    Financial Accountant

    Job Description


    Are you a skilled and driven finance professional looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic and thriving environment? Look no further! We're seeking a highly motivated Management Accountant to join our exceptional team and play a pivotal role in our company's financial success.

    Purpose of the Role:

    • Gathering financial data to ensure that all financial transactions are valid, accurate and complete on a monthly basis.
    • Ensuring compliance with IFRS and SARS, CIPC and other relevant legislation/regulations.
    • Accurate financial processing in preparation of monthly Trial Balance.

    The Deal Breakers (minimum requirements):

    • 3-5 years’ experience as a management accountant / similar role in an operational finance team
    • Completed articles Proven work experience as a Financial Management Accountant or similar role
    • Solid knowledge of accounting regulation standards
    • Solid knowledge of the South African tax legal framework (i.e., income tax, VAT, PAYE, etc.)
    • Solid knowledge of other relevant South African legislation and regulations (i.e., Companies Act, B-BBEE, CIPC, etc.)Practical experience in processing SARS submissions, CIPC returns and other submissions to relevant regulatory bodies
    • Prior experience with MS Dynamics Business Central would be an advantage, but is not required

    What does the role entail? (Areas of responsibilities):

    Fixed Asset Register:

    • Process all additions on a monthly basis.
    • Process disposals on a monthly basis.
    • Run depreciation and amortisation for month end.
    • Ensure fixed asset register reconciles to GL.
    • Ensure tax register is updated monthly.
    • Conduct annual impairment testing on intangible assets

    Cashbook:

    • Ensure all cashbooks are processed daily/weekly.
    • Bank reconciliations performed weekly with no variances.
    • Accuracy of cashbook allocations.
    • Unallocated payments or receipts resolved timeously

    Value Added Tax:

    • Calculation of accurate output and input tax values based on value added tax act.
    • Prepare Vat reconciliation to GL.
    • Ensure VAT is captured on efiling and submitted before submission deadline.
    • Ensure SARS receives payment before deadline.
    • Prepare necessary documents requested by SARS for Audit

    Payments:

    • In consultation and with support from Creditors Team Lead:
    • Load supplier payments
    • Load merchant fraud refunds
    • Provide proof of payments as required
    • Review of banking details for payments
    • Ensure that there is sufficient cash available for payments
    • Ensure merchant deposits are allocated to the correct wallet IDs

    Reconciliation:

    • Prepare all balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Ensure reconciling items are resolved timeously

    Journal Entries:

    • Process all monthly journal entries timeously to ensure month end close deadlines are achieved.

    General Ledger Review:

    • Perform detailed review of all GL accounts to ensure completeness.
    • Correction of allocations between GL’s.
    • Review costs against budget to understand variances.
    • Process/reverse provisions and accruals where necessary

    Budgeting:

    • Assist in the annual budgeting process.
    • Ensure all costs are budgeted for accurately.
    • Assist in balance sheet and working capital budgets

    Annual Audit:

    • Assist in the annual audit process.
    • Provide supporting documents requested by external auditors timeously

    Income Tax:

    • Calculate accurate Income Tax values based on Income Tax Act.
    • Prepare deferred tax asset/liability and reconcile to GL.
    • Conduct annual impairment testing on deferred tax asset.
    • Ensure provisional Income Tax returns are captured on e-Filing and submitted before submission deadline.
    • Ensure SARS receives payment before deadline.
    • Prepare necessary documents requested by SARS for audit

    Other Statutory Reporting:

    • Assist in executing against the company’s B-BBEE strategy with the support of the Finance Operations Manager and 3rd party advisors (i.e., provide supporting reporting and data points to key stakeholders, ratings agencies, etc.).
    • Assist in timeous EE & WSP reporting on an annual basis (i.e., provide supporting reporting and data points to key stakeholders, Dept. of Labour, SETA etc.).
    • Assist in annual CIPC submissions processed by 3rd party company secretary

     

    Qualifications

    • BCom Accounting Degree/Post Graduate Diploma
    • CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA or equivalent

    Field Sales Specialist - Free State

    Job Description

    So, what will you do?

    You will be responsible for growing the iKhokha customer base and be accountable to hit steep sales targets in the Free State with focus on Bloemfontein and Welkom.

    You will actively source and find new sales opportunities, build pipeline and most importantly, close deals.

    Deal Breakers:

    • Minimum 3 year’s Field/Outbound Sales experience.
    • Previous exposure working within merchant services or banking sector is advantageous.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Intermediate knowledge using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sales Software & CRM.
    • FICA training advantageous.
    • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport is essential.

    Additional Skills & Knowledge:

    • Proven track record delivering on sales targets and successfully dealing with customer relationships.
    • Advanced knowledge of Sales funnel & pipeline management.

    What would you be responsible for?

    • Prospect and canvass for new customers in targeted areas and targeted industries
    • Post-sale call and follow ups, logging all activity and demos with clients
    • Promotional or new product upsell/cross sell/service calls
    • Research new sales leads, plan country trips and execute plans to acquire new customers
    • Ensure all set company Gross Profit, Device sales and Demo targets are achieved on a monthly & quarterly basis
    • Complete feedback loops as required which includes Swarm and demo feedback and HubSpot usage and deal pipeline management
    • Provide proactive feedback regarding suggested changes or improvements to sales or service procedures that could improve the business.
    • Sign-up merchants and assist them with FICA documentation required
    • Complimentary follow up visits
    • Full focus on specialized campaigns and reporting in detail on this such as top merchant campaign or area targeted campaigns
    • Uphold company standards and values at all times when representing the brand
    • Monitor competition in the marketplace and share any relevant insights
    • Take full ownership and accountability for resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, offering solutions and making recommendations to management
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing self and shared learning.
