CRITICAL OUTPUTS

• Assess billing information and ensure correctness.

• Effective problem identification by utilizing the age analysis.

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12
• A degree or diploma will be advantageous
• 2-3 Years' experience within office administration environment
• Previous experience within the healthcare industry advantageous
• GoodX system experience will be advantageous
• Computer proficiency essential
• MS Office 365 experience will be advantageous

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide efficient, friendly and professional telephone services in patient care.
• Assist patients in accurately completing appropriate forms, and document all information in accordance to internal policies and procedures.
• Responsible for all processes related to the reception-patient journey, e.g. booking, arrival and payment of patient on the relevant system.
• Direct all customers to the appropriate location, services and Professional.
• Ensure patient confidentiality at all times according to POPIA.
• Ensure that the reception area is always neat and tidy.
• Refer all emergency cases to the nurse’s station according to protocol.
• Assist patients with basic account queries and escalate as necessary.
• Collect all co-payments and account balances according to Intercare policies and procedures.
• Execute and adhere to daily cash-up and banking processes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum qualification: Grade 12.
• Previous experience in a customer focused service environment, e.g. reception, will be advantageous.
• Computer proficient.
• GoodX system experience will be advantageous.
• Registered as a Dental Assistant with HPCSA

CRITICAL OUTPUTS

• Assisting the Medical Practitioner in the pre-screening, treatment and care of patients.
• Assist Medical Reception in the prioritizing of medical emergencies.
• Actively maintain stock management processes.
• Participate in monthly stock cycle counts.
• Maintain emergency trolley in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• When scheduled to work, act as the responsible person after hours to ensure smooth operations and escalate to the practice manager as and when required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum: Grade 12.
• Diploma/Degree in nursing leading to qualification as Enrolled Nurse. 
• 2-3 years’ experience within a clinical environment a must.
• Computer proficiency (MS Office) essential.
• SANC Registration as an Enrolled Nurse.

CRITICAL OUTPUTS

• Effectively manage operational expenses including but not limited to staffing and consumables.
• Manage and implement sound patient flow in the nursing department.
• Ensure that nursing care is in line with all Intercare standards and SANC protocols and scope of practice.
• Implement and communicate revised / new operational processes to all staff members.
• Ensure that the disposal of medical waste and human tissue is in accordance to legislation.
• Ensure effective maintenance of schedule 5 - 7 drug registers in accordance to legislation.
• Manage correct capturing of all patient data.
• Ensure availability of stationary, business consumables and printing stock etc.
• Record and manage maintenance of all medical equipment.
• Schedule services of medical equipment.
• Ensure maintenance of office equipment including but not limited to computer hardware copier machines, printers, etc.
• Coordinate and ensure opening and closing of branch by nursing personnel.
• Coordinate and implement sound nursing operational practices aligned with the medical operating model of the organisation and SANC.
• Quality customer service aligned with Intercare’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
• Assist the health professionals with patient care where necessary.
• Build and maintain productive working relationships with all key stakeholders through on-going communication and feedback.
• Ensure sound working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient satisfaction through communication and provision of accurate and timeously information and care, including capturing of correct clinical information.
• Ensure that all nursing staff provide a quality customer service within their scope of practice.
• Attend to customer complaints and escalate where required to line manager.

• Effective leadership and people management.
