MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION
- To identify, initiate, investigate, research, plan and record relevant material from stories that are complex in nature and to produce news reports in Afrikaans and English that are fair, accurate and compelling to target audiences
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Initiate and cover stories as assigned or commissioned in at least two languages (Afrikaans and English).
- Provide quality scripts and clear voice-overs, including on-air broadcasts.

- Reporters are expected to file for radio, television and SABC News and Current Affairs digital platforms, including X, Twitter, Facebook, Podcasts and/ or writing for the digital news website.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- National Diploma / Degree in Journalism or Media Studies or equivalent qualification (NQF 6 / 7)
- 5 years’ experience in general News and Current Affairs reporting
- Understand legislation and regulations impacting broadcasting
- Sound understanding of current trends in the social, economic and political environment
- Computer literacy
- Ability to interact and manage different role-players / stakeholders at various levels

Reporting to Head of Regions, Governance & Strategy:
- To develop and provide the strategic and operational leadership for the region, and coordinate and align the business activities of all the different functional divisions within the region, through optimal delivery and embedment of the regional plans with the organisational business strategy to ensure the financial and operational sustainability of the SABC within the region.

Main purpose of the position
- The purpose of this role is to ensure that all advertising and sponsorship sales are successfully flighted on the appropriate platform, channel or application timeously and in compliance with the commitments made to the Client.

Main purpose of the position
- To grow sustainable SABC revenue and market share through the sale of News & Sports focused advertising, sponsorship and associated products, services and solutions across its portfolio of linear television channels and radio stations, digital media assets and SABC Plus.

Qualifications and experience
- A relevant degree NQF7 in Media, Marketing, Industrial Design, Art, Sales, Communication, Marketing, or a related field is required.
- Supplementary training or certifications in Creative Strategy, Digital Media, Integrated Marketing or Design Thinking will be a strong advantage.
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in media, digital, creative strategy, or commercial management, preferably within creative or media sales environments.
- Proven track record in leading creative teams and delivering integrated, revenue-generating advertising, marketing and sponsorship solutions across multimedia platforms.
- Supplementary qualifications in Creative Strategy, Media Innovation, Digital Marketing, or related fields are highly desirable.
- Experience and competency in the utilisation of MS Office (especially Word & PowerPoint) is essential
- Experience in DTP and the use of products such as Adobe photoshop / Illustrator etc is an advantage

Reporting to the Head: Financial Support Services:
- To efficiently and effectively manage the SABC Group Finance Shared Services Centre, ensuring accurate quality financial transactions and processing, within defined timeframes, legislation, and SABC financial policies and procedures, in order to provide world class service excellence and support to the SABC business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
BUSINESS OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY
- Manage the FSSC daily activities around the following,1) Vendor invoice processing, 2) Petty Cash, 3) Staff claims,4) Bank recons, 5) Group PR Office 6) Payments of Vendor invoices and Staff Customer claims.
- Proactively co-ordinate and prepare accurate and timeous monthly reports on (for example 1) Vendor payment requests, 2) outstanding GRIR’s, 3) Staff Customer Debt and 4) Vendor recons ) in order for management to make informed decisions.
- Continually communicate processing closing dates with all areas of Finance and the business, in order to ensure updated and accurate data processing

- To ensure that all equipment related to air-conditioning in the building and the maintenance thereof is kept up to the required standard, and according to health and safety regulations, in order to prevent cutting of services in broadcasting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out routine maintenance for the Refrigeration equipment as per schedule to equipment is kept in working order
- Do housekeeping and ensure log books are kept up-to-date
- Do installations, minor repairs and modifications to the refrigeration equipment e.g. fans, pumps, and air-conditioning plants, when necessary to ensure that the equipment works according to set standards
- On-the-job training of staff in basic skills to ensure that the department's work is done efficiently
- Braising and soldering of copper and various pipes to ensure there are no leaks on system
- Do standby 24 hours a day to be available when any of the facilities break down.
