    Driver Code 8 - Industrial Sales Department

    Job Description

    • Purpose: The purpose of this job is to assure that goods are delivered accurately and punctually in good condition as expected by the customer.  This will include dealing with customers, staff from all branches, monitoring the loading and offloading of transfers and making sure that the delivery vehicle is in good condition by doing daily check-up of the vehicle and providing good customer service.  This will result in customer satisfaction and generate sales promoting the business and creating sustainable growth and profit margins.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide good customer service
    • Completing of daily trip sheets (opening/closing km, departure/arrival times)
    • Completing a daily pre-trip inspection of your vehicle to ensure basic roadworthy standards. (indicating on trip sheet)
    • Reporting any defect on your vehicle to your Supervisor (completing of vehicle repair report)
    • Ensure that the truck assistants are with the truck at all times.
    • Plan and ensure with the most efficient route to your customer
    • Ensure all out going stock have the relevant documentation before being loaded.
    • Ensure all transferred documents are recorded in your logbook.
    • Ensure the transfer logbook is signed by the branch who receives the stock.
    • Ensure all stock are delivered in excellent condition
    • Hand in weekly evaluation reports to your Supervisor.
    • Reporting any delay at branches to your Supervisor.
    • Report to your Supervisor at the end of the day
    • Participate in perpetual stock takes.
    • Perform any work-related tasks delegated by superior

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric or Equivalent
    • Candidates with no Matric that have a valid license and have 3 years driving experience will be considered for the position
    • 1 year driving experience
    • Code 8 Drivers Licence (higher code would be advantage)
    • PDP (Public Driving Permit: Goods and Passengers)
    • Ability to handle pressure
    • Monitoring skills
    • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
    • Ability to read & communicate on high level
    • Must be able to understand the loading of vehicles
    • Planning, time management & organizing skills

    Controller

    Job Description

    • Purpose: The purpose of this job is to ensure that service standards are met and that customer issues are resolved; this can be achieved through accurate checking of invoices. This will result in securing that an actual item purchased corresponds with the customers receipt, in order to avoid losses.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure that the actual item/s purchased corresponds with the customers receipt ensuring that the correct goods leave the premises
    • Ensure that the item purchased is correctly scanned
    • Keep record of inter branch sales
    • Greet customers in a friendly manner as they enter and exit the store
    • Monitor checkout stations (and self-service in stores with this feature) for cashier performance and needs by superior
    • Avoid duplications of to follow items
    • Participate in perpetual stocktakes
    • Ensure housekeeping of work area according to company standards
    • Perform any work-related tasks as delegated by Superior

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric or x3 Completed Intercept courses equating to total of 120 credits
    • Grade C in security (advantage)
    • 2 years previous experience in a similar role

    Stock Coordinator - Receiving

    Job Description

    • Purpose: The purpose of this job is, to manage the day-to-day maintenance of stock levels within the inventory parameters on the stock system and monitor merchandising and housekeeping standards of stock on shelves in such a way that stock discrepancies are reduced in order to minimize losses. In addition this includes ensuring that stock corresponds with stock on hand that’s recorded on the stock system used and investigate issues that arise in such a manner it ensure the continuous availability of stock

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Investigate stock transfers errors in various departments as well as liaise with the stock controllers across the relevant branches to check stock on hands against computer stock.
    • Liaise with the stock controller on a daily basis where there are stock discrepancies in the departments after investigations was done and have the stock adjusted accordingly.
    • Assist the stock controller with the checking of credits and faulty good returned from the various branches.
    • Ensure spot checks are done on department stock takes done by the various departments in the Distribution Centre.
    • Comply with Health and Safety standards
    • Participate in perpetual stock takes.
    • Ensure housekeeping of work area.
    • Perform any work-related tasks as delegated by superior.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric or 3x Completed Intercept courses equating to total of 120 credits
    • Candidates with no Matric but have a NQF 4 stock management course at minimum 54 credits will be considered
    • 3 years in stock related function
    • 2 years experience in the industry
    • Brights Induction (service excellence)
    • In-house entry level merchandising standards
    • Demonstrate 95% accuracy in stock counts
    • Ability to handle pressure
    • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written)
    • Completed merchandising training
    • Planning, time management & organising skills
    • Policy and procedure driven
    • Accuracy, discipline and motivation
