    Senior Specialist: FP&A and Reporting

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The core purpose of this role is to support the Group Finance FP&A team to ensure that key business objectives, effective decision making, and operational financial planning & insights is met through end-to-end business partnering for the respective Operating Companies (OpCos) on all reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
    • The individual will be expected to interact with various stakeholders and business partners together with the EHOD (Executive head): Group FP&A.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Month End Close, Forecasting and Budget Process 

    • Responsible for the Month-end-close including Early View & Rolling Forecast process for The Group including all KPI/KFI insights to support views
    • Support the annual Budgeting and Long-Range Planning (LRP) process for The Group including all KPI/KFI insights to support views. Provide the trend informing insights & review with EHOD providing validation, support and alignment
    • Review of P&L including Customer Revenue (Service & Non-Service Revenue), Direct Costs, A&R and KPI/KFI trends that support insights.
    • Support EHOD: FP&A in driving clear views into P&L for Month-end close, Rolling Forecast, Budgeting and LRP process
    • Support EHOD: FP&A & provide Operational Support in understanding OPEX/CAPEX requirements

    Management Reporting & Insights

    • Provide End-to-end Group specific reporting on Revenue, Direct Costs & A&R for The Group profitability, analysis and insights to support performance narrative and efficiency targets
    • Monthly P&L commentary and analysis at a high level OpCo view to support the variance commentary

    DCA: Data Analyst

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The role of a DCA: Data Analyst is to interpret data and trends in complex data sets; analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports that optimize efficiencies to the leadership team.
    • Support the DCA by ensuring all back-end processes run effectively, responsible for automation and exception report creation

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Data Analytics and Management

    • Assist internal Business with any adhoc reporting, data sourcing and insights using aqua data studio (Eppix backend) and sql developer (PCC back end)
    • Segment PCC data receive in a csv format, feed that data onto PowerBI to create dashboards and enhance visualization
    • Providing insights on the DCA reports by analysing historical data and using PowerBI to create reports
    • Perform standard and ad-hoc statistical tasks to collect and manipulate data, identify trends, and interpret results 
    • Develop quantitative models to forecast DCA collection portfolio risk and recoveries
    • Build predictable models that will enable DCA to forecast recoveries per quarter
    • Identify collection trends aligned to vintages to enable better focus within the handover process / strategy
    • Responsible for finding alternatives to enriching DCA data on a regular basis
    • Work with MI to improve the quality of the data files sent to the DCA’s – adding additional data columns to enable DCA’s to collect optimally
    • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources as well as maintain and improve data and reporting systems

    Process Enhancements

    • Build a program which will be embedded into the SFTP site for alerts when a file is over-due to the DCA, for a proactive response to file queries 
    • Build and constantly improve a predictive model to timeously identify EC accounts which must be prioritised for ECE Allocation
    • Build a single-view location to sync and manage the file traffic between DCAs and Vodacom
    • Source, clean and supply supplementary data to the DCAs to aid collections
    • Build and manage DCA Data warehouse and source additional information from business to improve the quality of data by creating a Sql database, to store and update the data.
    • Weekly book syncs to ensure that all DCAs are working only the allocated accounts
    • Automation and Reporting
    • Consolidate all DCA reports to one agreed format and create an auto-updating dashboard for DCA Performance Reporting
    • Design DCA performance scorecards and ranking reports
    • Resolve DCA queries that are related to sftp site and all DCA file exchanges, monitoring any inconsistencies and incorrect data
    • Design a Collections predictor model to inform collections performance across the DCA portfolio
    • Create reports that will provide more insight within the DCA portfolio
    • Report and present analytical findings and propose recommendations for process, business and strategic improvements aligned with DCA objectives

    • Attend to DCAs escalations, and also assist our internal Admin team with the escalated queries including but not limited to unallocated payments, BOT for DCA statements, ITC BOT – ensuring that the RPA team regularly check that the BOT is working
    • Liaise between DCAs and Vodacom’s internal Collections team (Systems, Strategy and MI) in terms of possible challenges, process failures and query resolutions

    Billing Systems Lead

    What you’ll do

    Role purpose: 

    • The purpose of this role is to lead the design, implementation, and operational management of the company’s billing systems for co-location and IPM (Integrated Passive Management) products.
    • The role will work cross-functionally with Product, Finance and Tech Ops to define billing requirements, source and implement a fit-for-purpose billing solution, and maintain the system once operational.
    • The role also requires strong data analytics capabilities, particularly within the Microsoft stack (SQL Server, Power BI), to support reporting, reconciliations, and insight generation across billing and infrastructure systems.

    Billing Systems Implementation & Support

    • Define business and technical billing requirements for co-location and IPM services.
    • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a billing platform.

    Senior Specialist Voice and Data Core

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Provide expert-level support for all Mobile Voice Core (CS Core), Mobile Data Core (EPC/SPC/5G Core) network technologies, and Mobile Telco over Cloud (TOC) environments across Vodacom Africa Operating Companies.
    • This includes planning, engineering, and performance management covering core technologies including, but not limited 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G.
