    Supply Chain Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage the end-to-end forecast process, with the various stakeholders across the value chain
    • Oversee stock takes, manage stock transfers, and proactively handle stock disposal
    • Track vessels, manage inbound stock, and reconcile purchase orders
    • Handle PR/PO creation, invoice submissions, and manage non-conformance management
    • Prepare weekly stock reports, monthly health of inventory reports, and manage NCM reporting
    • Lead and develop a team of Customer Service Operators, ensuring efficient order processing
    • Identify process/system efficiencies, meet deadlines, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics Management
    • Min. 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, specializing in demand planning and inventory management
    • Proven leadership and team management skills
    • SAP experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Good proficiency in English and effective communication skills
    • Strong ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and multitask

    HR Business Partner

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The successful incumbent will be responsible for partnering with the business to ensure HR practices align with business operations and objectives, positioning people as the key enabler for delivering the business strategy.

    Duties will include the following:

    • Collaborate with business leadership and stakeholders to understand operational impacts, key employee-related trends/issues and offer proactive HR solutions
    • Act as a liaison between HR hubs and the business, ensuring effective communication and coordination between the two
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop recruitment plans, identify training needs, and provide coaching support for continuous learning
    • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, offering professional counselling for HR matters
    • Identify and address training needs aligned with business objectives, supporting succession planning, and coordinating training and development efforts
    • Coordinate employee surveys, analyze results, and provide actionable feedback for wellness initiatives
    • Implement optional elements of global Employee Development policy, support talent reviews and documentation, and manage HR matters for young talent
    • Support employees in applying global compensation policies, including adherence to BASF guidelines, job grading, and effective performance management
    • Streamline recruitment processes for fair and timely hiring, considering the EE Plan, while guiding managers on talent agenda ownership, development, succession planning, and diversity
    • Ensure accurate HR data, timely headcount reporting, efficient admin functions, and active participation in BASF's BBBEE Strategy and EE committee

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration/human resources or an equivalent qualification
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a HR Business Partner, specializing in HR capability building
    • Demonstrate expertise in engaging groups, facilitating sessions, and driving organizational change
    • Possess a thorough understanding of relevant in-country legislation such as SA – COIDA, BCEA, LRA, EEA, Skills Dev Act, UIF, etc.
    • Have a background in organizational development and the ability to effectively engage with leaders

    Quality Control Laboratory Intern - Amanzimtoti

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The successful incumbent will be responsible for work under the supervision of the QC Lab Technician in providing analytical service to the production and logistics departments at the BASF South Africa, Dispersion Plant at Umbogintwini industrial Complex whilst complying to the site, BASF Safety, Environment, and Quality requirements.

    Duties will include the following:

    • Conducting rigorous testing of production samples to ensure quality and consistency
    • Maintaining a meticulous schedule for equipment service, internal verification, and external  calibration to uphold accuracy and precision
    • Efficiently managing laboratory consumables to avoid any disruptions in the testing process
    • Ensuring laboratory housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work environment
    • Analyzing production results to identify trends and make suggestions for process improvements
    • Generating certificates of analysis (COA) and comprehensive logistics documentation to facilitate smooth operations
    • Adhering strictly to BASF's Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) guidelines and Quality Management System (QMS) requirement

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Completed S4 level theory in a National Diploma: Analytical Chemistry program
    • Demonstrates attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks

    Customs Clearing and Forwarding Site Administrator - Amanzimtoti

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and tracing imported materials, managing internal customer communications while ensuring compliance with BASF Trade control, transport safety requirements, ISO standards, as well as responsible care practices.

    Duties will include the following: 

    • Tracking, tracing, and managing all imported materials and acting as the key contact with nominated Customs Clearance agent/LSP
    • Regularly communicating the status of shipments to manage internal customer expectations
    • Receiving, checking, and preparing full documentation pack required for import customs clearance and providing it to LSP
    • Handling all customs and foreign trade related queries as well as monthly VAT due reporting to Finance
    • Creating PR/PO and maintaining them for courier service providers, including reconciling invoices and goods receipts
    • Managing the airfreight process, including tracking, delivery management, cost allocation, invoice  reconciliation, as well as handling the Styrene MMA accommodation account
    • Perform administrative duties, ensuring smooth operations and collaborating with Inventory controller at Terminals and Warehouse 3rd Party service providers
    • Utilize reporting skills to analyze large data sets, identify optimization opportunities, track trends, and contribute actively to project goals and objectives

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Supply Chain environment, preferably within the chemical industry
    • Minimum of 5 years' work experience in a Production environment
    • Strong focus on Customs clearing processes and a deep understanding of INCO terms
    • Clear understanding of the requirements in both the importing and exporting countries  
    • Extensive knowledge and proficiency in SAP system
    • Advanced Excel skills to effectively analyze and process data
