    County Manager

    Job description
    We have the below vacancy available in our Organisation:

    The G Band County Manager: SGS Operations is based within Network job family

    The role of the County Manager: SGS Operations is to integrate, manage and control the end-to-end functions within the County as it pertain to Transmission Maintenance, Radio Planning & Optimisation, Radio Maintenance & Installations, Network Quality, Customer Care, RAN Core Planning & Dimensioning as to ensure overall network quality & service delivery .

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Ensure consistent customer services and drive successful resolution of customer queries
    • Determine RAN and Transmission project priorities and ensure that project activities are integrated with other County functions and drive effective roll-out and deployment in collaboration with the Project/ Programme Manager
    • To plan, build & maintain the RAN & Transmission Access networks
    • To optimize the RAN Network
    • Coordinate, monitor and control contractor services
    • Build people capacity within the County and ensure that employees have clear work expectations, targets and goals to work according to (weekly work orders)
    • Drive cost efficiency by ensuring adherence to financial and operational policies and procedures, and reduce wastage related to time of subordinates and utilisation of materials or equipment
    • Ensure adequate Network performance management to achieve Regional targets
    • Ensure Safety, Health & Environment compliance across the County
    • Manage, guide, lead and assist your team
    • Assist with Ad Hoc projects as required
    • Investigations regarding the optimal use of infrastructure as well as maximizing revenue and network traffic and profitability of and evaluate proposed enhancements and upgrades in network infrastructure.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric (Essential)
    • Minimum 3 years National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering. (Essential)

    Specialist: Online Operations

    Job Description

    The role of the Specialist: Online Operations is to administer and support incident and fault management within the Online and Self Service operational environment across both CBU (Consumer Business Unit) and EBU (Enterprise Business Unit) across the Digital channels.

    Support and administer Content Management system changes and configuration across multiple work streams.

    Your responsibilities will include but not limited:

    • To proactively identify faults through constant monitoring, testing and trawling of our digital channels.
    • To escalate any faults in line with severity to the relevant department and ensure continuous follow-up until fault has been resolved.
    • Ensure adherence in line with agreed Service Level management with the various support stakeholders
    • Collaborate with all stakeholders and Business Partners to improve Customer Experience on Online
    • Providing a second line support role for external digital fixed and mobile enterprise Vodacom customers
    • Driving reduction in Net Promotor Score detractors through effective incident management principles.
    • Drive resolution of online incidents/bugs with relevant resolver groups including, but not limited to, IT Operations and development
    • Analyse channel performance to continually identify optimisation opportunities
    • Drive usage of the change request process to track and report on content enhancements, fault and issue management
    • Manage the implementation of all Performance, Security and Monitoring tools across the Digital platforms according to Vodafone standards
    • Ensure that all monitoring scripts and tools are updated with the latest journeys across the Digital platforms
    • Ensure all connections and system integrations between the Online, CRM and Back-end environments and the relevant touch-points are monitored to ensure optimal functional availability

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric essential
    • 3yr Qualification or 3yr certification in an IT /Web, user experience or Process Improvement is essential or relevant qualification.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience essential in a web/digital and IT environment with exposure to:
    • o Basic HTML or Java code
    • o Web Page structures
    • o Basic ITIL Foundation
    • OR
    • Matric essential
    • Relevant short courses/certificate
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
    • In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have an in depth knowledge and understanding:
    • Experience with Digital-based and online information systems
    • Knowledge of web best practise usability & accessibility standards
    • Knowledge of content management systems
    • Testing of devices and working with Test Data

    Contract Manager

    Job description

    The role of the Contract Manager :

    • Create, negotiate and conclude Customer Agreements (both Mobile and fixed) from Direct and Indirect Sale Channels as well as Wholesale Agreements.
    • Provide legal support for the Products environment in the development of product terms and conditions and ad hoc Legal requirements from this Business Unit.
    • Attend to Bid requests which require urgent legal support on terms and conditions and NDA’s.
    • Provide inputs into agreement models for all the different Business Units such as Business Partner Models, Online Terms and Conditions earmarked for the SMME market and Wholesale Models in consultation with Contract Manager.
    • Legal and contract support for Ad Hoc projects such FTTx, FX Exchange fluctuations and Product focus
    • Provide first line legal advise on appropriate contract structure to be used in unconventional contract request
    • Protect Vodacom against Legal risk by identifying and highlighting risks to appropriate stakeholders within business such as Legal, Management and/or Executive Management

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Responsible for creating, negotiating and concluding of Customer Agreements The Contract Specialist will be responsible for:
    • Preparing the required Agreement for Direct Customer, Partner Agreements from Indirect Sales channel and Wholesale Agreements once instruction received from the respective business area.
    • The Account Manager is responsible for providing contract support to the entire EBU with main focus on Fixed Line Services but as back up resource for Mobile Agreements.
    • Analyse contract issues and legal risk once contract negotiations ensue and liaise with the different internal business units/stakeholders (including Legal) to mitigate the legal risk or to provide business feedback to the Customer.
    • Drive the finalisation and conclusion of agreements once it has been provided to the Customer and escalate where necessary.
    • Report on Agreements status on a monthly basis
    • Responsible for all EBU Fixed Line Tender reviews and support Ensure that all Vodacom SA tenders are reviewed and responded to by the due date
    • Attend to all NDA requirements attached to tenders received ensuring the proper policies are followed ito of NDA’s and escalate in time where the opportunity might be at risk due to policy.
    • Liaise with all appropriate internal stakeholders in order to address all Legal and contract issues relating to the tenders.
    • Escalate or advise if deadlines are not achievable for appropriate action to be taken.
    • Establishes appropriate relationships with internal stakeholders in the various business units in order to conclude agreements.
    • Build strong long term relationships with various stakeholders in the different business units who impacts on contracting to ensure proper support and feedback in the contract negotiation phase.
    • Develop a proper high level understanding of the environment and technologies and appropriate agreement structures in order to provide general contract/legal advice on the proper contracting models to be followed.
    • Provide inputs ito of processes which can be enhanced in order to conclude contracts in a speedy and efficient way.
    • Report on all matters where proper policy has not been followed

    Ad hoc Legal or Contract Support

    • Might be requested to support the team in the development of operational/technical support documents appending to our agreement structures.
    • Might be requested to dedicate time on special strategic projects and objectives of the Company and the required contract/legal support required therein.
    • Might be required to assist business in business processes to ensure legal risk is mitigated from the start

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have an in depth knowledge and understanding
    • A legal qualification degree with experience in the Telecommunications Industry.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in Contract Management
