    Lamination Operator - Isithebe

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for pre-make ready such as requesting of job card, ordering adhesives, solvent, and substrates.
    • Do a ratio check at the begin of each shift and job change.
    • Do a grammage check at the begin of each shift and job change.
    • Responsible for the setup of the lamination process by preparing the machine for the next job ensuring that trays and pumps are clean.
    • Responsible for loading of coating sleeves specified by the job card while ensuring that adhesives batch numbers are recorded.
    • Responsible for setting up of coating stations, ensuring that the coating grammage comply with job card.
    • Responsible for ongoing quality control by continuously conducting visual checks on lamination substrate during production for the following specifics: coating weight and lay of adhesive.
    • Record all scrap produced on the system.
    • Responsible for recording production data.
    • Comply with all ITB’s policies including but not limited to Health and Safety, General Workplace policies, Quality and Food Packaging safety and standard operating procedures.

    Educational Requirements

    • Have completed Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent with computer knowledge.

    Experience Requirements

    • Have a fair knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 Quality standards.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in the plastic industry (packaging).
    • At least 2-year experience as a Lamination Machine Operator.

    Advertising Sales Representative

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement account plans and approaches in line with the overall strategy formulated by the Sales Manager or publisher;
    • Identify and generate new business opportunities ongoing to achieve predetermined sales targets;
    • Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations to new and existing clients to negotiate and close deals;
    • Create tailored solutions that meet the client’s short and long-term needs;
    • Build strategic working relationships with clients and maintain a high level of client contact (telephonic and face to face) to ensure that their specific requirements are addressed, to monitor and grow existing business;
    • Analyse potential sales opportunities by using data analyses, segmented research and information available to identify the attributes most valued by these potential clients;
    • Provide professional and exceptional client service in all interactions with clients;
    • Closely monitor competitors and maintain client database;
    • Keep all administrative work updated;
    • Report on sales opportunities and achievements as required (weekly and monthly); and
    • Maintain a high level of relevant industry knowledge.

    Educational Requirements

    • Grade12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in sales/marketing preferred.

    Experience Requirements

    • A valid code 8 drivers license
    • Experience 3-5 years’ experience within a sales / target driven environment;
    • Experience dealing with advertising agencies.
    • Experience in media industry
    • Digital and Social Media sales experience
    • Proficiency in relevant software packages and applications;
    • Knowledge of sales strategies and concepts;
    • Good understanding of developing sales reports

    Bagmaking Operator

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • To ensure that the correct material is converted on machines and must be in line with the requirements of the job card.
    • To set the job on the machines guided by the works instruction, set- up procedure and relevant SOP in accordance with the Job card, Master Sample and Artwork.
    • To capture and record production information on ITB’s computerised operating system “Customs 2”.
    • To record relevant production information in production logbooks.
    • To ensure that the bags are packed in accordance with the packing instructions on the relevant job cards.
    • To ensure that all scrap is removed during production run, weighed, recorded, and labelled.
    • To conduct random quality inspection as per the Bagmaking works instruction and record results of tests in electronic Quality Records on Customs as per the Bagmaking quality works instruction.
    • To continuously perform trouble shooting on machines whenever necessary.
    • To comply with all ITB’s policies and procedures including but not limited to Health & Safety, General Workplace policies, Quality & Food packaging safety, standard operating procedure etc

    Educational Requirements

    • Have completed Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.

    Experience Requirements

    • Fair knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 Quality standards
    • At least 4 years’ experience in the plastic industry (packaging)
    • At least 2 years’ experience operating conversion machines.
