    Principal Inspector

    Purpose of Job
    Performing statutory inspections on Pressure Equipment in Sasol Sasolburg Plants.

    • Pressure Equipment Regulations (PER)
    • Inspection to Risk Based Inspection plans
    • Reporting in PCMS system (Plant Condition Monitoring System)
    • Pressure equipment in-service inspection to applicable API codes
    • Valve and safety valve inspection to applicable API codes

    Key Accountabilities
    FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

    • In-service Inspections including
    • Statutory Inspection on pressure vessels
    • Inspection of piping systems
    • Inspection of valves safety valves
    • Inspection of tanks
    • Statutory record keeping of interventions on pressure equipment
    • Inspection of corrosion prevention systems
    • Technical input into failure and repair studies
    • Co-ordination and technical inputs into Risked Based Inspection studies on pressure equipment.
    • Co-ordination of non-destructive testing.

    Formal Qualifications

    • Grade 12, Maths & Science / N3 with appropriate subjects (Maths / Science / Drawings)
    • SAQCC Competent Inspector Pressure Vessels

    At least one of the following:

    • SAQCC Competent Inspector Pressure Vessels Non-Metallics
    • SAQCC Competent Inspector Boilers / Steam Generator
    • SAQCC Inspector of Pressurised Equipment
    • SAQCC Inspector of Pressurised Non-Metallics Equipment
    • Welding Inspector Level 1 may be advantageous
    • Welding Inspector Level 2 may be advantageous
    • Coatings course may be advantageous
    • Penetrant testing level 1&2 may be advantageous
    • Magnetic Particle testing levels 1&2 may be advantageous
    • Penetrant testing level 1&2 may be advantageous

    Work Experience

    • 4-6 years work relevant experience in petro-chemical industries
    • Working knowledge of and experience in API Inspection codes

    Snr Specialist Sox IM

    Purpose of Job

    • This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with SOX 404 (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and maintaining robust IT General Controls (ITGC) across the organization. The individual will serve as a trusted partner and the connective tissue between the business, internal audit, and our external auditors, demonstrating technical and internal controls expertise to help us continually assess and manage risks in the IT environment while also supporting business objectives.

    Key Accountabilities
    This role will assist in the sustainment of the SOX404 process which comprises of the following requirements:

    • Direction and support to Information Technology (IT) / Information management (IM) Function with SOX compliance requirements as applicable to IT/IM.
    • Support IT/IM function during the SOX management testing cycles ,internal and external audit process.
    • Guide IT/IM function to identify internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) gaps and provide direction in designing and implementing sustainable solutions to ensure ongoing compliance.
    • Support the IM Function with ICFR risk assessments and implementing ITGCs .
    • Prepare quarterly SOX reports to EXCO and Governance meetings (where applicable).
    • Facilitate the SAP Critical Actions review process within the IT/IM Function .
    • Co-ordination of the testing of the annual COSO controls within the IM/IT function.
    • Provide advisory SOX IT integrated expertise to IM Globally.
    • Thorough understanding of IT systems and ITGCs to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). 
    • Advise IT/IM on all ongoing SOX certification and compliance processes, in terms of Section 404, including reports to the Group SOX Committee and input into the reports to the Audit Committee.
    • Coordinate regarding progress, issues, concerns, challenges and suggestions and manage the evaluation of all control deficiencies).
    • Ensure IM  controls are updated on Workiva , all changes followed the proper management  of change process.
    • Coordinate the process of obtaining SOX 404 Certification Letters from IT/IM function.
    • Ensure IT/IM function (control owners) are trained on changes in SOX process and all relevant SOX  information, including COSO.
    • Stays abreast with new developments in the Sarbanes Oxley, COSO, PCAOB, the various  accounting standards and NYSE environments.
    • Support the IT scoping and perform risk assessments.
    • Monitor and update SOX controls documentation  in Workiva platform inclusive of risk information and results of assessments.
    • Independent Review and Quality assurance of results of the IT/IM SOX management testing , including adequacy of evidence.
    • Support and guide the business on review of SOC reports .
    • Develop and prepares SOX training materials and facilitate SOX training to the IM team .
    • Support the IM team on evaluation and remediation of any deficiencies, significant deficiencies and/or material weaknesses .
    • Support the IM function during the internal and external audit processes.
    • Perform SOX impact assessment for the IM projects to ensure that IT systems and financial processes are in compliance with SOX regulations and are properly designed for all in-scope processes.
    • Work with the business to identify opportunities for automation and process improvements that enhance control environments and drive efficiency, including determination of use of AI.

    Formal Education

    • 3-4-year Relevant University Degree
    • Post Graduate Hon degree (Finance /Information Technology) will be advantageous
    • CIA /CISA / CA(SA) will be advantageous

    Specialist CSI

    Purpose of Job

    • Support Sasol’s Socio-Economic Development and Corporate Social Investment programme (CSI) through CSI programme execution which includes cost, quality and schedule control for the Secunda region, including enablement of the planning processes, to achieve business objectives which benefits fenceline communities.
    • Implementation of a region-specific integrated community developed plan for community development projects, programmes and campaigns while ensuring the projects and programmes are linked to the national strategic focus areas. 
    • Identification of CSI programmes such as health and wellness, safety and security, environmental and infrastructure, ensuring the projects and programmes are linked to the strategic CSI focus areas and business requirements.  This includes the preparation of submissions for approval, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of projects.
    • Facilitate the implementation of infrastructure and CSI projects and programmes to ensure projects, programmes and campaigns are implemented according to the applicable plan and achieves the desired impact, managing data collection, analysis and reporting.

    Key Accountabilities
    This position requires a well-rounded approach to community development, integrating technical experience with project management and relationship-building skills, while fostering sustainable growth and community empowerment:

    • Understanding of Sasol business strategy to ensure delivery and enhancement of CSI programme design.
    • Ensure that programmes and projects are designed, planned, and managed according to set principles and selected criteria.
    • Ascertain that projects are executed according to plan, in a cost-effective way, and meet the set objectives, standards and quality.
    • Identification, selection, design and implementation of CSI projects, programmes and campaigns in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Ensure projects align with community needs, priorities, and funding requirements.
    • Prepare submissions for the approval of projects, programmes and campaigns with clear deliverables and indicators to measure the outcome and impact of the projects and programmes.
    • Preparation of implementation plans which includes individual and consolidated plans for all projects and plans for each individual project, programme or campaign.
    • Appointment and management of Implementation Partners identified for the execution of CSI programmes in line with Sasol’s Supply Chain and governance processes.
    • Monitoring and evaluation of programmes, ensuring milestones are met, on time and within budget and the desired impact is achieved.
    • Assessment of the impact, benefit and sustainability of programmes and recommendation to proceed or suspend programmes.
    • Support the budget formulation process, tracking expenditure, updating the budget spend in line with project implementation and disbursement of funds.
    • Preparation and consolidation of data and reports and ensuring information is captured on the relevant platforms.
    • Provide supporting documentation and evidence for BBBEE compliance verification and audits.
    • Prepare high-impact presentations, briefings, and reports on the results and impact of programmes delivered.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to enhance the flow of information and address concerns.
    • Identification of partnership and collaboration opportunities and partner identification and facilitate co-funding of programmes.
