    Senior Specialist: Operations & Billing

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To design and implement assurance mechanism based on the understanding of the data, business rules and integration architecture of the various systems primarily the systems that support the Digital acceleration strategy that impacts the billing and reporting environment
    • To perform business analysis by assessing user requirements in terms of feasibility, impact and cost, thereby compiling accurate documents and ensuring stakeholder approval.
    • To provide support within the system development lifecycle of a project/initiative that could vary from providing subject-matter expertise; testing resources; post-deployment support; and/or being business/technical liaisons.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Consistent management of various control points, to ensure that they are effectively implemented, executed and operational within the different VFS business structures.
    • Monitor & Act on alarms generated in VFS controls and out of threshold margins.
    • Perform control of all VFS revenue streams to guarantee timely, complete and correct charging of the services provided (reconciliations related to various billing platforms, switch data, and customer databases).
    • Perform data analysis of VFS Revenue Assurance controls, quantify and communicate the impact/risk of issues.
    • Validate accuracy and completeness of data from all source systems, control execution as per the agreed schedule and identify exceptions, issues and incidents.
    • Perform root cause analysis of identified issues to find out the exact cause of mismatch and drive resolution cross-functionally within the business.
    • Ensure cross-departmental co-ordination of VFS activities and prompt escalation of incidents
    • Analyse and follow up on VFS assurance incidents until resolution as well as definition of measures to prevent occurrence of such error scenarios in the future.
    • Monitor all VFS revenue streams and identify weak process areas that may lead to leakage and propose revenue maximization strategies.
    • Prepare presentation material denoting trending, key indicators and performance that have impact on revenue leakages.
    • Manage reporting to Customer stakeholders and Management.
    • Ensure that VFS billing & reporting are accurately by executing assurance mechanism
    • Ensure that the Billing & Reporting Processes on time and ensure that they are executed 100% through assurance mechanism

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    Principal Specialist: Group FP&A

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The core purpose of this role is to support the Group Finance FP&A team to ensure that key business objectives, effective decision making, and operational financial planning & insights is met through end-to-end business partnering for the respective Operating Companies (OpCos) on all reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

    Specialist: Technology Assurance

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To provide assurance within Technology across the in Vodacom South Africa covering the areas of Cyber Security, and GITC including governance & reporting, independent assurance, risk & control guidance and continuous monitoring of the Risk and Controls environment. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Design of Risk and Controls Matrices (RCMs) and execution of assessments against RCMs
    • Periodic reporting on reviews of the control’s environment and remediation of gaps identified
    • Perform reviews on technology processes, systems, infrastructure, and network infrastructure across the Cyber Security and GITC environments with the aim of proactively enhancing the control environment. 
    • Guiding management on recommendations for closure of items found.
    • Control design and implementation across the Cyber Security and GITC environments within Technology and related processes.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • A relevant IT/Technology Degree (e.g., BSc Computer Science/Engineering, BCom Informatics)
    • Relevant certifications would be advantageous, such as CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, CISSP, ITIL etc.

    Overall experience 3-5yrs, inclusive of:

    • At least 3-5 years’ experience in risk, assurance, controls, and compliance management in a technology environment 
    • At least 3 years’ experience in Technology Security or a Technology Audit function would be advantageous.
    • At least 3-5 years’ experience in process definition and management is advantageous.
    • A relevant Technology post graduate degree\diploma will also be an added advantage.

    Business Manager: Group CFO

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The incumbent will report directly to the Group CFO and should have a strong financial background and good project management knowledge as well as an in-depth knowledge of the business and industry. 
    • To increase the available time and agility of the Group CFO in order to focus her time, effort and priorities on strategic initiatives

    Your responsibilities will include:

The role will lead the development of analytical capabilities across the Telco Lending portfolio, enabling commercial growth, customer value management (CVM), product optimisation, and strategic decision-making.
    • The successful candidate will leverage advanced analytics (using SQL), data visualisation, experimentation, and customer segmentation techniques to generate actionable insights and influence business outcomes.
    • This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and regular engagement with senior leadership.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Ensure a best in class analytical environment and data architecture within VFS Telco Lending (tooling, automation, data pipelines, governance).
    • Conduct exploratory and in-depth data analytics using relevant technologies. 
    • Build and maintain automated dashboards and reporting frameworks that monitor key metrics, customer performance, and campaign outcomes.
    • Complete data quality validation to identify deviations from trends and generate possible corrective actions
    • Propose and perform complex analysis on customer characteristics and behaviour to identify opportunities and inform product development and marketing activities
    • Develop and maintain customer segmentation models (behavioural, value based, lifecycle, risk based).
    • Support the CVM (Customer Value Management) function with insights that drive targeted campaigns, personalisation, and lifecycle management strategies. 
    • Provide analytical input for offer design, campaign targeting, and channel optimisation. 
    • Measure campaign effectiveness through uplift analysis, control group experimentation, and ROI calculations.
    • Drive experimentation (A/B testing, proofs of concept, pilot programmes) to validate hypotheses and optimise customer outcomes.
    • Prepare high quality Power Point and Excel analyses to be presented to end stakeholders 
    • Constant innovation and experimentation to identify opportunities and improvements. 
    • Communicate insights through compelling data storytelling tailored to non technical stakeholders. 
    • Standardise reporting frameworks across Growth, CVM, and Product functions to ensure single source-of-truth business metrics.
    • Lead innovation initiatives to improve analytical methodologies, automation levels, and data use cases.
    • Foster a culture of data-driven thinking within cross functional squads.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Bachelor’s or Honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
    • Expert proficiency in SQL.
    • Proven ability in descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics techniques. 
    • Strong experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.). 
    • Advanced stakeholder management, storytelling, and communication skills. 
    • Experience working with large-scale digital products, mobile apps, or high-volume customer datasets (advantageous). 
    • Experience in CVM analytics, segmentation, campaign measurement, and CRM systems (advantageous)

    Specialist: Planning & Optimisation

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To analyse network performance, do site planning, optimisation and configuration

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Conduct all site planning and optimisation
    • Ensure optimal performance on network quality by monitoring the network statistics through the relevant tools and implementing determined corrective action
    • Pro-actively analyse and recommend capacity dimensioning requirements on all network elements
    • Pro-actively analyse and verify in-depth network problems by performing relevant traces 
    • Investigate and rectify all network failures received from regular drive testing routes by outsourcing companies (e.g. ATIO & P3)
    • Conduct cluster optimisation of existing network

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • 3 years National Diploma or Degree in Electrical (light current) or Electronic Engineering or a SAQA accredited equivalent
    • Telecommunications (GSM, UTRAN, LTE) courses (essential)    
    • Minimum of 3 years relevant RAN technologies is essential
