    Business Analyst Specialist

    Job Purpose

    • To enable change by defining the needs and the rationale for change, to understand the current state, to define the future state, and to determine the activities required to move from the current to the future state by applying the principles of business analysis, according to the requirements classification schema, from a diverse array of multi-functional perspectives with an agile mindset. Address complex challenges or opportunities, finds a way to deliver business value for any change challenge, guides others to help them deliver better business outcomes, is sought after for expertise and guidance in addressing business challenges, and provides insight to situations that fall within (or outside of) the sphere of influence. Pair with Product Designers (CX/UX), Business Architects, Testers (QA), Business data Managers (BDM) and key roles in the requirements value chain. Apply the principles of Product Ownership Analysis and the strategy-to-execution framework. Lead other BAs in delivery Enterprisewide solutions where this is a project requirement an/or act as the business subject matter expert.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Conduct and lead others on iterative and adaptive planning and monitoring tasks to estimate, organize and coordinate the BA efforts on large/complex enterprise initiatives
    • Conduct and lead others on elicitation and collaboration tasks to obtain information from stakeholders and confirm the results 
    • Conduct and lead others on requirements analysis and design definition to structure, organize, specify and model requirements and designs, validate and verify information, identify solution options that meet business needs, and estimate the potential value that could be realized for each solution option
    • Conduct and lead others on Requirements Life Cycle Management tasks to manage and maintain requirements and design information from inception to retirement
    • Conduct and lead others on strategy analysis to define the future and transition states needed to address the business need
    • Conduct and lead others on Solution Evaluation to assess the performance of and value delivered by a solution, and eliminate barriers/constraints that prevent the full realization of the value
    • Execute and lead others on according to IIBA best practices, agile product delivery and lean principles based on Nedbank's delivery approach as per the BA methods
    • Discover and deliver requirements based on changes across all seven product dimensions and requirements categories
    • Understand/co-create the operational value streams, enterprise strategic themes, product roadmap, vision, KPIs and metrics

    • Explore and articulate the opportunity/problem to be solved and identify stakeholder wants and needs to realise this and participate to define the proposed solution

    • Lead all aspects of Backlog Refinement and increment planning and champion DevOps & Built-in quality principles and limit WIP

    Information Security Analyst II

    Job Purpose

    • To analyse information security related tasks within the ambit of existing information security policies, standards and processes, procedures and practices as well as business rules. Working independently to deliver on work tasks.  Mentor Administrators and Analyst I. Collaborate with other specialists to execute analysis work tasks, perform operational tasks, question, recommend and update improvements to the existing policies, process and procedures. To ensure stability and up-time for areas the incumbent takes responsibility for, which could require availability  on demand to perform job related duties outside of normal working hours.   

    Job Responsibilities

    • Capture timesheets timeously and accurately
    • Capture claims timeously and accurately
    • Propose solutions that must be cost effective whilst meeting information security requirements within budget. 
    • Participate in negotiations on fair pricing from vendors for new technologies procured. 
    • Manage and or resolve low, medium and high incidents and engage with Specialists to resolve the high complexity incidents. 
    • Build relationships with stakeholders to facilitate the flow of knowledge, input and discussion on new products and solutions as required by stakeholders. 
    • Facilitate and manage the incident and problem management process when stakeholder environments are affected. 
    • Oversee the implementation of the information security changes and check for the short comings and risks.
    • Interpret MIS and system logs/ reports with the view to analyse and correct any deviations against standards and best practices. 
    • Participate in the implementation of new products as provided in the selection criteria.
    • Act as the 1st point of problem resolution for non routine incidents and 1st line support for problems. 
    • Ensure compliance to standards and practises  by familiarizing  and keeping abreast of information security policies, rules, standards and processes, procedures and practices as well as business rules.
    • Document and maintain all relevant processes and procedures mindful of current policies and standards.  
    • Create and maintain information security standards.  
    • Oversee and monitor the information security  environment according to set standards.
    • Review and contribute to project documentation including business requirements, designs and implementation.
    • Create design documentation according to relevant standards and practices  
    • Implement specific Information security technologies.  
    • Gain further exposure and experience  on multiple technologies by job shadowing Information Security analysts III and Technical Specialist. 
    • Log submit and implement low, medium and high risk changes independently.
    • Provide guidance and supervision to Administrators and Analyst I on implementation and changes. 
    • Oversee and ensure change was successful in certain cases and when required perform unit testing. 
    • Oversee and ensure back-ups are done, documents are stored and statuses updated.
    • Analyse logs and reports independently and provide supervision to Administrators and Analyst I. 
    • Monitor and action Service Manager low, medium and high impact incidents and e-mails related to Information Security.
    • Ensure job related tasks and processes are in place.
    • Ensure that the logging and submitting of all relevant incidents have taken place and resolve low, medium and high incidents.
    • Conduct risk and root cause analyses around exceptions, queries, incidents as per operational procedures with the relevant internal and external stakeholders and provide feedback, confirm stakeholder satisfaction.  
    • Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters, websites and attending sessions.
    • Improve personal capability and to stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identify training courses and career progression opportunities for self through input and feedback from managers.
    • Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge sharing knowledge with team.

    Technical Product Owner Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

    Role Purpose

    • The Head of ERP Delivery & Operations is responsible for leading the Bank’s SAP CCOE ERP , as well as associated ERP related application teams, ensuring the stability, scalability, and modernization of the SAP and overall enterprise resource planning landscape. This role owns the full lifecycle of SAP and associated solutions (approx. 40 3rd party applications) —from build to run—across platforms including SAP ECC/S4HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass, BW, SAC, Datasphere, and Payroll. The SAP CCOE is also responsible for central SAP specific functions such as Basis and GRC/Security for Finance, Procurement, Corporate Real Estate, HR and Loans.     Manager Credit Risk Portfolio Management

    Job Purpose

    • To provide client service by applying sound credit risk management principles with approved credit mandates through management of a designated portfolio of clients across multiple products enabling Nedbank to reduce the cluster impairment charge with the view to rehabilitate the client, in line with the business or individual turnaround strategy.

    Key Deliverables

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop client exit or rehabilitation strategies by conducting inter-alia review of client facilities.

    • Give an overview of the book by developing and preparing portfolio review presentations based on Management Information Systems (MIS).

    • Ensure clean audit in area of responsibility by enforcing adherence to bank policies, process and procedures and industry regulations.
    • Implement sound credit risk management by providing advice on specialized credit risk matters to cross functional teams and direct reports, where applicable
    • Recommend enhancement to processes by constantly seeking innovative improvements to the credit systems.
    • Motivate staff where applicable to perform and contribute to the success of the business by creating environment of teamwork through engaging with staff (sharing information) and encouraging participation in decision making processes
