    Artisan Bridge Operative

    • As an Artisan Bridge Operative, you invest your time, energy, and work into your product training, and on the job experience in mining machines rebuild and maintenance. As a qualified artisan, you will be given training on Sandvik Products and experience for 12 Months that will enable you to be competitive in the mining industry.

    Production Unit Technician- S3

    The Role

    • Responsible for pre-assembly of Electrical, Mechanical, Electro- hydraulic and Pneumatic components, assembling, inspecting, testing and commissioning of newly built machines (soft and hard rock LHDs) in accordance with the relevant specifications and adhering to safety and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assembling machines in accordance with the assembling plan.
    • Pre-Assembling and testing of Electrical, Mechanical, Electro- hydraulic and Pneumatic components.
    • Pre-assembly and testing of electrical and flame proof components.
    • Assembling, testing and commissioning Sandvik hard rock and soft rock machines.
    • Follow up on outstanding parts availability on Lean systems.
    • Ensure work areas are maintained in accordance with Production standards.
    • Maintains process designs to optimize process and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
    • Comply with Sandvik SHEQ management system and the Objectives and Targets set
    • Complete work orders and give feedback to the foreman.
    • Report all deviations and/or damages
    • Keep good maintenance of P.P.E. and use it as prescribed.

    Your Profile

    • Must trade be tested (Millwright/Electrical or Mechanical) with a flame proof certificate.
    • Section 13 Trade Certificate /Section 26D Trade Certificate with POE/ Proof of Modules /Proof of Apprenticeship is compulsory.
    • Must have 3 to 5 years’ experience in machine manufacturing.
    • Must have experience in Sandvik hard rock and soft rock loaders.
    • Must have Knowledge of electro-hydraulics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems and schematic reading.
    • Excellent troubleshooting ability with strong diagnostic, problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
    • A safety champion capable of working alone or with a team and capable of stopping work, if required.
    • Creative, adaptable to changes, good attitude in learning.

    Component and Drifter Workshop Assessor - S3

    The Role:

    • To plan, organise and lead strip downs and assessments on machine component failures and repairs, and to track failure trends for customers to improve on reliability and sustainability of components’ lifespan.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Assessments of components received by the stores from the customer and inspect and test machine components to identify reasons for component failure,
    • Analyse root cause failure and make recommendations to advise the customer on how to rectify or prevent future component failures.
    • Identify parts required for repairs for components and report any deviations and/or damage of machines and components
    • Update planning and tracking sheets to ensure traceability of all customer jobs
    • Compile arrival and failure reports for all components received from customers to generate a quotation for the customers.
    • Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect machine components.
    • Report all deviations of repairs
    • Address and report all customer complaints and suggestions referring to machines' components
    • Perform visual inspections of rebuilds and component repairs with Artisans and Quality Controller to ensure compliance of OEM standard.
    • Identify quality defects in parts used and report to the Workshop Manager

    Profile required:

    • Matric/Grade 12
    • Trade Certificate in Fitting and Turning or Diesel Mechanic or Millwright
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in trackless mobile machinery components.
    • Knowledge of root cause analysis, inspections and reporting on machinery components.
    • Physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment
    • English proficiency
    • Valid equipment license for testing purposes would be advantageous
    • Valid crane license would be advantageous
    • Valid driver license

    Digital Sales and Services Representative - P3

    The Role:

    • The Digital Sales and Services Representative mainly focusing for OEM agnostic Newtrax Collision Prevention System and UFR automation offerings, is responsible for driving lead generation, sales growth, business development activities and customer relationship management for managed accounts and targeting white spots.
    • DSSR will by leveraging digital tools, platforms, and strategies to identify, engage, and convert prospects into customers. This role focuses on expanding the current customer base but will be also supporting AutoMine sales to existing Sandvik customers as required and will provide support for the account management structure for Newtrax and UFR offerings. The Digital Sales Representative is a self-sufficient individual and can initiate leads through cold calling and various minging related events. DSSR can navigate a corporate matrix organization, keeping various stakeholders informed about customer engagement. Strong use of digital tools like CRM is essential to create visibility on opportunity funnel development.
    • The Digital Sales and Services Representative will work with a complex technological and digital portfolio to find the right solutions for customers, ensuring easy entry with opportunities to expand later.

    Sales Manager - M3

    The Role

    • The Sales Manager, is responsible to develop, implement and deliver strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, increase market share, forge strategic relationships, promote Sandvik brand awareness and responsible for a positive customer experience. By identifying new business opportunities and customer relationships, the Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving sales growth for capital equipment.
    • Duties will include but are not limited to, responding to queries from clients and resolving problems to ensure the customer can focus on their core activities. Additional focus points will be the setting of area-specific goals for each strategic customer to promote a personalized service and proactive selling by tracking clients individually.
    • Overall, the Sales Manager is instrumental in driving business growth, building strategic relationships and in positioning SANDVIK as the preferred choice for equipment and service.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and expand market share.
    • Create business development plans and targets for the product range in collaboration with the BLM and the global Portfolio Managers (this will include the introduction of new products into the market).

    • Manage forecasted sales on budget, meeting gross profit targets.

    • Assess the account's total potential with MECU products & services and develop future market potential for MECU business with the account.
    • Develop and implement local account business plans to secure current and new business within defined sales areas and responsibilities.
    • Ensure the relevant activities (sales) are executed to increase revenue and efficiencies for equipment, workshops, and customer service.
    • Collaborate with the engineering and product line teams to tailor solutions that meet customer requirements and address industry challenges.
