    Audit Manager

    Purpose Statement

    • To assist the Divisional Manager to manage the Internal Audit function for Business Development & Technology Services, to ensure it adds value to the organisation (group of companies) and its stakeholders by providing objective and relevant assurance and by contributing to the effectiveness of the governance and control processes.

    Experience

    Min:

    • At least 5 years’ as an Internal Auditor (IT) and performing the full spectrum of IT audits

    • At least 2 years’ managerial experience in managing a team of 5 or more

    Ideal:

    • Practice experience in annual audit planning

    • Practical experience using data analytics

    • Practical experience using COBIT or other relevant frameworks

    • Internal audit (IT) experience in the Banking and/or Financial sector

    • Practical experience in growing and developing internal audit skills and teams

    Qualifications (Minimum)

    • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

    • A relevant degree in Commerce or Information Systems Auditing (CISA)

    Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

    • Certification in Information Systems Auditing (CISA) or Control Risk Self-Assessments (CCSA)

    • Certified Internal Auditor in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

    Knowledge

    Min:

    • Business acumen

    • Able to draft balance sheet/ income statement

    • Internal audit standards and processes

    • Understanding of the South African banking regulatory landscape

    • Risk management principles

    • GAAP and GAAS proficiency in accounting principles and techniques in working with financial reports

    • Business products, processes, policies and systems

    • Management principles to recognise and evaluate the materiality and significance of deviations from good business practice

    • The fundamentals of accounting, economics, commercial law, taxation, finance, quantitative methods and information technology

    • Data analysis

    Credit Manager

    Purpose Statement

    • To minimise the risk of loss through bad debts, and maximise profits for the business through effective execution of credit application, evaluation and approval processes, and ensuring the quality of credit risks across the portfolio is maintained. 

    • To interact with other areas of the bank and acting as a catalyst in ensuring compliance with agreed risk parameters as set out in the Bank’s strategy.

    Experience

    Minimum: 

    • At least 5 years Credit Management experience across Personal and Business markets 

    • Current Person-to-holder Credit Mandate

    Specialist: Exchange Control Advisory and Reporting

    Purpose Statement

    • To manage and control the Exchange Control (EXCON) function for Business Bank in line with regulatory and compliance requirements whilst also efficiently servicing client needs.

    • To liaise with the South African Reserve Bank (“SARB”), Exchange Control Department on behalf of Business Bank.

    Experience

    Minimum:

    • At least 2 years Exchange Control experience as a specialist with direct interaction with the SARB 

    • Holding accountability for regulatory compliance in an exchange control environment

    • Providing exchange control guidance and advice to different levels in an organisation, able to support appropriately

    Ideal:

    • Interacting with external Exchange Control stakeholders e.g. SARB

    Qualifications (Minimum)

    • National Diploma in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Accounting - Management Accounting
