    Assistant Company Secretary

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • Manage the effective running of the activities of the Board in conjunction with the Board Chairperson 
    • Act as a primary point of contact and source of advice/guidance to Board Members regarding SITA and its activities to assist in their decision-making process. 
    • Keep under review all legal and regulatory developments affecting SITA’s operations and make sure the Directors are properly informed of such developments 
    • Co-ordinate the publication and distribution of the company’s annual report and accounts and interim statements, in consultation with the company’s internal and external advisers when preparing the directors’ report to ensure that reporting is done in a timely and accurate manner 
    • Manage the development and implementation of systems that ensure that SITA complies with all applicable codes as well as its legal and statutory requirements 
    • Maintain statutory books including registers of members and directors to advise the shareholder accordingly on any changes 
    • Facilitate the proper induction and training of Board Members to enable them to assume their roles and responsibilities and execute their fiduciary duties in the best interests of SITA as set out in the Companies Act and all other applicable Legislations. 

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Required Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in Law or Commerce. Registration with the SA Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators will be an added advantage. 
    • Certifications: 8 – 10 years' experience in Corporate Governance or Legal and Commercial Environments. 5 years' experience in the field of Committee Secretary. 3 to 5 years' experience in an Assistant Company Secretary or Board secretary role. 
    • Registration with a Professional Body: Companies Act. SITA Act. Governance Body of Knowledge (G-BOK). 
    • King Code III and applicable Legislations. ICT business Environment and Landscape. 
    • Experience: 7 – 8 years’ experience in Corporate Governance or Legal and Commercial Environments. 5 years’ experience in the field of Committee Secretary. 3 years’ experience in an Assistant Company Secretary role.

    Consultant: End User Computing Technician

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • Manage the provision of desktop support services. 
    • Facilitate the implementation of Desktop management Operational plan, processes, policies and standards. 
    • The design, implementation, customization and maintenance of the Remote Software deployment strategy. 
    • Incident Management. 
    • Coordinate all installations and fixes for desktop computers, printers, telephones, software, peripherals, etc. for Departments.  

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Minimum: Degree/ National Diploma in IT or Computer Science or IT related fields (NQF level 6) 
    • Certification: N+ and international examination passed A+ and international examination passed, CCNA/MSCE. 
    • Experience: Experience: 5 - 6 years’ experience in the End User Computing and related LAN Infrastructure services. 3 years’ experience as a Senior Specialist, Senior Specialist EUC Support Engineer, Consultant Network Engineer, Management in a corporate or public sector organization. Experience in working within the ITIL Framework for Incident, Problem, Change, or Service Request Management. Experience in the design, planning, implementation of ICT solutions and services.

    Project Manager

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • Effectively applies project management principles to initiate and plan the project. 
    • Manage product delivery to ensure successful delivery of the project. 
    • Monitor and Control project activities to ensure successful delivery of the project objectives within budget, scope, time and quality according to plan 
    • Consolidate, Monitor and control project costs and revenue to ensure delivery of the project within budget and profitability guidelines 
    • Monitor and Control project risks and issues; and 
    • Close Project according to company policy. 

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Minimum: 3-year National Diploma / Degree in a relevant discipline - at NQF level 6. Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Prince 2 Practitioner/Foundation Certification and/or Agile PM Practitioner/Foundation would be an added advantage. 
    • Experience: A minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in a project management environment or relevant discipline, including: 3 years as project management experience 2 years in relevant discipline.

    Researcher

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • Participate in developing and implementing Research & Innovation strategies and roadmaps (from an ICT Research & Innovation perspective) to ensure a comprehensive and integrated Research and Innovation function. 
    • Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of governance mechanisms for ICT Research & Innovation and monitor the adherence thereto so as to deliver quality products in a controlled environment. 
    • Participate in the development and implementation of Architectural mechanisms, by providing research to support the development of GWEA to improve interoperability of government systems by the ICT Research & Innovation. 
    • Provide pro-active ICT research services and distribution of research material to government departments and to SITA internal business units so as to meet: ICT Research & Innovation service delivery commitments. 
    • Provide basic research on public services and impact on citizens so as to meet ICT Research & Innovation service delivery commitments. 
    • Ensure that resources are kept abreast of the latest industry developments and ensure that appropriate technologies are used for knowledge management so as to ensure that innovation and improved productivity. 
    • Develop and execute stakeholder relationship management plans to enable effective management and improvement of stakeholder relationships. 

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in ICT or related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering) or equivalent. 
    • Experience: 3 - 5 years experience in research in the ICT field, including research on ICT and digital technologies and market analysis. 
    • Experience in ICT research within the corporate/public sector, including Research and published papers or report on IT or digital technologies; Research analysis of efficient and effective IT solutions to diverse and complex business problems.

    Admin Assistant (Company Secretary)

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • Receive and record incoming and outgoing correspondence to ensure proper record keeping for the sub department. 
    • Prepare and distribute minutes, presentations as well as general office documentation/communication to ensure that information reached relevant identified parties. 
    • Perform general office duties. 
    • Arrange work sessions and staff meetings with employees and coordinate all logistical arrangements for the sub department. 
    • Responsible for the accommodation and flight arrangements for the sub division in accordance with SITA travelling policy and procedures to the satisfaction of the division. 
    • Assist with the logistical and travel arrangements of Directors and CoSec 
    • Provide management support to the sub departmental Budget 
    • Ensure adherence to the organisation quality standards in terms of documentation that requires management approval. 
    • Ensure that filing is done in accordance with the document management system. 
    • Assist with signing of declaration of interest and ensure that it has been signed and filed. 

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Minimum: Grade 12 (NQF level 4) plus a relevant recognised course (shorter than a year at NQF level 4-certificate of competence) –depending on operational requirements. MS Office certification will be an added advantage. 
    • Experience : 1 – 2 years experience applicable to the specified discipline.

    Key Responsibility Area 

    • Design, develop and maintain the infrastructure (including networks) solutions for SITA clients. Prototyping of solutions. Design, develop and maintain an Application and Integration solutions for SITA clients.
    • Design, develop and maintain the infrastructure solutions for SITA clients and technology portfolio. Design, develop and maintain Information Security solutions for SITA clients that meet regulatory obligations and data protection requirements as well as align with the business and corporate security strategy.
    • Project management of projects to meet service delivery. Provision of technical consulting expertise across the organization from strategic decision making down to the project implementation. 

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Minimum: 3-year National Higher Diploma / Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering. 
    • Experience: 7-8 years practical experience in the ICT field in at least Architecture/Business analysis/System Analysis/ Application development /Information security/ Infrastructure (Hosting/Network)/ Data management. 4- 5 years’ experience in the implementation of integrated solutions across multiple hardware and software platforms in a large corporate/public sector organization; Driving the rapid implementation and adoption of new technologies, ideas and processes; Using modelling and analysis concepts to inform and illustrate proposed solutions; Engaging with clients and relevant stakeholders to determine project requirements by determining project scope, timelines and deliverables.
