    Portfolio Manager Acquiring Services

    Role Purpose

    The Portfolio Manager represents the business stakeholders and is the voice of the customer guiding individual DevOps teams, responsible for ensuring that the delivery team delivers value to the business according to the outcome vision
    Access the full suite of VFS payments products and services, that overlay traditional telco propositions to create value for customers  
    The Portfolio Manager will identify and recommend a portfolio of innovative acquiring products including QR, integrated POS and Tap on Phone payment methodologies and solutions that best fit requirements and needs of Vodacom customers across Customer and Enterprise business units  
    Through various stages of the product lifecycle, drive uptake and adoption of acquiring payments products and services across physical and digital channels. Whilst many of these channels already exist, the role requires the development of new channels, digital and physical 
    Ensure that all acquiring payment products and services delivered are best in class in terms of user experience when bench marked against industry best practices for user experience, both local and international 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Own, drive, and focus the team on delivery of business value and content
    • Co-ordinate and drive of all activities related to channel integration and go-to-market strategy to ensure that the strategy achieves the set objectives of i.e. profit growth, consumer adoption and expansion of market share 
    • Application of data analytics to design campaigns that drive digital adoption of Vodacom products and services 
    • Develop and define user stories / items and acceptance criteria from the feature and capability roadmap
    • Rank and prioritize user stories / items and add them to the team backlog for sprint development, conveying a clear vision of what is required to be built
    • Approve the final release plan and accept all deliverables against defined user stories and acceptance criteria
    • Analyse and report delivery risks and opportunities, and engage stakeholders for communications and decision-making
    • Participate in retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities
    • Acts as single point of business contact for internal and external stakeholders
    • Manage the financial plan for the delivery team, providing forecasts
    • To be responsible for regular monthly reporting to all stakeholders on the ongoing performance of payments products and services across the various channels and segments

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Product Management or other related field
    • A total of eight or more years’ experience of which at least 5 or more years are in the successful delivery in Product Ownership (or equivalent role) across full product lifecycles, from MVP to marketable products in iterations
    • Experience in successfully Leading and mentoring agile / DevOps teams in Large multi-team environments
    • Experience in agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), Test Driven Design and Behavioural Driven Design
    • Experience in successful delivery against financial / resource constraints
    • Experience with requirements definition and use case modelling

    Senior Specialist: Credit and Risk Decision

    Role Purpose

    Infinity Services Partner Company is a Managed Services Business, wholly owned by and a fully-fledged subsidiary of Vodacom . Infinity Services Partner Company is looking for a Senior Specialist: Credit and Risk Decision Science.The candidate will be responsible for a number of key (technical) initiatives which impacts multiple areas within the greater Credit and Risk division. Deliverables will include overseeing existing production processes (especially the Working Capital initiatives), advanced programming and statistical modelling. The candidate will also be required to conduct ongoing/proactive monitoring of the Replace post-paid portfolio through the use of advanced analytics in order to identify opportunities in terms of overall improvement (efficiency, cost, etc.) as well as those which will optimize the risk versus reward (revenue) dynamic of the base. The findings/learnings stemming from these activities should be presented (by the candidate) to mid/senior management in order to inform/influence future strategic decisions.  
    The mentoring of junior staff members is a key requirement of this role. 
     

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Conduct advance analytics and modelling relating to the following business themes within Credit and Risk:
    • Credit Vetting – Monitor and analyse Scorecards, Policy Rules and performance data for integrity concerns and opportunity.
    • Account Management - Manage the monthly account management processes by engaging with external stakeholders (vendors and credit bureaus), and ensure the overall integrity of the data and processes.
    • Working Capital Initiative – Run the monthly collections process for pay over to the respective banks. Assist with any ad hoc analysis/reporting required on this initiative and ensure the overall integrity of the data. Engage with external stakeholders (banks) on an ongoing basis. 
    • Bad-Debt Forecasting – generate periodic bad-debt forecast based on the input from Finance. 
    • Conduct proactive analysis to mitigate credit risk (i.e. segment deep-dives).
    • Recommend credit policy changes based on the insight obtained through advanced analytics. (across the credit life cycle).
    • Generate and maintain periodic reports on:
    • Credit limits
    • Working Capital Initiatives.
    • Summarizing findings, developing recommendations and presenting analyses to management in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Proficiency in Programming using various Statistical Modelling Packages (SAS, Python, R), with an ability to adapt to new methodologies/applications.
    • Working with and querying Big Data (SQL).
    • Extensive knowledge of Credit systems in general.
    • Effective Communication and Report writing.
    • Experience in the design and implementation of reporting dashboards (Shiny / Streamlit) will be an added benefit.
    • Mentoring Junior Staff Members.

    Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

    • Qualification and experience  – 
    • Degree in Computer Science (BSc, BCom, BIng), Industrial Engineering (BSc, BIng) or Statistics (BSc, BCom)
    • Preferably a post-graduate degree (Honours, Masters) in one of the above fields.
    • and/or
    • 3-5 years’ experience in quantitative modelling and analytics.
    • Extensive programming (Python, R, SAS) and data management (SQL) experience on a technical level
