    Supervisor: Inspection Systems

    Job Summary:

    • To ensure that Inspections systems are functioning correctly and that all quality control processes are producing the product that meets specified requirements and leads the team.

    Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • To ensure compliance to defined quality standards
    • To perform necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met
    • To ensure calibration of the inspection system is conducted on a regular basis
    • To compile inspection reports to track waste rates and determine opportunities for improvement
    • To conduct troubleshooting of inspection system to ensure optimal results
    • To provide training to Operators on the inspection system
    • To lead the team through development and performance management
    • To develop adaptation models for new/revised denominations
    • To ensure compliance to policies, procedures, processes and relevant legislation.

    The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:

    • Grade 12
    • Basic Computer Skills
    • 3 years’ experience in an inspection related field in the printing industry
    • Supervisory experience

    Sourcing Specialist

    Job Summary:

    • We are looking for an individual to develop, implement and manage sourcing strategies, plans & tactics to effectively source goods and services on behalf of the SABN.

    Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • Sourcing of goods and services which include but not limited to market research, preparation of RFI’s, RFQ’s & RFP’s, evaluation of bids/tenders, commercial negotiations, recommendations for the supplier award, including the preparation & presentation of submissions to the Procurement Committee in accordance with the procurement policy of SABN & relevant legislation including BBBEE.
    • Analyse spend; formulate sourcing and category management strategies based on business requirements that will lead to benefits (cost reduction or avoidance) without causing supply risks.
    • Support manufacturing planning & monitoring of compliance on contract purchases and projects.
    • Supplier relationship management (SRM) and the implementation of supplier performance management processes & audits.
    • Draft agreements with appropriate terms and conditions.
    • To manage and enhance relationships between the department relevant internal & external stakeholders.
    • Undertake market analysis to identify new opportunities and deliver total cost to company.
    • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of complex business requirements and documentation.
    • Experience with managing vendor agreements.
    • Uncover and understand business needs and translate them into requirements.
    • Assess and address complex technical risks in relation to projects across user departments.

    The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:

    • B Degree in Supply Chain Management or Procurement Management.
    • Member of the Charted Institute of Procurement and Supply (Added advantage).
    • Minimum of 8 years in a Supply Chain Operations and Procurement Management environment with experience in a middle management.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the completion and submission of RFP’s through the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and construction projects.
    • Previous experience in working in an FMCG or Manufacturing fast paced environment.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Procurement related strategy development.
    • Tactical Operational Procurement.
    • Enterprise resource planning (ERP) – JD Edwards Procurement module.
    • Contract drafting and management with a focus on engineering and construction projects.

    Procurement Consultant

    Job Summary:

    • The purpose of this role is to manage the sourcing and purchasing of goods (non-stock, stock and capital) and services from suppliers based on an approved purchase requisition and in line with the procurement policy and procedures.

    Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • To procure non-stock, stock and services in accordance with the procurement policy and procedures.
    • To procure non-stick, stock and services of the right quality and quantity at the best prices, and contribute to cost saving and continuation of production.
    • To establish and maintain vendor (supplier) database to ensure accurate and complete information is available on the enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
    • To maintain good internal customer relations to ensure that long outstanding purchase orders are being followed up.
    • To administer purchase orders to ensure that all supporting documentation are maintained for all purchase orders.
    • To perform ad-hoc functions as assigned to ensure timeous completion of ad-hoc task assigned.

    The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:

    • Grade 12
    • National Diploma in Supply Chain or Procurement
    • Degree in Supply Chain or Procurement (advantages)
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management environment.
