    Portfolio Assistant

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    Agri Credit Solutions is seeking the services of a Portfolio Assistant: Level 1 who will be responsible for management of all stand-alone month accounts and special accounts, as well as administrative support for all the portfolios in the Credit Cluster.

    Handling of all Standalone monthly accounts and special accounts credit applications:

    • Compile application and supporting documents.
    • Review of monthly accounts.
    • Interim and additional applications.

    Provide administrative support:

    • Administration and management of grain finance accounts.
    • Compile journals and cash focus entries.

    Credit limit management:

    • Follow-up of extensions requested.
    • Follow-up on approval conditions for opening of facilities.
    • Arrange for opening up/availability of credit limits.
    • Handling of late estate (estate late) accounts.
    • Ad hoc administrative tasks.

    Collection of debt and payments:

    • Monitor of monthly accounts in arrears.
    • Telephonic enquiries and arrangements with clients with regards to debt collection and payments on all accounts where applicable.
    • Reconciliation of accounts.
    • Early identification of accounts in dispute and/or arrears and reporting.
    • Prepare accounts for transfer to Legal department.
    • Issue final demand letters.

    Requirements

    JOB REQUIREMENTS 

    • Qualifications: National Senior Certificate (candidates with commerce background will receive preference).
    • Requirements: At least 1 years’ relevant experience. Candidate with SAP experience will receive preference.

    Senior Business and Financial Analyst (Level 1)

     Lead Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).

    • Responsible for the end-to-end deal process, including deal origination, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, transaction execution and implementation.
    • Co-responsibility for negotiations and optimal deal design within the M&A process.
    • Implementation of the transaction or project in accordance with the project plan, including the oversight of all work streams and the supervision of external advisors.
    • Management of all stakeholders involved in the transaction by acting as primary coordinator.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion of transactions.
    • Execute and lead the approval streams required for a specific transaction, i.e. the respective Exco, InvestCo, Boards, Shareholders and if applicable, by the appropriate Regulatory institution.

     Develop Valuations and Financial Models.

    • Provide detailed valuation models (and other ancillary models) that are tailored specifically for each transaction.
    • Develop and populate financial models, i.e. forecasts, earnings normalisation, DCF valuation models, etc.
    • Review internal valuations reports based on technical and commercial aspects.
    • Manage outsourced valuation processes.

    Conduct Business Feasibility Studies and Investment Analyses.

    • Evaluate new business opportunities through financial and broader feasibility studies.
    • Contribute to optimising current business and business structures.
    • Perform business and financial analysis on industry role-players and competitors and report to Management/Exco
    • Evaluate market conditions, industry trends and competitive landscapes to enable business environment and competitor analyses.

    Drive Transaction Design.

    • Conduct in-depth investigation on how international and local companies have built marketing channels for market access, and consider their methods for possible integration into the Group's models.
    • Identify structures within the agribusinesses or within the company that can be redesigned to enhance profit.
    • Investigate new markets or commodities to implement the Group’s strategy and key competencies.

    Optimise Internal Processes.

    • Do an in-depth analysis of the main cost components within the Senwes Group to make suggestions on how to lower these costs and assure that the cost-saving plans are being implemented.
    • Explore projects and programs of other companies for efficiency improvement ideas.
    • Research and develop new plans to address increased cost issues (i.e. the set-off of operating cost to capital cost).
    • Participate in negotiations with product and service providers related to cost components.

     Provide Business Intelligence.

    • Monitor and forecast movements of companies on the target list for potential acquisitions.
    • Monitor companies on the target list and anticipate their next moves to facilitate swift company responses.
    • Provide inputs and guidance on active target list for potential acquisitions.
    • Perform industry, competitor, and company benchmark analyses, focusing on financial, operational, and strategic aspects.
    • Conduct technical research (valuation methodologies, modelling techniques, investment evaluations, legal agreement clauses, etc.).

    Manage Projects.

    • Project management within the Corporate Finance environment. Projects include – Mergers and acquisitions, Greenfield investment, expansions, efficiency project execution, transaction implementations and integration, etc.

    Requirements

    • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in agriculture/corporate/business consultation environment. Experience in either M&A, deal-making, lead advisory or transaction services will serve as recommendation.
    • Qualification:  BCom Finance / Business Sciences / Economics (i.e. CGMA, CFA); BCom Accounting – CA(SA); Engineering with a background in finance or business (MBA, CFA or similar program); Mathematics with a background in finance or business (MBA, CFA or similar program)

    Sales Representative (Agrinet)

    Description

    • Agrinet, a wholesale supplier and distributor of a wide range of products that cater to the hardware retail, industrial and irrigation markets in Africa is looking for Sales Representative for the Northern Cape (Upington) region.
    • The Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing the profitability of allocated accounts, by managing the relationship with the Customers and supporting them to exceed their sales targets of our full product range.
    • Ensure orders received as per budgeted month.
    • Increase turnover of existing customers across the entire account base by upselling and cross selling.
    • Set overall revenue targets for each account.

    • focused and new customers are critical component to sales planning and success.
    • Formulate and implement plans to increase turnover per existing customer.
    • Ensure knowledge and understanding of customer’s business.
    • Determine who the key decision makers are and what their needs are.
    • Develop and demonstrate specialist knowledge of Agrinet’s and competitor’s products.
    • Determine training needs and provide relevant training on product benefits.

    Laboratory Technician Level 1: Microbiology

    Responsibilities:

    • Precise preparation of agars and reagents, including mixing, dispensing, and autoclaving, in adherence to standard operating procedures.
    • Receive and verify new raw products against stock and purchase inspection lists, ensuring accuracy with orders and delivery notes, and store in designated areas per SOP.

    Grain Marketer

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify opportunities and risks based on individual producers' portfolios and market indicators.
    • Engage with producers to discuss portfolio performance and recommend relevant market access solutions.
    • Discuss strategy, contract types, and pricing with producers; verify prices with traders and issue quotations.
    • Organise and facilitate information sessions between producers and the marketing group.

    Requirements

    • Relevant B-qualification.

    Silo Manager

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate intake, storage and dispatching of grain.
    • Grading of grain according to statutory requirements.
    • Ensure correct offloading and quality of grain.
    • Oversee the loading of grain and sample taking process.
    • Perform inspections to maintain adherence to statutory requirements.
    • Provide inputs in planning and allocating of storage capacity according to crop estimation information.
    • Pre-cleaning, drying, aeration and fumigation of grain.
    • Maintain a safe working environment.

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate.
    • All relevant grading and fumigation courses.
    • Certificate in Management/Leadership.

    At least three years’ experience in the Grain Industry with knowledge and experience in:

    • Crop estimates
    • Testing and grading of grains
    • Fumigation
    • Knowledge of aeration
    • Understanding of grain marketing and management.
    • Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills.
