limited to:

    • Day to day office support and administration assistance to the programme  
    • Assist with procurement administration, including obtaining quotes from suppliers for programme related services, submitting invoices to finance. 
    • Assist with transporting supplies, equipment, commodities, and collection of documents from the field. 
    • Assist with locating venues for implementation sessions within selected communities. 
    • Assist with keeping a logbook register (refreshments being disbursed to participants, disbursement of airtime or data to the programme team) 
    • Develop and maintain a network of working level external contacts. 
    • Liaison with third parties (i.e. caterers, venues) as required. 
    • Assemble materials (stationery, printing, etc.) for meetings and trainings. 
    • Document management and filing, including electronic filing on central database. 
    • Maintain office supplies and equipment inventory as required. 
    • Maintain administrative records including meeting minutes and reports. 
    • Maintain programme team calendar of events, key meetings, training calendar. 
    • Supply chain monitoring of key commodities for programme interventions.  
    • Ad-hoc duties as required by the project.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Matric certificate or equivalent NQF qualification.  
    • An Office/Business Administration Certificate or Diploma would be a strong recommendation. 
    • Minimum of 2 years Administrative and / or PA experience. 
    • Strong computer knowledge (Excel, Word and PowerPoint, E-mails, Internet).  
    • Previous experience arranging flight bookings, finance admin, procurement, and training logistics. 
    • Be fully conversant in spoken and written English and be able to communicate at ease with all levels of staff and clients.  
    • Experience working in NGO/NPO field will be advantageous.  
    • Strong attention to detail and meticulous organisational skills.  
    • Valid driver’s license

    Community Facilitators (Western Cape)

    The duties and responsibilities of the Community Facilitator will include, but not limited to:

    • Travel daily within the community to perform demand creation, identifying and recruiting beneficiaries into the DREAMS programme according to the prescribed process.
    • (May at times be needed to travel and assist outside of allocated sub-district)
    • Facilitate profiling and needs assessment of participants.
    • Provide foundational training and mentoring which is engaging, fun, and impactful and any other training that may be deemed appropriate and beneficial to the participant.
    • Assist to secure resources when needed i.e. (identify safe spaces in the community for group training sessions).
    • Ensure weekly/ monthly/quarterly targets for training and mentoring are met.
    • Provide ongoing mentoring and support to participant enrolled in the DREAMS programme.
    • Facilitate complete and accurate transfer of on-site referral requests to partnered organisation/s.
    • Adhere to all administration processes and submit complete and accurate documents to Team Leader within the prescribed time frame.
    • Attend weekly team meetings, ad hoc programme meetings, and training, planning and reporting daily, weekly and monthly.

    Required qualifications, skills and experience.

    • Minimum of Grade 12/Matric or equivalent.
    • Reside in the community where the programme will be implemented.
    • Experience in group-based facilitation (Youth Facilitator, Community Care Worker, DREAMS Ambassador).
    • Experience working within a GBV (Gender Based Violence) programme-preferred.
    • Proficient in English and one other South African language (spoken in allocated district).
    • Ability to work under pressure and strong interpersonal skills.
    • Driver’s License advantageous.

    Evaluation Specialist (Century City)

    The duties and responsibilities of the Evaluations Specialist will include, but not limited to: 

    • Lead on the identification, design, and commissioning of external programme evaluations and other operational research studies for the Global Fund Programmes.
    • Drive a evaluation agenda, including the identification of evaluation and research opportunities, development of research protocols, oversight of data capture for research projects, and write up of findings for publication.
    • Manage all evaluation and research studies for GF programmes, including contract management, oversight and project management of external evaluators and researchers.
    • Provide technical input on evaluation design and methodologies, review evaluation deliverables from internal teams as well as external service providers.
    • Lead the coordination of relevant evaluation advisory committees to ensure efficient communication between stakeholders and adherence to project governance structures.
    • Oversee and manage (together with SANAC and Global Fund) the evaluation plan and budget for NACOSA’s GF programmes.
    • Write or contribute to publications and conference papers.
    • Disseminate research findings internally and externally including presentations at research days and conferences.
    • Coach and train team members to ensure the acquisition of knowledge and skills required by the organisation
    • Lead or contribute to technical components of proposals.
    • Stay abreast with relevant research findings.

    Qualifications and experience

    • Post Graduate degree or equivalent in the Public Health or Social Sciences sector (Monitoring and Evaluation qualification preferred)
    • Minimum of 5 years’ evaluation and research experience in public health or related field, preferably in HIV and AIDS.
    • Demonstrated qualitative and quantitative evaluation skills, including sample design, mixed method designs, and instrument development.
    • Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methodologies, implementation research approaches, data quality improvement, health management information systems, data visualisation and reporting.
    • M&E experience in infection prevention and control, HIV/AIDS, TB, health systems strengthening, disease surveillance.
    • Familiarity with South Africa’s health management information system and other national M&E systems
    • Experience with bilateral and multilateral donor M&E requirements including experience in maintaining donor relationships and communicating with donors.

    Team Leader (Western Cape)

    The duties and responsibilities of the Team Leader will include, but not limited to:

    • Support the Program Coordinator to lead the team to implement and execute targeted demand creations, mobilization, recruitment and enrolment activities. 
    • Plan and execute weekly facilitation of EBIs to relevant target populations by community facilitators. 
    • Support the Program Coordinator in safe space and stakeholder/partner mapping, maintenance of a database of stakeholders and their services/focus areas (DREAMS and non-DREAMS partners), support successful referrals and bi-directional linkages of DREAMS primary and secondary interventions. 
    • Perform first line data completeness checks and submit data on behalf of the team; assist Program Coordinator to collect team output data for the compilation of reports.  
    • Support Team Planning and assist to submit individual team member plans to the Program Officer on a weekly basis; submit requests for procurement and logistics on behalf of the team; record and track stock/equipment issued to the team. 

    Required qualifications, skills and experience

    • Post Matric Qualification preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in leading direct implementation teams working in the HIV prevention field in a target driven program.
    • Related work experience in the health and social development sectors, and preferably in the field of AGYW and/or survivors of sexual violence advantageous. 
    • Experience in direct implementation planning, logistical support and basic data collection/completeness checks is important. 
    • Well established community/stakeholder relationship building track record/ability to network and navigate communities. 
    • Knowledge about: HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health; HIV Testing Services; GBV programming; evidence-informed and rights-based programming for survivors of GBV, particularly for adolescent girls and young women.  
    • Excellent communications skills in English and any other South African Language.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment, person centered; possess leadership skills and qualities and be proactive.  
    • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with experience of web-based data systems  
    • Driver’s license non-negotiable.

    Programme Coordinator (Western Cape)

    The duties and responsibilities of the Programme Coordinator will include, but not limited to:

    • Performance management on a day-to-day basis, including guidance and support of implementation staff to meet weekly targets in terms of recruitment, enrolment and completion of GBV prevention group-based interventions
    • Managing and tracking of daily staff attendance, leave monitoring and ensuring accurate submission of monthly time sheets by staff.
    • Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly planning and microplanning with facilitators to ensure daily activities implemented are geared towards meeting of targets.
    • Developing contingency plans and utilizing problem solving to overcome day to day challenges.
    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support the smooth implementation of evidence- based group interventions.
    • Provide training and mentoring support to ensure capacity is built within the teams.
    • Develop tools to ensure bi-directional referral pathways for successful linkages for DREAMS AGYW to health, education and social support services.
    • Engage fellow DREAMS partners on co-location and micro-planning of services to ensure successful referral of all eligible AGYW to relevant DREAMS partner services.
    • Work closely with the M&E team to refine and build on the suite of M&E tools in place so as to ensure the monitoring tools are fit for purpose.
    • Facilitate quality assurance activities of data and interventions ensuring data quality and intervention fidelity is upheld.

    Required qualifications, skills and experience

    • Post Matric Qualification in Social Science/Public Health or related discipline.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ related work experience in leading direct implementation teams in a target driven programme (specific experience is required in implementation planning, logistical support functions, monitoring and evaluation).
    • Well established community/stakeholder relationship building track record/ability to network and navigate communities.
    • Knowledge of HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health; HIV Testing Services; Gender Based Violence (GBV) programming; evidence-informed and rights-based programming for survivors of GBV, particularly for adolescent girls and young women.
    • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with experience of web-based data systems
    • Understanding of the NGO sector and knowledge of big donor processes/requirements will be advantageous.
    • Excellent communications skills in English and any other South African Language.
    • Driver’s license non-negotiable.
