    Cloud Support Engineer - Developer and Mobile Services

    •  On a typical day, a Support Engineer will be primarily responsible for solving customer’s cases through a variety of customer contact channels which include telephone, email, and web/live chat. You will apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions for our customers and drive customer interactions by thoughtfully working with customers to dive deep into the root cause of an issue.
    •  Apart from working on a broad spectrum of technical issues, an AWS Support Engineer may also coach/mentor new hires, develop & present training, partner with development teams on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives, participate in new hiring, write tools/script to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    The DMS role supports AWS mobile technologies (Cognito, Device Farm, Pinpoint, etc.) and Serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, Step functions, etc.). Mobile Services and Serverless Architectures are some of the fastest growing areas of technology and we're excited to help developers innovate and deliver amazing experiences.

    •  5+ years Advanced knowledge and experience in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, Javascript, .NET, PHP, Ruby
    •  Advanced Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and/or distributed systems.
    •  Exposure to Serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway , AWS IoT or Mobile and Messaging technologies or AI (Artificial Intelligence) related technologies
    •  Experience with REST API based services.
    •  Experience with web-based applications and HTTP.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Experience with System Administration with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server and associated technologies (Active Directory, Exchange).
    •  Experience in Networking technologies including DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, DHCP and Load Balancing.
    •  Experience with Network troubleshooting tools (telnet, test-netconnection, tracert, tracetcp, iperf, ntttcp, dig, and packet capture tools).
    •  Experience with programming/scripting (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby and/or PHP).
    •  Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills and experience.

    Sr. Software Dev Engineer

    DESCRIPTION
    This position is inside the Cloud Manager Team, which owns the services responsible for the transactions of creating, modifying, and terminating EC2 Instances. The team is also responsible for driving instances to their intended state, as well as the contract with instance resources such as EBS Volumes and AMIs. We're thus a pivotal team in EC2, and we're hiring!

    If successful, you will be responsible for the development and operation of core EC2 control-plane infrastructure that launches hundreds of thousands of EC2 instances every day and manages millions of resources. As a Software Development Engineer in this team you will contribute to a wide range of projects in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment. You will become part of an industry-leading engineering team solving challenging problems at massive scale.

Our team is innovating for the Amazonian, making the interaction with IT Support as smooth as possible. We achieve this through multiple mechanisms which eliminate root causes altogether, automate issue resolution or point customers towards the optimal troubleshooting steps for their situation. We deliver the support solutions plus the end-user content with instructions to help them self-serve.     In our team, engineers have the opportunity to contribute to the complete vertical stack of an SOA based system, which is horizontally connected to most systems in the larger Amazon ecosystem. Our SDEs use a variety of open source technologies, native AWS services as well as services internal to AWS.     Position Overview

    • Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) is a service for self-publishing books to the Amazon Kindle store. The KDP Support Specialist will be the front line interface between Amazon and publishers/content providers who use the KDP tool to upload content they want to put up for sale on the Kindle store. The KDP Support Specialist will work towards ensuring all the concerns from the publishers are duly attended to such that the system works smoothly.     Position Responsibilities

    •  Process and Respond to emails and/or phone calls received from publishers in English and Portuguese

    •  Work with publishers that their content has been removed
    •  Maintain and improve a knowledge base with unique publisher requests and their solutions
    •  Work on developing standard responses for common questions

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Proven Englsih and Portuguese verbal and written fluency skills.
    •  1+ years of previous experience in a contact center environment.
    •  Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with external/internal parties
    •  Proven ability to understand complex issues

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Proficiency en MS Office package (Excel, Word) and HTML
    •  Strong analytical skills. Must be able to understand problems that vendors are facing, categorize, document, and decide on course of action on when and to whom to escalate
    •  Detail oriented and process focused. Must be able to follow the process and document interactions as per requirements in clear and concise manner
    •  Experience in a technical support process, especially for web enabled software products or services
