    Business Analyst

    What You Will Do

    As a Business Analyst you will provide analytical and operational support for the BankservAfrica business’s products and services. This role primarily provides skill in investigating, analyzing and optimizing business models, operating models and business processes to support all BankservAfrica products and services. The business analyst is involved in the design and delivery of business solutions, from conceptualization to implementation.

    You will engage with the following stakeholders:

    • Product/business owners
    • Enterprise Project Management Office
    • Finance
    • Service Centre, Service Desk, ICT
    • Legal, Risk and Compliance

    Your key responsibilities include

    • Engagement with internal and external clients and stakeholders to gather, understand and document business requirements or changes
    • Development of effective proposals and presentations to communicate, justify and motivate designs and solution and innovation approaches
    • Execute feasibility and viability assessments of proposed products or services
    • Compile product and service strategies for identified products
    • Monitor and report on strategies implemented.
    • Design business and operating models for new products and services to ensure efficacy, efficiency and professional service level achievement
    • Develop business plans for initiating a new product or service through to launch and rollout
    • Monitor progress of the rollout plan and suggest adjustments where necessary
    • Analyse solution to ensure that the product or service fulfills the original requirements and that the business processes and operating model are being followed.

    Qualifications / Knowledge

    • Undergraduate qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Business Studies
    • Diploma in Business Analysis from an IIBA endorsed education provider and advantage
    • Computer literacy
    • Advanced knowledge of the BABOK is an advantage
    • SDLC methodology knowledge

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in related field

    • Solution evaluation
    • Process analysis

    Programmer

    What You Will Do

    You will be joining our Application Maintenance and Support - Delivery and Web team as a As a Programmer reporting into the Manager Delivery and Web. You will primarily be accountable for creating and modifying computer programs by converting project requirements into code. Good communication and time management skills, learning agility, broad technical experience and being team player combined with your technical capabilities are key attributes for this role

    You will engage with the following stakeholders:

    • Financial institutions
    • Product Owners
    • Enterprise Project Management Office
    • BSVA Service Centre
    • External and internal technical teams

    Your key responsibilities include:

    • Confirm, arrange and encode project requirements by converting work flow diagrams into computer language
    • Conduct unit tests and modify code where applicable
    • Draft user operating instructions coded in a chosen programming language.

    Qualifications / Knowledge

    • Diploma or degree in Computer Science would be advantageous
    • Knowledge in Java, .Net Frameworks and XML
    • Good knowledge on Java, C++, MySQL and Oracle.
    • Experience with core AWS services would be preferential.
    • Working knowledge on Angular based application deployment and JBOSS application
    • Good background in Linux/Unix administration.

    Experience

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in development
    • Experience with building or maintaining cloud-native applications preferential.
    • Domain knowledge in the financial sector would be advantageous.
