    SAP Project Coordinator

    • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented SAP Project Coordinator to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. In this role, you will oversee and manage all SAP-related activities within the project lifecycle, ensuring accurate data integrity, smooth process execution, and full compliance with internal governance requirements.
    • You will work closely with Project Managers, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial Support teams to ensure that SAP transactions, documentation, and project controls are executed correctly and on time. Your expertise will be essential in supporting successful project delivery, maintaining cost accuracy, tracking progress, and enabling efficient workflow management.
    • You will report directly to the Project & Proposals Manager
    • This position is based in Cape Town

    TEAM YOU BELONG TO

    • You will be part of a dynamic and supportive Project Management & Commercial Support team that collaborates across Metso’s global network. You will work closely with project managers, finance controllers, supply chain teams, and technical stakeholders to ensure SAP data accuracy and strong administrative governance throughout each project.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Manage all SAP project creation, maintenance, and updates, including project structures (WBS), network activities, and cost allocations.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, and service entries in SAP.
    • Maintain and update project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting within SAP.
      Support Project Managers with SAP reporting, including cost reports, progress reports, milestone tracking, and schedule monitoring.
    • Coordinate documentation, workflows, and relevant approvals in SAP and related systems.
      Ensure all SAP transactions comply with internal governance, financial controls, and audit requirements.
    • Monitor project costs, commitments, and variances, highlighting risks or discrepancies proactively.
      Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement to ensure vendor information, quotations, and lead times are correctly reflected in SAP.
    • Track invoice progress, resolve discrepancies, and support vendor payment processes.
      Support contract administration by maintaining accurate SAP records for deliverables, changes, and project variations.
    • Assist project teams with SAP navigation, troubleshooting, and process guidance.
      Maintain project documentation libraries, ensuring all records are complete, current, and audit‑ready.
    • Participate in internal meetings and customer clarification sessions as required.
    • Contribute to standardization of SAP practices, templates, and workflow improvements.
    • Provide training or onboarding support for new team members in SAP project processes.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Strong working knowledge of SAP (PS, MM, FI/CO modules preferred).
    • Experience in project administration, project controls, or financial tracking is desirable.
    • Ability to read and understand basic engineering documentation advantageous.
    • Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Strong commercial and financial awareness.
    • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders.
    • High attention to detail, accuracy, and process discipline.

    WHAT SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS (HARD AND SOFT) ARE ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE?

    Contracts Manager

    • We are seeking a LCS Contracts Manager to join our LCS team. You will be responsible for providing Metso’s customers with professional technical support of its products. 
    • This position is responsible for providing Metso’s customers with professional technical support of its products. This position will coordinate and work closely with the Contracts Manager and the Customer to assure a common understanding/application of technical support and information to support and provide excellent customer service on Metso Equipment.
    • In this position, you will report to the Senior Manager Field Service & LCS, Southern Africa West, South Africa.
    • This position is mainly located in Kathu, Northern Cape

    TEAM YOU'LL BELONG TO

    • You will join a team of Technicians that strive to effectively deliver a seamless experience, that delivers a “technical solution” that meets the customer’s needs, thus supporting the sales team to, to enhance and build relationships with the downstream effect on sales realisation.
    • You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as LCS Support Centre to assure a common understanding/application of technical and safety support and information to support and provide excellent customer service on Metso’s equipment. 

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    You are responsible for the following per your allocated area of responsibility:

    • Assures customer and LCS team have access to high quality product and technical support provided in a time frame respectful of Metso’s customers’ sense of urgency.
    • Establishes best practice customer technical support services for Metso equipment.
    • Supports internal / external customers with technical information facilitating the successful completion of assigned activities, responsibilities, and service projects.
    • Identifies potential new product/spares offerings which result from the review and analysis of the process problem at hand.
    • Manage and oversee the health and safety of all employees working on site.
    • Need to conduct regular PTO’s and verify quality of risk assessments.
    • Effectively and accurately install, maintain and commissions Metso equipment.
    • Undertake effective and accurate repairs to Metso equipment and in accordance with Metso Standards.
    • Interpersonal skills are required as regular interaction and feedback is required with the customer.
    • Provide accurate instructions and training to customers’ plant personnel to ensure we maximize Metso products and services.
    • Must be able to effectively and accurately work in a fast-paced environment on several projects at one time, with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
    • As required, coordinates, prepares, analyzes and submits accurate and timely reports/feedback to the office. 
    • Planning of LCS Technicians available for jobs and inspection of completed jobs.
    • Ensuring that all relevant documentation relating to jobs are handed over to the customer timeously.
    • Overseeing and training of all personnel continuously.
    • Assisting with breakdowns after hours (parts and repairs if necessary).
    • Arranging of parts through expeditor to be delivered to site with relevant documentation.
    • Time keeping of all LCS personnel.
    • Ensuring always that Metso Standards are adhered to.
    • Positive customer relations and interpersonal skills are essential.
    • Experience and capabilities enable carrying out responsibilities with limited direction.
    • Special Projects as assigned by Manager.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Trades Papers in Fitting - Essential
    • Minimum 5 years’ field service experience on mining process equipment
    • High level of experience on Gyratory Crusher, cone crushers,
    • At least 5 years of Supervisory experience in the mining environment
    • High level of experience on hydraulic systems.
    • Computer Literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Strong knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety act.
    • Understanding and principles of customer relations and interaction
    • Ability to effectively communicate with a drive and performance orientation.
    • Ability to work in a team atmosphere.

    Key Account Manager

    • We are seeking for a Key Account Manager to join our LCS team. You will be responsible for providing Metso’s customers with professional technical support of its products. 
    • This position is responsible for building and maintaining an active long-term relationship with key decision makers at customer site level and continuously promote Metso’s value adding offering. Create a healthy business with high customer satisfaction.
    • In this position, you will report to the LCS Contracts Manager.

    This position is mainly located in Mogalakwena.

    TEAM YOU BELONG TO

    • You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as LCS Support Centre to assure a common understanding/application of technical and safety support and information to support and provide excellent customer service on Metso’s equipment. 

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    You are responsible for the following per your allocated area of responsibility:

    Engineering Oversight:

    • Manage and oversee all engineering activities within mining and concentrator operations.
    • Ensure optimal performance of Metso equipment including crushers, screens, pump, grinding mills, flotation and thickener machinery.
    • Constantly identify and development of opportunities to increase the service to the customer.

    Maintenance Management:

    • Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance strategies based on OEM specifications and best practices.
    • Conduct root cause failure analysis and ensure timely resolution of breakdowns.
    • Lead planned maintenance activities in line with customer policies and OEM best practices.

    Safety & Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all related safety regulations and Metso engineering standards.
    • Assist customer to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
    • Promote a safety-conscious working environment.

    Project & Budget Management:

    • Advise and consult on capital projects and engineering upgrades.
    • Present business plans and strategies to customer senior management.

    Team Leadership:

    • Lead a multidisciplinary team including sales, technical sales support, field services and project managers to effectively serve the customer.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship.

    Technical Documentation:

    • Maintain and update all technical drawings and manuals for Metso equipment.
    • Ensure documentation aligns with regulatory and operational standards.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Trade Test Certificate (Mechanical or millwright)
    • Advantageous to have a National Diploma or N6 in Engineering (Mechanical)

    Experience:

    • 8–10 years in mining engineering roles
    • Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or foreman position leading on maintenance practices
    • Experience with concentrator plants, especially on crushing and grinding circuits.
    • Experience on Metso equipment would be advantageous.

    Certifications:

    • GES Certificate
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Government Certificate of Competency (advantageous)
