    Key Account Manager (Enterprise | Oil & Gas)

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • To maximize revenue opportunities through establishing, developing and maintaining long-term relationships with key Oil & Gas customers as well as defining and executing sales strategies that focus on increased sales and profitability. 
    • Effectively position Liquid Intelligent Technology as Technology partner of choice in the market by cultivating relationships, identifying opportunities, and consultatively selling Liquid Intelligent Technologies' services and solutions that meet client’s requirements.

    Achieving and exceeding sales targets for assigned portfolio per segment.

    ROLE DESCRIPTION

    Effective Account Management

    • Create, develop, and maintain business relationship with customers and gain in-depth understanding of the customer’s business and industry.
    • Identify key role players and develop and maintain a personal professional network with relevant decision makers.
    • Develop and maintain an account plan within the context of the customers objectives and segment strategy.
    • Understand the customers’ requirements and implement customer business growth strategies in conjunction with Liquid Intelligent Technologies' delivery and support functions.
    • Ensure that all sales deadlines are met.
    • The Account Manager serves as the primary contact liaison and take full accountability for account health.  Manage escalations.

    Build and Grow Client Relationships to Ensure Excellent Customer Experience

    • Understand clients' business and generate new ideas. Build trust, credibility, and client referrals.
    • Maintain or improve account profitability by customizing solutions as per customer requirements.
    • Provide input and align to broader Liquid Intelligent Technologies' strategies and business initiatives to support the required revenue growth and acquisition new revenue. in order to generate more revenue.
    • Identify new market opportunities by selling and integrating Liquid Intelligent Technologies’ offerings to new and existing clients.
    • Develop, review and implement a detailed sales account plan for Oil & Gas and mining accounts.
    • Conducts business professionally and ethically, adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.  Develop a spirit of camaraderie by initiating social events / team building events with customers.
    • Compile motivation for refunds and credit notes.  Keeping accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers

    Development and Maintenance of Sales pipeline to Reach Sales Targets

    • Responsible for generating leads and developing a pipeline for the sales segment.
    • Identify and establish relationships in new and existing geography and segments.
    • Provide pre-sales and after-sales assistance in bid/tender processes.
    • Manage customer relationships with allocated and new clients.
    • Deliver presentations and propose consultation-based solutions.
    • Keep abreast on the market changes and have a broad understanding of Telecommunication Services, Frameworks, Technologies.  Have clear understanding of customer business, technology and strategies.

    Requirements

    • Relevant Diploma/Tertiary Qualification  
    • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in the oil, gas and mining industry with a proven sales track record for selling fully managed services solutions relevant to the oil, gas and mining sector.
    • In-depth understanding of Oil and Gas, and Large Mining Companies mandatory along with technical knowledge within OICT and or Telecommunications

    Electrical Engineer

    Description

    • The Engineer is part of the Development Team and will be reporting to the Head: Engineering. Responsible for the technical aspects of new build, expansion and major upgrade of Data Centres across the continent for Africa Data Centres, predominantly in South Africa. The successful candidate will account for all engineering decisions, project design deliverables and acceptance of all major mechanical or electrical deployments completed for Africa Data Centres.
    • The ideal candidate will update and improve Design and Group Standards based on lessons learnt on previous projects and in order to comply to latest customer requirements and industry trends. Accounting for specific aspects of the overall design, compliance to local regulation and Group standards for the infrastructure serving the Data Centres. While involved in the technical design phases for each project from inception to hand-over to Operations team. This includes oversight of professional engineering consultants and technical sign-off & acceptance of their deliverables.

    Data Centre Design Managemeant

    • Accountable for specific design elements of the data centre.
    • Responsible for professional team technical supervision and their deliverables for all data centre infrastructure projects
    • Accountable for design coordination between all trades

    Data Centre Construction

    • Responsible for quality inspection of the facility 
    • Responsible to list all defects and snags identified during construction and at project completion.    
    • Responsible for construction compliance to (approved) design  

    Data Centre Commissioning and Testing

    • Responsible to set and communicate the Commissioning and Testing standards to all parties involved in a project. 
    • Witness and sign off all commissioning stages (from Level 1 to level 5)

    Data Centre Technical handover to Operations

    • Prepare and coordinate all trainings for Operations team
    • Review, comment and sign off all Operations and maintenance manuals.

    Team player / Communication

    • Responsible for the delivery of effective communications between the operations, the project team and professional design team
    • Responsible for in house sales technical support

    Formal Qualifications Required

    • Electrical Engineering  
    • Professionally registered

    Job Related Experience Required

    • 5 years' experience in Data Centre design & delivery
    • 5 years' experience with M&E project design & delivery
    • Experience in an operational mission critical environment

    Job Related Knowledge Required

    • In-depth knowledge of technical infrastructure requirements for mission critical facilities
    • Design knowledge in M&E equipment and infrastructure sizing
    • Knowledge of applicable South African legislation and regulations

    Description

    • Head: Engineering will part of the Development Team in charge of the delivery of new build, expansion, and major upgrade across the continent for Africa Data Centres, predominantly in South Africa. Head: Engineering will update and improve Design and Group Standards based on lessons learnt on previous projects in order to comply to latest customer requirements and industry trends while responsible for all engineering decisions, project design deliverables and acceptance of all major mechanical and electrical deployments completed for Africa Data Centres.
    • The role will require accountability for design, compliance to local regulation and Group standards for all infrastructure serving the Data Centres. Managing all technical design phases for each project from inception to hand-over to Operations team. This includes oversight of professional engineering consultants, technical sign-off during all significant design, construction and commissioning activities for data centre infrastructure for hand-over to the operations team.  

    Requirements

    Key Performance Area

    Data Centre Design Management

    • Accountable for data centre electrical and mechanical design 
    • Responsible for professional team technical supervision and oversight of professional services teams (consulting engineers / architects) for all data centre development projects
    • Accountable for design compliance to local regulations

    Teamwork and coordination

    • Accountable for continuous technical support for the project delivery and construction teams  
    • Ensure that Operations team have approved design during all the development phases
    • Ensure all handover, training, technical documents are made available for all projects.

    Group Standards

    • Development of standardised data centre environmental requirements and ongoing energy efficiency (PUE) targets 
    • Ensure Design consistency across the Data Centres of the Group
    • Ensure that the Group standards comply to the latest customer and industry requirements

    Financial Management

    • Responsible for realising deferred CAPEX for future upgrades and new build deployments   
    • Responsible for energy saving initiatives to reduce PUE across all facilities

    People Management / Communication

    • Oversight of professional services teams (consulting engineers, architects, commissioning agents) and their deliverables
    • Responsible for Senior PM technical support
    • Responsible for in house Sales technical support

    Formal Qualifications Required

    • MSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering  
    • BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 

    Job Related Experience Required

    • 5 years' experience in Critical facility design & delivery
    • 10 years' experience with M&E project design & delivery
    • 5 year experience in significant Critical Facility commissioning and acceptance experience 
    • Experience in Data centre Design and Build
