    25436 - Analyst, Operations (CLO Surveillance)

    • Introduction An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CLO (Collateralised Loan Obligation) Analyst to join a globally respected asset management firm in Cape Town.

    Key qualifications and experience for the CLO Analyst

    • Minimum relevant Accounting/Finance BCom degree
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ related experience in investment operations specifically reconciliation
    • Relevant industry experience (Financial Services / Asset Management)
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Familiarity with systems such as WSOWeb or Moodys Compliance (advantageous)
    • Experience in completing the full process of reconciling – NB

    Key duties for the CLO Analyst

    • Reconcile monthly Trustee reports and quarterly Note Valuation reports with internal systems, identifying and resolving any collateral, compliance test, or transactional discrepancies that arise.
    • Assist with interpreting and applying complex transaction documentation by calculating and modelling waterfall payments, management fees, ISDA implications, covenant guidelines, and restrictions.
    • Review portfolio legal documents in collaboration with underwriters, counsel, rating agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Forecast fund income, expenses, accruals, and investor returns ahead of quarterly payment dates to support effective financial planning.
    • Ensure all portfolio trades and restructures adhere strictly to portfolio legal requirements through diligent monitoring and review.
    • Support daily, weekly, and quarterly reporting processes related to rating reconciliation and CLO Net Asset Value calculations.
    • Respond promptly to Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) requests concerning CLOs and financing matters for investors as well as internal portfolio management teams.
    • Maintain accurate data within internal systems such as WSOWeb and Moodys Compliance Systems to ensure integrity across all operational functions.
    • Collaborate closely with global teams based in New York and London to share insights, resolve issues efficiently, and drive best practices across regions.

    Head of Technology

    • My client is looking for a seasoned Head of IT or IT Manager to work with Senior Management and implement the established strategy for the Technology Team that is aligned with the company’s business goals, especially that of an out-sourced IT service model.
    • You will lead and oversee the IT team in implementing, maintaining, and managing the organisation's technology infrastructure and systems.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Quality: All employees are required to comply with the company quality standards- to ensure that SOPs that govern their area of responsibility are adhered to as well as kept up to date. It is the Head of Technology’s role to develop and review Technology Policies and Procedures.
    • Ensure documentation of all systems that have been developed in-house.
    • Governance & Compliance: Head of Technology to embrace King IV Code as well as work towards ISO27001 compliance to ensure Technology Compliance and Good Governance.
    • Technology Leadership: Providing leadership and guidance to the technology team and ensuring that the team is motivated, productive, and aligned with the overall technology strategy.
    • Technology Operations: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the technology department, ensuring smooth functioning of technology systems and infrastructure, and troubleshooting any technical issues. This includes telecommunication platforms, hardware, internet, network and servers.

    • Collaboration with Other Departments: Working closely with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and product development, to understand their technology needs and aligning technology initiatives accordingly.
    • Performance Metrics: Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to technology operations, projects, and overall performance. Using data-driven insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

    Minimum Required Qualifications & Experience:

    • Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is typically required.
    • Platforms Experience: Implementing and/or maintenance of the Salesforce platform highly advantageous.
    • Quality Experience: In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001 standards and information security best practices also highly advantageous.
    • Infrastructure Support: Networking, Server support
    • Development Platform: Knowledge of HCL Notes/Domino highly advantageous.
    • Server operating Systems: Windows Server and Linux operational knowledge highly advantageous
