    Executive Assistant M/F

    The Executive Assistant, based in Sandton (Johannesburg, South Africa), will have the following responsibilities:

    Diary management / coordination & Administration

    • Planning and organization of extensive travel schedule
    • Planning and organization of daily and monthly schedule/agenda of Country Manager:
    • Management, organization, and optimization of the diaries
    • Meetings and other commitments scheduling
    • Team meetings, workshops etc. as required
    • Follow-up of monthly and quarterly reporting of all Managers, Asset Owners etc. , scheduling, agenda management, meeting minutes, documentation, etc.
    • Document development, review and amendment, namely for Monthly and Quarterly Reports in the appropriate format
    • Implementation and maintenance of contacts registration database
    • Interfacing with the broader teams for coordination meetings
    • Supporting the Country Manager various reports and any other related items

    Business travel

    • Requesting flights and travels logistics for Country Manager
    • Monitoring travel costs and periodical reporting for the South African team
    • Monitoring travel roster of team members and ensuring adherence to the travel policy

    Communication

    • Coordinating communication efforts to the internal stakeholders (local team)

    Financial

    • Assisting in the preparation of reports i.e. track spend vs budget
    • Collecting and updating of monthly cash flow request from various Business Lines’s
    • Follow up of all Request for Commitment requests, PO requests, collection of signatures, registration of documents etc.

    General

    • Supporting BL’s Senior Managers as and when required
    • Providing high level support and coordinating with Office Management team in Cape Town
    • Any ad hoc task as required from time to time 

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Matric (Grade 12) qualification mandatory
    • Related certification / course advantageous
    • Previous experience in a renewable energy or related environment a distinct advantage
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role essential
    • Proficient in MS office tools (Power Point, Excel, Word, Visio…etc) essential
    • Fluent in English

    Intern - EPC M/F

    Our Intern for Voltalia South Africa’s office in Cape Town, will have the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):

    • Comply with the Employer’s workplace policies and procedures;
    • Assist and manage project data management to share with Owners Engineers;
    • Assist with evaluation of proposals required for project Construction activities;
    • Assist with project reporting and drafting project presentations and reports;
    • Assisting in Document management and updating trackers.
    • Compiling Minutes of meetings;
    • General Administration;
    • Site Inspections;
    • Assisting in review and confirmation of as build information;
    • Assisting the Project manager in updating project control information;

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Completed appropriate degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or a related field;

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) essential;
    • Ability to work flexible hours;
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
    • South African Citizen with valid SA ID.

    Senior Project Developer M/F

    As a Senior Project Developer, your main responsibilities are:

    • Spearhead project development to Identify, develop and evaluate new and existing projects opportunities for solar, wind, storage, and hybrid technologies in South-Africa;
    • Identify and secure land rights, grid connection feasibility, lead permitting and all authorizations until Financial Close using GIS and other tools, assisting in the project development process;
    • Manage the day-to-day activities and contacts for the project, including subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers;
    • Ensure the technical and commercial feasibility of the project and propose measures to reduce risk, time, and cost of implementation;
    • Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules;
    • Ensure the implementation of the projects development in line with the Company objectives and targets;
    • Work in close cooperation and contact with the Development Manager;
    • Ensure that projects are developed on-time, within budget and compliant;
    • Work in close collaboration with Internal Departments;
    • Perform risk management to minimize project and development risks;
    • Manage and report on time all changes in project scope, schedule, and costs;
    • Report and escalate to Development Manager & Steering Committee as needed;
    • Manage the relationship with internal and external stakeholders;
    • Create, store and maintain comprehensive project documentation;
    • Prepare presentations and reports for Steering Committee, International Development team and Controlling;
    • Maintain and promote values, strength and reputation of company and its business lines in markets of responsibility.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business, or related major;
    • Post-graduation or specialization in project Management is a plus;
    • More than 5 years working as a Project Developer in South Africa;
    • Prior experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus;
    • Experience in interacting with external stakeholders in a professional environment;
    • Advanced user of Project Management tools;
    • English and other language a plus.

    Renewable Energies Engineer M/F

    The main responsibilities of the Renewable Energies Engineer are:

    • Provide engineering support in South Africa and regional project;
    • Provide technical support to projects in development, construction or operation (layout, sizing, Energy Yield Assessment, technical/cost analysis, electrical design, etc…) for internal and external clients;
    • Support the Asset Owner at each stage: Investment Proposal, Construction, Repowering, etc…
    • Provide technical support in different stages of the project (development, commercial/bid and construction phases);
    • Analyze technical information received for a specific project (including RFP/RFQ and tenders) and evaluate its impact in the electrical design of the project;
    • Perform technical descriptions, technical calculations, technical specifications, drawings for project licensing, EPC and execution;
    • Make technical assessment and support site surveys;
    • Contact suppliers for technical discussion of existing and/or alternative solutions, or under technical arrangements to electrical infrastructure.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Master’s degree or Degree in Electrical/ Electrotechnical Engineering (preferred), graduated from recognized leading Engineering School
    • 5-7 years minimum experience in engineering/renewable
    • Good skills in CAD tools and simulation tools (PVSys, WaSP, WindPRO)
    • Minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in electrical projects
    • Photovoltaic projects of more than 10MW are valued
    • Complete knowledge of regulatory framework
    • Good local network with external players in the sector and good analytical skills

    Languages:

    • English: Fluent
    • Local languages, French or Portuguese are a plus
