    Manager:Operational Information Management & Analytics - Rosebank

    Education & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mining/Business or IT related fields

    General knowledge / Experience

    • 7+ years in a corporate IT environment
    • 7+ years' experience with Microsoft reporting and analytics solutions
    • 7+ years' experience delivering new platforms and applications.
    • Business experience at operations and/or in a technical mining function will be an advantage.
    • Azure platforms experience (beneficial) 

    Technical knowledge & skills

    • Ability to link potential business value, or improved risk mitigation to future solutions or changes in approach.
    • Working knowledge of functional and mining processes
    • Ability to speak the language of the relevant business unit customers, including displaying solid knowledge of business processes and typical challenges.
    • Ability to navigate through divergent and conflicting views of senior stakeholders and achieve alignment in the best interests of the company.
    • Attention to detail regarding numbers and trends.
    • Strong background/knowledge on Microsoft technology stack – SQL Server, PowerBI, PowerApps etc.
    • Strong change and configuration (code and config) management background in order to ensure stable end user experiences.
    • Strong technical knowledge around ETL, Cubes, Hierarchies, drill downs, roll ups, in-memory compute etc.
    • Strong Information Management experience in – structured and unstructured data, records management, taxonomies, data and record life cycle management, data lakes etc.
    • Must have passion for content, data and information management.
    • Agent of change, willing to challenge the status quo, and propose new solutions to old problems.
    • Ability to facilitate business continuity scenarios, via the recovery of platforms and applications.
    • Track record delivering analytic and master data value-based outcomes.
    • Strong experience leading and managing suppliers and associated contracts. 

    Role Accountabilities

    • Develop and maintain a set of Information Management and Analysis platforms that contribute to business enablement & effectiveness and is based on functionality that optimally enables operational technology users at all levels in AGA to both report on, as well as analyze data, and maintain agreed reports, dashboards, and analytics.
    • Ensure governance is adhered to in line with Corporate Information Management and Analytics governance and standards.
    • Collaborate with DT peers on the selection, implementation, and upgrade of the business's information management platforms.
    • Keep abreast of industry and vendor developments in information management and analytics in order to influence company, customer and peer strategy.
    • Within the operational technology space, lead discussions with senior stakeholders and their teams on all information management and analytics system matters including monitoring, governing, support take-ons and Service Level Agreement management.
    • Cultivate strong and productive relationships with all stakeholders in the group and appropriate senior leaders in order to provide a single point of contact and accountability for the services provided, including sustainment, material change and strategic positioning.
    • Deliver new platforms and solutions for operational technology information management and analytics, ensuring full earned value, based on expectations and plans.
    • Analyse complex requirements and make recommendations to the VP OT Platforms and Services and Senior Manager: Information Management and Analytics for technical solutions, ensuring that these solutions are aligned with the overall business vision, mission, and direction.
    • Cooperate with and maintain records of compliance related to the DT risk and change management processes.
    • Accountable to take all necessary actions to ensure compliance with required governance in his/her area of accountability. i.e SOX activities, segregation of duties, access control to platforms (such as ARP)
    • Effective management of Commercial contracts related to the area, in conjunction with the Strategy and Governance group and supply chain.
    • Effective management of Incidents/Requests/Changes/Problems/Config/Capacity/Event etc.
    • Ensure alignment between other groups and sites to capitalize on effort expended on each individual site.

    Senior Manager: Processing, Asset Management & Maintenance Technology

    Objective 

    • The role holder will be accountable to ensure that Digital Technology (DT) provides reliable and resilient Operational Technology (OT) applications and platforms for the Processing, Asset Management & Maintenance Technology functions, with mature global services, including help desk support, sustainment, material change projects and strategic positioning.  The role holder to develop and maintain relationships with all internal stakeholders to ensure business leaders in Processing, Asset Management & Maintenance Technology functions have a single point of contact for their information technology requirements, including roadmaps, project definition, sustainability, support, etc. for digital technology integration into the business, which will allow the organisation to make better decisions, supported with the right process, and with the right data at the right time

    Education & Qualifications 

    • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, metallurgy, or related fields 

    General knowledge / Experience

    • 8+ years in mining industry, including site and regional/corporate experience.
    • Project management experience delivering new platforms and applications.
    • Experience with Processing, Asset Management & Maintenance Technology systems.
    • Experience leading and managing suppliers and associated contracts.
    • Leadership experience

    • Ability to build a strong network and relationships with customers, peers and vendor groups.
    • Must be able to be responsive when business priorities dictate, occasionally at inconvenient times.
    • Ability to mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others.
    • Ability to multi-task, and manage competing priorities effectively in a changing environment and within defined timelines.

    • Ensure effective governance on projects and report on groupwide project performance according to PMO standards. 
    • Keep abreast of industry and vendor developments in order to influence company, customer and peer strategy.
    • Lead discussions with senior stakeholders and their teams on all functional system matters including monitoring, governing, support take-ons and Service Level Agreement management.
    • Cultivate strong and productive relationships with the Processing, Asset Management & Maintenance Technology functions groups and appropriate senior leaders in order to provide a single point of contact and accountability for the services provided, including sustainment, material change, strategic positioning, and governance.
    • Ensure excellent customer service provided by the group, in a transparent and accountable manner.
    • Effective management of Commercial contracts related to the area, in conjunction with the Strategy and Governance group.
